Dwight glared at Wesley. He was never much for having his intelligence insulted at all. With a sigh he shook his head, "I suppose you're right... a show would be much too exciting for you, Mr. Pressman." he said in an uninterested tone. "What is it you want to talk about?" he asked.

Alexandrea shook her head, "Dwight... please don't make this any more difficult than it already is..." she said softly, "Why did you burn down my stand?" she asked. Alex was always too gentle for her own good. In fact... Wesley had enough agression at the moment for the both of them.

"Yes, please just answer the question," Wesley said softly. He looked tired, as he just wanted this entire ordeal to end quickly.

"If you love her, tell her the truth."

Dwight frowned uneasily and shook his head, "No... there's no way I'm spilling everything in front of you, Pressman." he said with a sigh. With truth, some of his story was slightly on the embarassing side and the only one he felt comfortable sharing it with was Alex. Not her fiance that always seemed to think that he had the upper hand. Dwight motioned for Alex to follow him as he turned his back on them and walked further into the mine.

"Wait," Wesley demanded, grabbing on to Alex's wrist before she had a chance to walk away. He averted his eyes and lowered them to the ground.

After a few moments, his hand slowly slipped away from hers.

"Mr. Whitefeather, please make sure that she is safe. Is there any way you can do that?"

Dwight rolled his eyes and took Alex by the wrist, leading her back into the cave. "Enough of this lovey dovey stuff..." he muttered impatiently. Once they reached the desired location Dwight let go of her wrist and leaned against the cave wall. He knew that they'd be out of ear shot from the others unless that Jericho fellow followed them. Dwight saighed and leaned his head back against the stone, "Your fiancee is sooo presistant." he commented to her.

A frown captured Dwight's expression, "Alex... I came here to ask your forgiveness... but forgiveness wasn't enough I guess." Dwight said finally, "It's understood that burning your stand down was a big mistake... but I plan on cleaning up my life, Alex, that's a promise." he said as he placed his right hand over his heart.

"There will be no more rubbish from me... and I even planned on running to be a deputy." Dwight said as he smiled as sad smile. He pushed himself forward from the wall and took her hands in his, "Remember when we were engaged? It was such a great time for you... and myself." he paused, "Why ruin that with bad memories?" he asked.

One thing Dwight was good at was foooling people. Not that he was actually fooling Alexandrea. Just that he wasn't being completely truthful with her. He didn't plan to turn his life around right away just to make her happy; but he did have to make her think that he was.

((Fine, fine, if we must...poo, and i was really looking forward to seeing where that lead, too...))

The druid smiled slightly, "Of course, Wesley" he said softly, then walked over and placed his hand against the stone wall. He could have faded into the stone and listened to what they were saying in person, but he at least figured that they needed this one moment alone. And, if worst came to worst, he'd ask one of his friends in the living stone to come out and help. No, he was content enough to listen to the lost-lovers' conversation through the stone itself, for it conveyed it perfectly to him.

As he listened, he couldn't help but feel like this Dwight was an alright guy. Granted, experience had taught him that if someone was willing to burn down their lover's livelihood (which Jericho still needed to hit him for), he would be most unwilling to simply change his life at the drop of a hat. Then again, the love that the man felt in his heart was true, if not buried beneath a shell of darkness. Dwight did love Alexandria, but it was no longer like the love she had once had for him, or that she now has for Wesley. Be weary, Alexandria. His words may seem sweet, but they lack the feeling of someone who speaks the truth. the druid thought to the girl, her purity and basic all-around good nature granting him the ability to speak into her mind as he would animals or plants just this once. He did not trust this Dwight, not by a long shot, but also he did not believe it was his place to tell her what to think. All he could do was be there for her, and make sure that she wasn't so easily fooled by Mr. Lowry's illusions of honor and decency.

((Ooc: Hey Jericho... let's pretend she never got bitten by a vampire. That plot has nowhere to go since Slypher doesn't get on anymore. Let's just say that she's so in tune with nature she knows what you're saying to her ^_^))

"Enough of this lovey dovey stuff..."

Alex felt him grab her wrist and pull her towards the back of the cave. She didn't like it one bit. The mines were so dark and damp, and they had cob webs from not being used in such a long time. "Dwight... you're hurting my wrist." she said before they finally reached his desired spot.

"Your fiancee is sooo presistant."

Alexandrea nodded with a smile, "and I love him for it, Dwight." she said softly. There was a slight awkward feeling that surrounded the situation, and Alex wasn't sure she liked it. It wasn't a bad feeling or anything, but an awkward one... like something was going to happen that she nor Wesley and Jericho had expected, but she had a fleeting suspicion that Dwight knew.

"Alex... I came here to ask your forgiveness... but forgiveness wasn't enough I guess. It's understood that burning your stand down was a big mistake... but I plan on cleaning up my life, Alex, that's a promise."

With a sigh Alex leaned against the rough stone wall. One of the sharper stones actually scratched a part of her back which had been itching, and she was sligtly thankful for it. "Dwight, it's just that--" she stareted but Dwight cut her off before she could finish her thought.

"Remember when we were engaged? It was such a great time for you... and myself." he paused, "Why ruin that with bad memories?"

"I'm not ruining it with bad memories, Dwight." Alexandrea said in a gentle tone, "I would never do that... no matter how much contempt I had harbored up for you over the years." Alex said, "But with Wesley I am building up a set of better memories... and those help me not to think so much about the bad--" she was cut off once again and it was starting to lower her self confidence until she noticed that it was Jericho.

Be weary, Alexandria. His words may seem sweet, but they lack the feeling of someone who speaks the truth.

Alexandrea nodded, "Dwight, I would love to belive that you are going to turn your life around... and if you have made that decision then I am very proud of you. But that changes nothing, I still love Wesley and there's nothing you can do about that." she paused as she looked up to him, "How do I even know that you're telling the truth?" she asked.

One thing Alexandrea was very aware of was Dwights tendacy to fib a little bit. She normally didn't like to odubt people, but she had to in order to have this turn out the way she wanted it to.

(OOC: So alex isnt a vampire anymore?)

Armond had gotten some new at the town that a party was heading up to the old abandoned mine without any gear. He asked what the people looked like and some say they saw Alex, wes, and some other guy heading up the mine after another man. He decided to check it out and as he got to the mine entrance and saw Wes and Jericho standing there. He then knew Dwight was here and Alex was speaking with him. He held a finger up to his mouth as he walked by them both. He wasnt going to interfear unless he made a grab for Alex. As he went deeper in to the mine he walked slower and stuck to the shadows. He drew near to where they where and stayed in the shadows where no one could see him except Wes and The Druid since they watched him enter. Armond lay a hand on his pistol as he listend to there converstaiton which they where in the middle of.

((Nah...I don't think I could play a vampire right.... I'm not too comfortable with it. Since Slypher can't get on anymore I figured it would hurt to just drop it.))

"Dwight, I would love to belive that you are going to turn your life around... and if you have made that decision then I am very proud of you. But that changes nothing, I still love Wesley and there's nothing you can do about that." she paused as she looked up to him, "How do I even know that you're telling the truth?"

Dwight narrowed his eyes and looked towards the front of the cave, "What are they telling you, Alex? You should know that I'm telling the truth!" his voice grew a little louder with each word that spilled from his lips. He then shook his head and drew in a few deep breaths and exhaling them, "I've never offered to change my life for anyone before." he stated in a much calmer tone.

"How is it you do this to people?" Dwight asked finally, "People are willing to move on with their lives... until they meet you. Then everything has to change... it's like some little spell that takes over." he looked up to Alex with a confused look, "What kind of witch are you, Alex?"

Armond listened to the Converstation and realised he was in the middle. He had no clue what they where talking about but Dwight turning his life around? that would be a new one. Armond kept his hand on his pistol waiting for just one reason to Shoot dwight between the eyes and end this hardship on Alex.

"what kind of witch are you alex?"

Armond just flipped right about then. Alex a witch? ha what was dwight trying to pull over her eyes? Armond could tell he was lieing but didnt have conclusive evidence to jail him and he wasnt doing anything wrong but talking. Armond just stood there in the shadows woundering if Alex knew he was trying to pull something. Armond didnt know what it was but if Alex took the bait all hell would break loose.

Alexandrea looked to the ground as Dwight spoke. All of his words were ringing in her ears and Jericho wasn't saying anything to help her keep her cool in the situation. "I-um... Dwight... I know you haven't offered to change your life for anyone before, and I'm realy glad you are willing, really, but you should be able to do that without having me around you." she paused as Dwight began to speak again.

Alex frowned slightly, "Dwight, I'm not a witch... I haven't put spells on anyone.

"Yes, Alex, you are and you don't even realize it." Dwight said solomnly. "Come here... come closer to me." Alex looked a little worried about it at first, but she finally stepped a little closer to him. "It's a spell... a temporary thing, Alex." he looked back towards the front of the cave, "Why I'd hate to see it when your fiance of all people runs off with some vixon from the big city."

Dwight didn't mean to sound that crewl, the words were just coming out that way. He gently placed his hands on her arms, "At least with me you know there is some security... unlike with a man that can barely shoot a gun." Of course Dwight was fibbing just a little, but some of it was truthful.

Dwight would have a hard time telling his mob guys that he'd have to take a small break. What Alex didn't know wouldn't hurt her.

Armond had to contain himself from bursting out loud laughing. In his mind Wes was a better man then dwight could ever be. Wes was a honest man and did nothing wrong. So he couldnt shoot a gun that well not many can. In this town there is only one kind of Security and that was the sherrif and himself. And by god was he going to let dwight break wes and Alex apart. He was a little worried when dwight started holding Alex but he let it continue. He would have to show himself at the right moment.

Be strong, Alexandria, the druid's voice sounded in the poor girl's mind, Do not let his empty words sway you. Wesley would kill and die for you, he loves you like no other. He would stay with you till the end of time, no questions asked, something I doubt this Dwight could say. You are in love, and the man who loves you is standing right beside me.

The druid then looked down to the formerly-dead man crawl on his belly along the shadows of the wall. Oh, by the way, it turns out that your friend Armond is alive and he's only a meter or two from you right now Jericho then added as an afterthought.
