Fermata hesitated. She slid an envelope that contained the photo of the vampire and of possible ghosts in the cemetery beneath Hellister's door.
"I feel something strange as well... What is happening, spirit?" she said, "I do not wish to return to my house if Larghetto is not there."

"Alas, I doth not possess that information, mademoiselle. Thy brother is at the jail. Doth thou wisheth to go there?" Perrin asked, "If thee wishes, I shall accompany thee, child."

"Yes, I do... but Gohby Tween is there too. He probably does not wish to see me right now," Fermata said with a sigh. "Spirit, by any chance do you know Draegan Locke? He is a friend of my brothers. Do you know where he lives?"

"Aye... allow me to show thee," Perrin emerged from his hiding spot and approached Fermata. He looked out into the neighborhood and eventually pointed to a house.
"That one, I believe, dear child. I saw him departing that house quite some time ago. It should be a safe distance to walk alone. For now, farewell, Fermata."
He took his leave by quitting in a random direction.

"Be careful..." Fermata said quietly as she watched him dissapear out of sight, then went off in the direction pointed out.

Hellister regained conciousness and found himself back in his own home. His head was groggy and it took some time for him to remeber what had happened. He wished Fermata was here to talk to. His sister was gone now forever, she was no longer his sister but now the daughter of a vampire. Then he remebered the pictures.

"Yes, my pictures, Fermata must have them developed by now. How strange to think our first photograph would be the mother of my sister. How funny that sounds, the mother of my sister," Hellister said to himself.

Hellister got wind of the town dance from a boy walking near his home. He usually didn't go to these kind of things but this time he thought it would be fun to get away from the troubles for a brief bit. He decide to leave his home and look for a date.

Francesca walked up to the house. She was accompanied by a taller, pretty yet sickly looking woman in her mid twenties who bared some of Francesca's characteristics and was dressed in several layers of clothing.
The two knocked on the door.

Hellister opened the door. His arm was bandaged but mnding well. Hellister was sipping a warm cup of cough supressent and bone mending tea. He was smoking a hand rolled cigarrette of rosemary.

"Well good day cousin," Hellister said with a smile to Franscesca. "I see you brought company. I'll go set the tea, and to smoke?....."

"Neither of us smoke..." Francesca said confusedly, tilting her head.

The other glanced down at Francesca, then looked at Hellister.
"Yes, well... I don't know if you remember me, for the times we have met were long ago and very brief because of my condition. So I shall reintroduce myself," she held out a gloved hand to shake. "I'm Lavender, Francesca's sister."

"Lavender, yes I remember you. But you have really always been just a name to me," a hot pot of lavender tea began to whistle on the stove.

"Come sit down the tea is done," Hellister poured the tea. He went into the back room for a moment and wheeled out Karry from a homemade wheelchair. Karry sat staring blankly.

"What can I do for you? I doubt either would have vistited unless you wanted something."

The two took a seat on the couch.
Francesca's eyes widened when she saw Karry.

"Is that Mariette? She looks dead," she remarked nonchalantly.

"That's not nice, Francesca. Don't be rude," Lavender said, glaring at her sister. She looked at Hellister and folded her hands in her lap.
"I heard you know some things about spirits... I have reason to believe that my mother and I are being haunted by the ghost of my twin sister."

Hellister looks over at Karry. "Yes that was Mariette. I re-named her Karry though after her transformation," Hellister continues not explaining what he means.

"I know a thing or two about spirits and channeling. I know a special mushroom that whe ingested the trained can spak to and sometime summon the dead. These mushrooms are scarce though. They grow in caverns and are difficult to harvest."

"I heard about that accident with your sister when it occurred. Please accept my sympathies. It seems both our families have had their tragedies," Lavender said softly.
"Are there any caverns in Clauden? I don't know if I could harvest any myself, if it is as difficult as you say..."

"Oh! Can we have a seance?" Francesca blurted excitedly. "Seances are fun!"
