"Yes, she was at the river a few days ago, injured," Fermata recalled. "A lot of strange things happened that day and most of it I would rather not remember at the moment, but I will tell you that she did not speak good English and she had a friend named Kuro."

Standing on stage he softly began.
"I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned " As he continued illusions piled up throughout the stage. Strames of sunlight lifting through the walls.
"Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find "
As he continued the sun spurred all over the theater the walls slowly vanishing. ((This is an Illusion)) His voice seemed to get bigger as he sung.
"Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your innovations
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten "

Stepping out into the audience he seemed to be in air. But then A Flight of golden stairs appeared in apperation form as he moved along. The floor looked like it was a beach now the seats underneath all sandy, The sound of the ocean rushing by.

"Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way "
Sun seemed even brighter then before. The ocen seeping into the room. the sound of waves crushing gathering around.

"Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inner visions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins "

At this moment rain started to fall into from the building sky. His voice large and soothing.

"Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inner visions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, yeah, yeah "

The rain spurred and continued but slowly died down the clouds reaching a break spurring out sunshine into the distance as he continued onward. As his voice died he left out a smile. "Thank you" He said the room turning back to a complete normal state everything back like it was.

"Yay, that means we're up!" Miakoda said as the song ended. "Hurry, go!"

Cornelius and Darius rushed to put on their masks and dissapeared out of the backstage room and in the next moment appeared in a puff of smoke on stage.

"Presenting, the lovely Ms. Miakoda Cassidy!" They said in unison. Miakoda then appeared in a puff of smoke on the stage.

"Thank you! I'll need a volunteer, please? How about you, dear?" she selected a young boy from the audience who meekly approached the stage. Miakoda smiled at the audience.
"Prepare to be amazed!"
She walked around a few feet behind the boy and appeared to be concentrating deeply. Suddenly, he began to levitate a few inches off of the ground. The boy looked stunned.
Cornelius and Darius motioned for the audience to applause, and Miakoda dropped the boy back to the ground, thanked him, and he returned to his seat in the audience.
Darius proceeded to bring Miakoda a cage and a cloak, and Cornelius brought a bird and showed it to the audience.

"Perfectly normal dove, as you can see," he said from behind his mask, then put it in the cage and returned to his spot at the side of the cage.
Miakoda put the cloak on the cage and pulled it off in a second. The dove had become a raven. She repeated this until the dove had become an eagle, a seagull, and finally a dove again.
Darius and Cornelius returned to take the cage.

"For the last trick, I'd like another volunteer from the audience, preferably an adult. Anyone?" She looked around, waiting.

Adrian elbowed Scott, and pointed to the stage. "Oi. Bro. Ya don't have to talk to her after the show, anymore. You can try it right now." she said, and grabbed him by the arm. She lifted his arm up, and used her other hand to point to his.

"Andy, I'm not going up there!" he whispered at her. He tried to sit down but she wouldn't let him. Finally, he gave up and said, "I'll be your volunteer I guess."

Sara walked into the variety show after purchasing a ticket for both her and her daughter Diem. Diem tagged along beside her occasionally skipping a step to keep up. Sara looked around and finally spotted Elaina at a table. She drew in a deep breath and walked over, "Hi, Elaina West?" she asked softly. She wanted to be sure that she had the right person.

Miakoda looked up in the direction of the voice, shading her eyes from the bright gas lights.
"Then come on down, sir," she said cheerily, then walked along the stage to Darius, taking a candle from him and lighting it.
"You need to concentrate on the name of someone who really matters to you, then write it on this paper and show it to the audience. Make absolutely sure that I do not see it."
Cornelius approached and held out a fountain pen and paper to the man who was coming on stage, while Darius took a blindfold and tied it over Miakoda's eyes and turned her away from the crowd.

"Excuse me, sir. Excuse me, ma'am. Oh, I'm sorry," he said as he walked out of the row, causing a child to drop his candy apple. He walked down the carpeted aisle and climbed the stairs up to the stage. Scott took the paper and the fountain pen and looked at it thoughtfully. Finally, he wrote the name in long looping letters and showed it to the crowd.

Elaina looked up, surprised to hear someone saying her name in such a nice tone. "What the he---heaven's sake?!" she turned her rude exclamation into a happy one on moment as soon as she saw who it was. "Well if it isn't Sara Cromwell!" she said excitedly, "Haven't seen you in years..." her eyes then fell on Diem, "um, who's the kid?" she asked Sara.

Sara smiled, glad to see that Elaina was reacting good to her showign up. Sara knew all about Elaina's bad cursing habit and she had asked Elaina not to use that language around her years ago, she was just glad that Elaina seemed to remember that. "I know... it's been a long time, Elaina." she said as she crossed her arms over her lap, "Oh, this is my daughter..." she said. She was about to tell Elaina that her daughter's name was Diem, but she was beat to the punch, "I'm Diem!" the small girl said with pride, "I'm this many years old!" she exclaimed as she held up four fingers.

Miakoda opened her mouth to speak, but Darius interrupted her.
"HEY YOU OVER THERE! Shut up!" he shouted from behind his mask. "Can't you tell there's a show going on? Have you people no respect? If you don't shut up, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

Cornelius rolled his eyes. Typical Darius.
"You don't be so rude."

"They were rude to us, weren't they?" he shot back.

Miakoda frowned. This wasn't good for publicity.

Clay walked into the show late. Apparently there were some hecklers in the theatre. He hoped dearly that he didn't miss Travis's performance. He hoped even more that his son wouldn't be heckled.

Conwell slowly woke up, shaking his messy head of hair as he pushed himself into an upright sitting position on the floor, his legs spread straight out in front of him. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Sean remarked, and was met with an exhausted glance. "What's the damage report?" he asked, covering one eye with his palm as he attempted to focus. "Well, let's see. Your girlfriend-" "FiancÚ." "Whatever." "No, not whatever. If you insult her, at least use the proper terms." "Conwell, will you shut up for a moment and let me lecture you?" Conwell scoffed, and stuck his lip out like an angry toddler. "Fine. Meanie." he said, in a very babyish tone. Sean flipped Conwell off, and glared at him, while Conwell's expression instantly sobered. "As I was saying, your fiancÚ replaced the rabbit with a lump of rotten meat. You flipped out, and the pups ate it. Onstage." Conwell winced, and shrugged. Not all that bad. "After that, it went downhill."

Conwell's shoulders dropped. You forgot to latch the hat back up, the fireworks thing made your cape catch fire, the deck slipped out of my sleeve, and the smokescreen let out a bang so loud you apparently thought the puppies had exploded, and passed out. All of this was onstage as well, the audience was laughing their damn guts out." Connie groaned, and laid down, putting both of his palms against his forehead. "La la laaaa... Can't hear you..." he said, and Sean patted him gently on the cheeks a few times. "Connie. Don't be immature. We're still getting paid, remember?" "No, we're not. This was a volunteer job."

That was the last straw. Sean stood up, and kicked Connie in the ribs as hard as he could. Conwell let out a shout of both surprise and pain, (moreso the former, seeing as how he had enough muscle to make a bodybuilder look skinny) and fell to the floor in the fetal position. "What the HELL were you thinking, signing us up for a job WITHOUT PAY?! We AGREED, Connie, that ANY jobs I help you with I get AT LEAST a 20% cut in. How can I get 20%... OF NOTHING?!" he shouted, and kicked Conwell again, this time right in the nose. Blood poured out of it, and Sean brung his fist down into Connie's eye one last time (for good measure) before storming angrily out of the theatre. Conwell laid there for a moment, bleeding and crying, until he had calmed down. His best friend had just walked out on him, right after the rest of the troupe. His only friends that had lasted with him this long. He had known Sean for years, he thought that he considered them friends... Guess not. Conwell stood up, nursing his no-doubt broken nose, and limped out of the theatre, his cane clicking lazily on the floors behind him as he walked.

Adrian noticed Conwell clutching his nose and hurrying out of the theatre. She looked over at Scott... She couldn't quite make out the name he had written down, but that wasn't important. She nodded to where Conwell was, and got up out of the booth. She needed to check on Conwell, make sure he was alright. Scott would understand, if he really was in love. If he had seen Sabra storming out of the theatre bleeding, he'd probably check on her too.
