Ray was wondering why he had come along. He should have left by now. But the show would be fun. As a bonus, scientists usually had some "sub-ethical" jobs that they needed to hire someone for.

The carriage came to a stop. Hellister responded when it did, "Fun eh? This will be the most spectacular night of our lives."

Hellister helped Sicilia down from the carriage and escorted her inside. He took a seat close to the other attendees.

"I see the show is begining," Hellister felt the ring in his pocket, timing was everything. He knew when the moment arrived it would be evident.

Sicilia smirked and allowed him to whisk her inside. She sat down next to Hellister, of course, and looked up at the stage. "Yes, it does. I'm so excited. I wonder what's under the sheet," she muttered.

"That's because you're morbid," Sicilia pointed out with a light chuckle.

Wade smiles and begins the show once he assumes everybody is seated.

“To begin, I would like to dedicate this show to a number of people; everything you see here today in fact, will be a dedication. A dedication to all those who gave their lives to make the world better, to those who will give their lives. I want you all to understand this, and be able to take this home with you, the show comes second, and this message comes first.” He pauses for a moment and reaches under the podium before him and sets a number of things on top of it.

He takes the first things he pulled out and holds he high above his head for all to see, a simple bar of soap. He then points to a random Clauden citizen, moderately dressed, didn’t seem to be with anybody, motioning for him to come up. He sets the soap down, and takes the man’s hand in his, and begins to talk again, “Soap. Few know of its true origins. Ancient peoples found that when they wash their clothes at a certain point in a river, their clothes would clean better. Why? Human sacrifices were once made on the hills above this river. Bodies burnt, water speeded through the wood ashes to create lye.” With his free hand Wade grabs a canister of something from under his podium and again holds it for all to see. “This is lye - the crucial ingredient. The lye combined with the melted fat of the bodies, till a thick white soapy discharge crept into the river.” Suddenly, Wade licks his lips, and kisses the man’s hand, confusion quickly sweeping over the weary stage guest’s face. “And, this is a chemical burn…” Wade dumps an amount of white powder from the canister onto the man’s hand.

The sizzling sound of flesh carries, however largely drowned out by the man’s screams as he tried to fight with Wade for his hand back, which was still held tightly. The smell began to spread quickly as wade held him tight, despite the man’s fight to free his hand.

“The first soap was made from the ashes of hero’s. Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing,” Wade turns directly to the man, “Our fathers were our models for God. If our fathers bailed, what does that tell you about God?”

He stutters, not thinking straight, which is reasonable considering the circumstance, “No, no, I... don't...”

Wade jerks his hand around, “Listen to me! You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you. He never wanted you. In all probability, he hates you. This is not the worst thing that can happen. We don't need him! F***$ damnation, man! F*** redemption! We are God's unwanted children? So be it!” Wade seemed as if he was ignoring the audience, as if nothing else mattered, only what was right in front of him.

The man managed to choke out a few words in between his cries, “OK. Give me some water!”

Wade slaps him across the face before continuing with more bravado than before, “Listen, you can run water over your hand and make it worse or... Look at me... Or you can use vinegar and neutralize the burn. First you have to give up, first you have to *know*... not fear... *know*... that someday you're gonna die.” And oddly, the man stops his crying. He holds out his hand smoothly now, and wade lets go. The man, who had long since fallen to his knees, sits in a mass of sweat, holding his burning hand out calmly. And then, Wade take the third object he pulled out, pops off a rubber cap that was holding it securely, and pours vinegar on his hand. “It’s only after losing everything, that we’re free to do anything.”

The man heads back to the audience, not sitting anymore, standing against the wall instead, still clutching on to his hand, more relaxed, and now completely drawn to Wade’s words.

Before Francesca had time to react to any of the people around her or read the note, the show had begun.
She started as Wade poured the substance on the man's hand.

"He's mad," Lavender whispered, closing her eyes and not opening them until the man stopped screaming.

Justin looked towards the front as the show started. He could hardly belive his eyes as the man suffered in pain. To bad he didn't know and spells that could ease ones pain. He just closed his eyes and let out a sigh. He looked around hoping no one was watching him as he pulled out a knife. He started to draw a rune on the arm of the chair he was in. After completing the rune he place his finger in the middle of it. This rune was suppose to let him see if any demons possed this man.

After seeing none he still wasn't sure. After all higher level demons where harder to spot. This town was quite different and he knew that know. The people may have been the most scarest he had ever met.

Francesca took advantage of the time where everyone was reacting to Wade's stunt to read the note.
She didn't really understand what Dwight was trying to prove. If he wanted to say what was on the note, why did he have to hide it so no one else would hear?
Would it ruin his image?
She put the note away and looked over at Justin, who was carving something on the chair.
"What are you doing?" she whispered.

Jamie listened to the screams from outside.
"Sounds like we're missing quite the party," he said jokingly, unphased. "I'll wait for your little girly out here if you want to go in and watch."

"What kind of show is this, anyway?" Larghetto frowned. "I think I'd rather wait out here with you. And honestly, I'm not altogether sure that Dahlia will show up."

"Oh its...err....hard to explain." He said not really knowing what to say.

He didn't really know how to explain it. Maybe if he knew the town a little better he would have understood that people knew magic existed here.

Sicilia's eyes widened at what she had just seen. "Wow, this man is insane," she mumbled absently to herself. Gently, she shook her head to calm herself down. "He could have warned the poor guy," she added under her breath.

"Really? It looked like you were doing magic," Francesca said, clearly more interested in this than the show. She shrugged and leaned back in her chair.

"Yes, I was...Do you know anything about it." Justin said not knowing that she looked away.

He himself started to watch the man again trying to study him, trying to figure him out. He rubbed at the mark in the chair making it now seem like nothing more then a few since less markings.
