"Well, thank goodness for that. I just hope I haven't acquired a stalker now," Eva said, stuffing the flowers into her back pocket. Considering the disproportionate ratio of men to women on the scene, she wondered exactly who Hellister assumed were the couples on this "group date".
"No thanks, just please don't cause any trouble. Do you have a gun?"
She looked at Marius and the Rooster.
"Yeah, let's keep moving."

"I am sure that you are absolutely elated that we have added Hellister Scowley to your already superfluous party," Jamie said. "But if it's a body we're looking for, isn't it likely long decomposed by now? It's completely ridiculous to be following someone who was being held as a prisoner."
He grinned. "If we get killed, Frenchie, then it's on your account now, isn't it? No pressure, my friend."

Marius looked at the others talking to eachother. He felt his stomach turn alittle. He diddnt really think the other people in this mine could be trusted. Even if they could Marius thought that they diddnt seem like they were the people who had good aim with thier guns. That was something Marius feared this the most after all some of the gun powder in the mines could still be active. Marius then looked over at Carlos and whispered to him softly so that only he could hear.

"Look you make sure Mr. Jones is kept under control I'll look after our new guests"

Mr. Jones had quickly walked ahead of the others as the voices slowly faded away. His eyes slowly began to adjust as he saw the rubble from the explosion that led to the death of Klay Hallow. Mr. Jones remembered another follower from his master however there ws no sign of his corpse so far. This trouble Mr. Jones perhaps master had no more use of him.
Mr. Jones frantically started lifting up rocks in an attempt to find some sort of clue until the voices could reassure him it was okay.

"Of course I was worried about you," she muttered turning her head slightly away as a small blush slunk up her neck.

She looked back up, unusre whether it had disappeared or not, as he pulled Mrs. Hallow over to their group. "So the sheriff was last seen here? Well did anyone actually see him get killed?" she questioned. Sicilia nodded in agreement to Larghetto. Rooster and Marius seemed exceedingly shady, and that Mr. Jones person they were dragging -- Wait where was he?

"Um, where's the other guy that you guys had been dragging?" she asked.

Carlos walked to where Mr. Jones was lifting rocks and trying to make himself unseen by the others.

"What are you doing you dirty pero. The Rooster did not tell you to lift those rocks."

Carlos grabbed Mr. Jones by the shoulder and pulled him straight up.

"Lead us on or else."

Jean was happy to see Sicilia just because she was a friendly face and female to boot.

"My husband, or what I thought was my husband WAS in the jail."

Jean shook her head, "But there is no way that thing in the jail was my husband. No way."

Jean choked back tears, "No one that I know of saw Clay die in here. But this seems to be the last place anyone saw him before he started acting a bit strange. "

"I would so love to hug him again. Do you think he could be alive Sicilia?"

"I dont even know what I'm leading you all toward I just wanna see my wife" Mr. Jones said his face turned red. Mr. Jones had just made a terrible mistake. He knew that without the voices guiding him this would happen.

"Stupid stupid stupid" Mr. Jones said under his breath. Mr. Jones glanced at the ground. His face turned a deathly pale and as he heard the voices again. Mr. Jones scrambled to the ground and continued lifting rocks frantically.

Sicilia bit her lip in thought. No one saw him die?.

"Yes, Ms. Hallow. I do believe your husband could still be alive. I mean we do live in Clauden after all. Maybe he was sucked through some crazy wormhole or something insane like that," she shrugged trying to make Jean feel better.

Jean sniffed trying to recompose herself. After all, this was her chance to find her husband and maybe get her life back to normal.

Jean peered into the darkness, Then, off the light of someone's torch, she saw something.

It was brown and singed looking. Jean walked to the object and picked it up.

She fell to her knees, it was Clay's boot.

"Oh no, no, no," Jean sobbed. "Clay would have never gone anywhere without his boot."

Jean decided that she would not be leaving the mine ever. She bolted into a different mine shaft with no lights whatsoever.

Carlos was too enraged with Mr. Jones to even care what the woman Jean was doing.

"Did you not hear the Rooster," Carlos said taking his knife out once again.

Carlos eyes were flames as he approached Mr. Jones. His body was overcome with hatred, the same hatred he felt for the Mexican general.

His hands moved like lightning and the long thin blade whistled through the air and slashed across the back of Mr. Jones.

"You should have listened to the Rooster, Now Gringo, I slice you into strips of bacon."

Eva caught up with the others in time to see Carlos on the attack with his blade.
"Hey, contain yourself!" she said, tackling him from behind. "What's wrong with you? I leave you alone for five seconds and you lose yourself to rage. Are you okay over there?"

"Mrs. Hallow!" Sicilia called out as Jean fled the scene, "Mrs. Hallow, come back!" She made to follow Jean but thought better of it. She couldn't chase her down. Not alone.

"AHHHH" Mr. Jones screamed as the blade sliced into his back. Mr. Jones fell to his knees and his hands reached forward grabbing the mine ground. His face was in a look of disbelief. As he felt the pain continue to sting in his back.

"I can do this...honey I can do this..." Mr. Jones whispered under his breath. Mr. Jones kept staring at the floor of this mine. Mr. Jones felt everything go numb the pain almost seemed to disappear. Mr. Jones smiled and tears of joy fell down his face again. The voices were making sure he diddnt feel any pain again. They kept their promise and that's when Mr. Jones knew he would have wife back.

Larghetto entangled his hands in his hair with frustration. He shuddered as he suffered from a brief flashback to the last time he and Jean were in a situation of peril.
Watching Sicilia, he said,
"Here, 'Cilai, you stay with Jamesy. I'll go after her. I told her I would protect her. I'll be back soon, okay?"
He grinned reassuringly and ran off into the darkened shaft without waiting for a response.
"Mrs. Hallow? Where are you going?"
