After what seemed like days, Miakoda had finally realized that Jean had called for her.
"I'm here, Jean," she said quickly, stepping out of her room. "What should I do? Do I need to call for a doctor?"

"What!? You want me to do it?!" Miakoda said, gesturing to herself dramatically. She pushed her hair back over her shoulders.
"That wasn't part of the agreement. Heck, I've never even seen a baby delivered! I could put you in danger, or something. Travis? Are you in here, Travis? Someone needs to go find a doctor and bring him back here, quick!"

((OOC: Cyril's a doctor! He's tending to Armond at the fruit stand. cheesy))

The mail carrier was heaving around an especially heavy sack. It was filled with several books of the same title.

The book read,

"Go Be Somebody. How to get out be-Tween a rock and a hard place."

It was Ghoby Tween's new self help book published by Penguin books Now, thanks to the hospitality of Gohby Tween, it is yours.

Gohby sent off several copies of his new book free to special people. Inside was a message scrawled in Ghoby's writing.

"Dear special friend,

This book can help you get on the right path. I will soon be renting an auditorium space for my free book signing and seminar. Please mail me a letter if you will be in attendance. Free food will be provided! Please forward that letter to Isril's masnion, where I will now be residing."

Also inside the book was a one dollar bill. Gohby had become rich by selling his book in the other county.

As if stage-directed, Cyril came to a screeching halt on the Hallows' porch, with Travis on his shoulders. He knocked on the door. "Sheriff, sir? Your son said your wife needed a doctor..."

Jean saw that the doctor was in the house. She was lying on the bed with a sheet over her. All of a sudden their was crying under the blanket.

(Get the baby Cyril. Slap it on the back so it can get oxygen. hurry Cyril do it. Just do it, all the cool kids are delivering babies.)

Cyril hurried over to the bed on which Jean was lying, picked up the baby, and slapped it on the back (not as hard as he would slap, say, Draegan, but hard enough). The baby started crying louder almost immediately. He retrieved a blanket in which to wrap the baby, and handed Jean her son. "Congratulations, Mrs. Hallow," Cyril said, pulling his hood back from his face and smiling. "It's a boy. What would you like to name him?"

Miakoda put her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow. She hadn't expected it to be that simple.
"Wow, congratulations," she echoed quietly.

Jean smiled at her baby, and then at Miakoda and Cyril.

"Oh thank you both for delivering my darling child."

Jean's new son eyes were wide oepn now and he had stopped crying. It stared straight ahead at Cyril. Then it mase a funny sound while looking at him.

"ddddaa-daaaaa," It said and then began crying again.

"Did my newborn son just say dad?" Jean said looking at Miakoda. "Oh my, maybe I shouldn't have had Cyril as the first man my new baby saw."

((OOC: Let's pretend he cut the umbilical cord, because I'm too darn lazy to edit my post.))

Cyril managed to keep his composure long enough to hand the baby to Jean, then, apparently, had a spaz attack. "I am so sorry, Mrs. Hallow... you have no idea..." he was pacing and blushing, and it was hard to tell which one he was doing more. He pulled his hood back on out of embarrassment. "The good news is, your child is a prodigy... I've never heard a child speak on its first day of life... oh, dear. I'm sorry... not that your child is smart, but... well, at least he didn't say 'mama'..." He was drowning himself in words.

Miakoda laughed.
"It could be nothing, you know. He hasn't heard the word 'da-da' to be able to relate it to something," she said, smiling. "Or maybe it's a miracle and he really does know what he's saying, and some day, in the future he will see Cyril and be completely confused."

Jean listened to both Cyril and Miakoda's assessment of the baby. She liked Cyril's better.

"No Cyril is right! I have a prodigy! Oh this is wonderful! A prodigy is someone who is really smart right?"

Jean looked at Cyril questioningly.
