Rose Hospital

A small clinic known as Rose Hospital is located in the center of the marketplace. The clinic consists of two rooms, one being an operating room, the other crammed with several beds for recovering patients. The building is hardly large enough to serve its purpose.

By the time Jed made it back to town form the mine he was sick from dehydration. He passed out just as entered the town and a resident found him and took him into the hospital. A nurse put him on a cot with three other patients who were wounded when the tavern was destroyed.

Ail pounded down the road and skidded to a rearing halt in front of the hospital.
Before he could even put his feet on the ground, Raven was rushing inside, and found the first nurse who wasn't busy.
After some pleading, she and the younger woman darted outside. Raven mounted her horse, and offered her hand down to the girl, pulling her up and on before turning her horses head, and setting him into a gallope.

Gohby arrived at the hospital after a brisk walk. He felt refreshed, knowing that this task would bring him peace of mind. He went into the hospital and tried hard to appear that he was a concerned visitor.
It didn't take him long to find Jed in the cot with the other patients. He glanced around and waited until the attendant was out of the room.

Gohby saw that Jed was in and out of conciousness. He opened his briefcase and took out a syringe. He also took out a small vial and filled the syringe with it. Next he casually took Jed's arm and injected him with it. Then he left with a rather quick pace.

Jed was having a dream that he was together with his wife and children again. That was his last thought as the arsenic spread through his body. He took one huge gasp and then forever stopped breathing.

Fermata, whom hadn't been feeling well, had checked herself into the hospital a few days prior. The nurses had diagnosed her with a minor case of influenza and had instructed her to stay. Now she lay in her bed quietly, glancing at the other patients.
As she drifted into a feverish sleep, she drearily observed that one of the men hadn't moved in quite some time.

A fly flew in the window and landed on Jed's nose. Soon another one flew in and another. A few landed on Fermata but most sat on Jed's face.

Fermata cried out uneasily and turned over in her sleep. She was dreaming of sleeping outside in a storm, the flies seeming like rain.
A nurse arrived to see what the problem was and noticed the flies landing on Jed. She turned him over and screamed with surprise.
"Someone call the sheriff!"

Abagail quickend her pace at the sound of screaming and ran in quickly, her eyes widening. She cursed loudly and watched a nurse run out in search of the sherrif.
Nothing seemed to want to stay calm!

Clay walked into the hospital after a short ride from the cemetary. He blocked the door behind him to keep everybody in the hospital from leaving.
He looked at Abagail and Fermata and addressed them both.
"You," he said to Abagail and pointed at Jed's body, "did you see how this man died? and did this alleged witch have anything to do with it?" he said pointing to Fermata. "It is strange how your always around trouble isn't it little girl?"

Fermata was mad. She swore as she woke up and glanced up at Clay Hallow sleepily.
"Idiote! Do you always talk to the ill when they are asleep, Monsieur Hallow?"
She hid her face in her pillow and wrapped the blankets around her, shivering and secretly hoping that Clay Hallow would catch what she had and go home.

Abagail raised her eyebrows.
"The young girl didn't do it." She looked to the side, Fermata was an accused witch. So was Raven, even Hellister. And this man was waving around the flag of guilt harder then anything.
Abagail pondered.
"Sheriff. Why would someone kill the person who's life they depended on? Raven said that he was going to fess up to having harmed the cow." She looked the dead man over.
"Who in their right mind would kill someone who could save their life? Your looking at the wrong person Sherrif."
