Travis sat by the entrance of the mine. He got bored so he started to spit on little ants he saw walking on the ground.

Mr. Jones stood in the woods. Like he had been for the last few hours awaiting the arrival of his guest. He looked at the boy Travis. He would wait until the other guest arrived for then his eyes glazed over and the voices reminded him clearly of the plan.

Travis passed gas and chuckled.

"Dang that is smelly. Hope I don't do that in the mines," Travis said laughing hysterically.

Eventually, Jamie showed up.
"Sorry I'm late," he said insincerely. "I was hoping to bring someone along with me or at least let them know of my whereabouts. Unfortunately, he's nowhere to be found. How... typical."

Travis laughed, "Don't step over there cause I just stank up the air."

"Can we go in now mister?"

Mr. Jones walked out of the forest. His face emotionless he gripped the stick of dynamite in his hand. He placed the dynamite in his back pocket. He stopped infront of Jamie. "sorry I am late...I threw out my back so I cannot do any mining" Mr. Jones said. The voices responded and laughed a bit knowing this was a lie. They complimented him for they did not want harm to come to him.

"Are you telling the truth?" Jamie said incrediously, looking down at Mr. Jones. Up close, dark shadows under his eyes became evident as if he hadn't slept for awhile. It gave him the appearance of a less friendly man who wasn't afraid to hurt someone, which in a sense, was who he really was behind his facade.
"Because you can take my word. If anything happens to me or this boy, you'll have a whole lot of people after you."

"do not fear a single thing" Mr. Jones said calmly. Almost with no fear of the consequences of letting Jamie die. In fact Mr. Jones had no intention of killing anyone that would be pointless. The voices had already told him their plan and thier intentions and that they would require even more hands then the ones currently availible.

Mr. Jones laughed abit. "I assure you if something were to happen to me you should expect the same."

Travis grabbed a pick and started swinging it a a rock outcropping on the side of a hill.

"Looky at me, I'm already getting started."

Travis swang the pick four times and looked at his results, "Aint there any gold yet?"

"Right," Jamie said. He stared at Mr. Jones a few moments more before turning and walking to Travis.
"Well, my friend... tell us where to go, then, will you?"

"light your lanterns and lets go" Mr. Jones said walking slowly into the mine. His eyes adjusted quickly so quickly it almost diddnt seem human. He gazed into the cave watching the faint light go further down. Guiding him down the path. He stood still waiting for the scum to hurry up.

(OOC: might asd well use this thread since it's gonna be effecting these characters too)

Marius carried the gatling gun and set it down. He was deep in the woods. Deep enough to not be seen if they went down a straight path. Marius sighed a bit and sat down. He quickly calculated all the bad results that could happen. Every last one of them involved one of the group member's dying. He needed to make a back up plan. Marius closed his eyes. Devising a plan. Not a plan for killing Albert but an escape plan.

Marius opened his eyes and devised his plan. He looked at his missing hand. That was still wrapped with cloth. He took the cloth off quickly. The scabby wound revealed. Marius almost gagged at how it looked. Marius took the cloth and struggled to cover his eyes with it. He threw the cloth down in frustration as he began to shout profanities.

Marius sighed softly and placed the cloth over one of his eyes. He used his missing hand to hold the cloth in place over his eye. Then using his other hand tied the cloth. This would give him the slight advantage at survival. If worst came to worse.

Jamie sighed and tediously lit his lantern.
"Tempus fugit, tempus fugit," he said to himself with much irritation. "Stay close to me, Travis, I don't trust this guy at all."
Before following Mr. Jones, he took a flask from inside his coat pocket and drank heartily from it. It was going to be a long day.

(Good idea Marius. nice combining of threads.)

Travis stood next to Jamie. "Why dontcha trust him?" Travis said way too loud.

"He's gonna make us rich."

((Belle might get caught up in this too. See Jean Hallow's post at the Hallow residenec.)
