xx a doll nailed to the wall
« Thread started on: Oct 28th, 2007, 12:59pm »

Nigel walked into the church. His eyes were vacant. He knew that he had to make things right. In his left hand was a doll and in his right was a hammer and a nail. He would disrespect the church only beause he knew if things went wrong. His whole house would need to be blessed and chances were he diddnt want that. Nigel held the doll against the wall placing a nail on it's chest. He then took the hammer with his other hand and began to nail it into the wall.

Nigel needed complete focus here. If he diddnt he could let in spirits that he diddnt wish to communicate with. Which could be disasterous.

Nigel calmly breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth. Feeling himself lose himself. His eyes shut automatically. Entering a world that he hadnt entered before.

Nigel saw nothing except for darkness. As he moved forward to the shape of the woman in front of him. Tears rolled down his face as he saw her.

In the outside Nigel's face was blank as the tears rolled down his face. His finger were shaking as he touched the doll with his fingers.

Nigel continued moving towards her in the spirit world. Her long blonde hair seemed to glow in the darkness.

Tara watched from the back pew as a man began to nail a doll to the church wall. She shook her head with a small smile. People always went to such a distance to show their disrespect for the church. Tara, being an angel, should have felt offended, but her recent turn for the worse helped her control that.

"You probably shouldn't do that." Tara said softly as she finally stood. Her white robes flowed to the ground and her dark hair fell around her shoulders as she walked towards the man. Tara's wings were tucked away behind her since there was no need for them indoors.

Tara knelt down knext to him and shook her head. "Our God is a vengeful God." she said matter of factly. She would know.

Nigel's head turned towards the sound. The form of the woman vanished instead their was a thousand voices talking in the black abyss.

Outside of the spirit world Nigel took his hand off the doll quickly. Realizing quickly he had screwed up. His vision was cloudy as he fell backwards hitting the ground. His pupils grew as the darkness of them covered his whole eye. He slowly struggled to turn over.

His body was a slave to the spirit world. A connection for them to get in. The voices from his past echoed louder then it did before. "your no son of mine" Nigel said. Quickly mimicking the voice that had was burning into his brain.

Tara chuckled softly as the man hit the floor. That's what he gets for messing with a higher power. Tara touched her glowing hands to his cheeks. "Relax." she whispered to him. luckily some of her angelic power remained with her. "Relax..." she repeated again, keeping one hand on his cheek and moving the other to his heart.

What she was doing was trying to restore a calming effect to his body. Tara had often been in charge of this when young children had prayed for their nightmares to go away. "Look in my eyes." she commanded as she tilted his chin slightly to where his eyes could find hers.

Nigel felt the her put her hand on his face. He waved his arms wildly. Until she tried to calm him down with super special awesome angel powers. Nigel stopped shaking. His eyes were still black and vacant to the world.

"run take your brother" Nigel said quickly. Tears went down his face as he said those words. They were dead. He used to dream that his father and mother survived. Now it was true they were dead.

"help me please" Nigel said. Still speaking for the spirits that had followed him all these years.

Tara shook her head and lifted the man's head into her lap, stroking his hair back out of his face. His flailing arms didn't bother her too much. She simply caught his arms and tried her best to pin them at his side. "Shhhh." She whispered quietly. "Shhh." She could tell the dream must have been pretty terrible.
Tara closed her eyes finally and tried her best to concentrate on helping him. The act would probably drain her for the day, but at least she had enough power left to help him.

"I will help you." Tara said to him. She didn't know why. She didn't even know who he was. "I promise." she added. Tara knew that she probably shouldn't have made a promise to him, but it was the best that she could do to help him.

"am I going to get better Nigel" Nigel said calmly. No longer getting worked up on the incident. Instead listening to the voice. He was concious he could move but the voices could speak for him. He couldnt talk. He knew it was a mistake to even try. He shouldnt have tried.

Nigel? Was that the man's name? Tara wasn't so sure. "Yes... Nigel will get better... with my help." She replied, unsure if she should maybe use her power to peek into his mind. "Let Nigel speak to me." she said, suddenly understanding what was happening. Of course Tara felt as if she could push around whatever was inside his mind. "Get out of his mind and let me speak to him."
Excercism wasn't exactly Tara's cup of tea, but she could have a crack at it.

Nigel suddenly felt the spirits back away. His eyes were still black. "they're all dead" Nigel said slowly. It almost hurt to talk. He felt the spirit drained from him. "I have to take care of him....WHERE IS HE!!!" Nigel said yelling at Tara.

Tara sighed, "In a different part of your mind. Now lower your voice before I put you through more pain that that spirit did." she threatned. Tara didn't like to feel underminded. "You commit a sin and that is what happens." She said in a voice which was lower and very different from the soothing one that she had used when talking to the spirit.

"Look at me." Tara told Nigel. "Look into my eyes and tell me that you desperately need that spirit to come back." she said. Her eye were flecked with little golden swirls and her skin was still glowing. Herbreathing slowed suddenly. She was weak from draining a power helping a man who didn't seem to want it.

"it's your job to look after him he's younger then you Nigel...your brother doesnt know what he's doing sometimes he's too innocent" Nigel said. Before feeling a light hit him.

It was so beautiful. He had seen his demons and angels all at once. He felt tears roll down his face as he entered the physical world. The girl gazing over him was so beautiful. His eyes were still completely black but their was look of emotion. As if he was in sure awe of the light.

"are you here to save me?" Nigel said. Amazing by her glowing skin. "are you the light at the end of my tunnel." Nigel smiled. His face seemed to have a look of pure joy. Except for the eyes which were black and vacant. A sign that the window could never be shut. Even by the gods divine power.

"I know I have to keep the balance" Nigel said in a counfused state. He diddnt know if it had been her communicating through him or the spirits. But despite the instense pain. It had reflected his life onto himself. That despite how hard he tried. That his past wasnt gone forever. Just on a different plane.

"it's your job to look after him he's younger then you Nigel...your brother doesnt know what he's doing sometimes he's too innocent"

Finally it seemed as if her power was having some sort of effect on him. It was about time. As Nigel began to calm down Tara lightened her grip on him just enough to still be able to control his movements from hitting her or something like that.

"are you here to save me?" Nigel said. Amazing by her glowing skin. "are you the light at the end of my tunnel."

Tara smiled back at him. "Yes. I am here to save you. But I must tell you that the tunnel is only just beginning." she said, encouraged that he was starting to come to.

"I know I have to keep the balance"

"Balance is a necesity in life. I shall be your guardian angel... to make sure that you maintain it." Tara vowed quietly. It couldn't hurt. Sure Tara wasn't currently the best angel, but it was only around Angelus that she had to pretend to be as evil as she could be.
Chances were Angelus would never be around this man.

"that's why I cant to this church I guess to hear the voices and see who the real bad person was...I think I know that was now"

Tara thought for a moment. "I will not follow you, but you can call me when you are in need of my company. All you have to do is say the name Tara and I am there." she tried to sound hopeful. "Think of me as your silver lining... your second chance."

"that's why I cant to this church I guess to hear the voices and see who the real bad person was...I think I know that was now"

"Who is the bad person? Tell me... you can trust me." Tara prodded as she ran her angelic hand through his hair.
