The girl on stage finished singing and retreated to behind the curtain. For some reason he felt like he was lightheaded, so he took a few breaths to steady himself. He turned to Andy and said, "What did you say?"

"Nothing, nothing..." Andy said, but smiled knowingly at her brother. She looked at the empty stage, then back at Scott. "Infatuated already, eh?" she asked, playfully.

"What do you mean?" he asked her, putting a confused look on her face. "I was just watching her sing."

Adrian winked at him, and nudged him with her elbow. "Aww, don't try and pull that one with me. I'm yer sister, remember? I saw th' look on your face, why don't ya try and ask her out after the show? Or, better yet, go backstage and ask her now?"

"Uh..." Scott said, stalling for time. "I don't know how to get to the back. And plus...why would someone like her want to go out with me? Most likely, she has a line of suitors after her."

"Who's next?" He asked looking at the stage. Peeking out the curtain noticing how many people had actually came to watch... "Wow" He said to himself quietly.
Looking around he sat at the back of the room waiting for his curtain call.

The man appeared on the stage, considerably relieved that the latter act had actually decided to make an appearance. He looked around at the audience, smiling.
"To finish up the night, we have acts from Rena, Kuro Imari, and, uh," he pulled a crumpled piece of paper from his front pocket which, before then, everyone had been assuming was a classy folded handkerchief.
"'We also have a very special guest today, who I'm sure you are all looking forward to. Our last act will be performed by the renowned magician, the wonderful Ms. Miakoda Cassidy.' So... enjoy the rest of the show!"
He once again walked back stage.
"Rena, you're up."

"It's worth a try, though. Who knows? She might take a fancy to you. If not, too bad, you can always drink until ya can't find yer feet. That option is always available." Adrian said, and glanced over at him. "Take it as advice from someone already in love- if you like someone, don't let them go. Ever. If Conwell had just given up on me and lost his nerve, now where would we be?"

Adrian watched the man announce a name she had never heard before, and someone called "Miakoda Cassidy". "Miakoda who? Hey, Scott, do you know who that is?"

Delia gave a smile and a true but delicate clap to the singer who seemed to have a stunning voice, while Kappa sulked in her chair with a sour look plaster on her face at the lack of entertainment.

"He just read that right off of the paper, didn't he?" Miakoda asked Darius, who had just returned from looking out through one of the wings near the curtain.

"Yeah. What a prepared show we have here," he grumbled in response.

"There's been worse," Cornelius pointed out.

"Okay, guys, I know what we're going to do. Now we just have to wait." Miakoda smiled and found a chair to sit in.

He looked around. a Little ray of sunshine shone through one of teh streaks of wood. Dust flew, it captivizing its rays.
"Some people are mean.. When Some can be sweet." He said to himself softly. "Did I know anything about that Dead girl?" he said asking himself. Dripping his head in silence. he awaited his turn..

Scott flipped through the program looking for Miakoda. "She's not in here," he said. "Wait..you're in love? Who's the lucky guy, Andy?"

Elaina saw that there was a variety show going on and she decided that it wouldn't hurt to sneak a peek at it. She had bought a ticket from the frint and walked on it. It seemed as if the show had already started, but that didn't stop her. As she looked around Elaina saw a mix of people that she knew such as Andy and Delia.

After deciding that it wouldn't be best to make her appearance known, she lay her head on the table she sat at and sighed heavily. For some reason she just wasn't happy. Maybe it was the 'petty affair' from earlier or it oculd possibly have been someting else. Elaina didn't care. All she knew was this town was going to kill her at some point.
