His words were burning in her ears as she wondered if there was another way to help him. Perhaps her suddenly deciding would help save him. With one hand holding the reins, Genesis let her hand slowly move to touch his shoulder, giving a soft grip with as much sympathy as possible.

"I apologize for your loss, Mr. Jones and I had no idea what you have been going through. I was unaware of the what has happened between you and Dionysus but I have no idea how I can help ease your mind that I am not here to spy on you. I was sent to find you since...since..." For a moment Genesis was speechless wondering if she should agree so quickly. He looked so unhappy and if there was a way to help him, then she would. It was an idea, and if he he didn't want to then it was nothing to her.

Finally digging up the courage, Genesis pushed forward with the idea.

"I was sent out here with the proposal of..." The courage left her while she felt all the years of schooling leave her while she started to resort back to her old ways before Ariona schooled her.

"Damn it," she cursed, removing her hand from his shoulder as it balled into a fist while she decide to be pain and straight about it. "I was sent here as a bride; Dionysus thought my company would bring a brightness into your life...if you accept that is..."

Mr. Jones let out a sigh and his eyes occupied the ground once again. A small smirk formed on his face. He just could chuckled under his breathe again.

"That devil told you he was gonna be meeting some fine mighty rich man aint he? some hustlin city boy to sweep you off your feet and you meet some lonely farmer tied to the water pump" Mr. Jones said chucklig alittle. He was trying to make light of the proposal. He couldn't help but feel alittle tempted by the girl. He glanced up at her nice young soft face and then stared back at the ground. His grin became larger and he felt as if perhaps maybe he could do this.

"I knew clearly what I was getting myself into before I ventured out here, Mr. Jones. I remember you at the bar," she said, giving a soft smile. It was true, she knew who he was and although he was just a lonely farmer, she knew he would rather be much better than the rich chasing city boys. "You see Mr. Jones, I am adopted into a rich family and came from a very poor family. Beggars can't be choosers, like my mother used to say."

Mr. Jones stopped speaking for a second and just leaned back in the wagon. This woman comes from the desert offering her hand in marriage. The words that burnt man spoke reappeared into Mr. Jones mind. 'Harlot of the devil'. Those were the words spoken and now Mr. Jones was sure of their meaning.

"Ma'am you dont understand I'm the man that looks back and you werent back there ma'am I wore my wedding ring for twenty years and you aint what I'm after" Mr. Jones said calmly glancing back up at her sweet tender face. His brain scolded him for speaking such words. However Mr. Jones was positive that this was yet another test.

A part of her felt relieved when she heard the words and she relaxed more in the seat.

"I understand," she said, giving a soft smile. It was nice of him that he thought of his deceased wife in such a way, making her yearn to find someone that would do that for her when she was gone. Hopefully, she would find someone like that and felt a large smile pull to her lips as she gazed over. "You are a very good man, Mr. Jones. It's rare to find someone with such loyalty you hold with just that statement."

"Aint no devil gonna trick me ma'am sent you to tempt me good miss could you please make the wagon go up to a good place for the cabin ma'am" Mr. Jones said politely his hands never left his rifle not once. There no time for chances when the devil is around.

AN: I apologize for the long hiatus, had lots of family come into town over the summer and classes on top of it.

IN:

Genesis felt she couldn't agree more as she led the stallion to what would be a good place to build a cabin. In the desert seemed like a great hiding spot for someone like Dionysus but since they weren't made out of rock, Genesis thought it would be best to stop at the next oasis. He may have no need for shade from the blistering sun or water, but humans did. Manging to get lucky, Genesis spotted the wagon at the next one and stayed seated.

"What else would you like me to do Mr. Jones?" asked Genesis, setting the reins down between them.

(OOC: btw I posted with Dionysus in the Edmund Household)

"Ma'am I reckon you aint need to do anything I just want some company fore I start" Mr. Jones said giving her a large wide grin. His rotten teeth sparkled in the sun light and he turn his head to the side of the wagon and spit out a huge wad of spit. The brown spit shined and almost disappeared into the sand drying up into the earth. He wiped the drool from his face and quickly turned back to Genesis.

"You reckon that thing'll get me my love back and I aint all in vain ma'am " Mr. Jones said his voice was full of worry and concern. He quickly moved his eyes to the desert background in order to avoid looking at those innocent childlike eyes.

Genesis couldn't help but feel the pit of her stomach churn as she thought if it would be true. Thinking about it from a different aspect, perhaps Dionysus was someone who wouldn't. If he had sent her out here, with a small idea in the back of her head to 'marry' Mr. Jones...it could be possible. Genesis felt a chill pulse through her at the negative thoughts as she pushed them away, finding the silence eerie.

"He will...I don't think you're doing this work in vain Mr. Jones. It's very much for a good cause, and if I had known sooner the circumstances behind it I would have never brought up the proposition," she finally replied, lifting her arms in a stretch. Jumping off the wagon with more vigor than before, in the deathly heat, Genesis peered up at Mr. Jones with a large smile. "Lets get to work Mr. Jones. The sooner we get this built, the quicker you get her back."

"Must be nice to be so blind in a way ma'am not liter-all-ee blind ma'am" Mr. Jones said he stuttered on that last word literally. His father talked with two business men and he had recalled that word Mr. Jones wasnt much of a book smart man. Only claim to fame what his rifle shooting. Mr. Jones slowly jumped off the wagon. He felt his legs buckle beneath him. He wasnt the strong man he once was. He stumbled a bet and walked slowly over to the back of the wagon.

"I must say that devil I saw him earlier I reckon that fella had burnt skin same as yours right?" Mr. Jones said wiping the beads of sweat off his forehead. He felt the back of his head thud and pound for a second or perhaps that was his heart. Didn't really matter Mr. Jones was intent on getting this cabin done.

Genesis paused the exhausting movements of pulling wood out of the back of the wagon with a curious look.

"Burning skin, Mr. Jones? I don't believe I have seen it," she replied honestly.

Mr. Jones paused for a bit after he heard her speak about not seeing the devil. He scratched his head let out a sigh. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out the last of his chewing tobacco. Chewing tobacco always calmed his nerves. A horrible habit that his father had passed on from the grave. Mr. Jones chewed on the tobacco anxiously and quickly turned over to look at Genesis.

"If that aint what you saw...wh-at lead you here then? ma'am...I need a description ma'am" Mr. Jones said his speech was full of pauses as he continued to nervously chew on the tobacco.

Genesis was starting to wonder if she had been tricked or if Dionysus was the same man she had been speaking about to Mr. Jones this entire time. Taking out her lacked handkerchief, she pulled up the netting to dab sweat from her brow.

"His name was Dionysus, Mr. Jones while his body was made of stone," replied Genesis.

"Damn desert plays tricks on the mind guess....aint never seen what was in that mine" Mr. Jones said quickly as if to use that as an excuse. He quickly spit the tobacco out of hi mouth. The brown pile of spit hit the wagon. The tobacco stayed for a while before sliding and disappearing into the desert's sand. Mr. Jones glanced up at Genesis and smiled a reasssuring 'I know I'm not crazy' grin.

"So stone you say ma'am...I hope I got enough gun powder to blast the bastard away" Mr. Jones said a sly grin formed on his face and he continued to unload more wood.

Genesis felt a bit confused, pulling out more wood from the wagon.

"Then why do all this if you're just going to try and kill him? Don't you think he would do something to get back at you?" asked Genesis, trying to figure out what he was doing. Why would someone go through all this hard work to get a wife back if, in the end, she could end up dead again by trying to kill the man who brought her back?
