Miakoda had dug through her magician possessions and thrown together a costume from the old outfits that she, Cornelius and Darius used to wear.
She got dressed and emerged wearing a heavy red cloak over a knee-length black dress. It had an attached petticoat so that the skirt portion poofed out. She also had a glitzy silver masquerade mask that covered half of her face. Miakoda had braided her hair away from her face for the occasion.
"'Kay, I'm ready."

Travis got tired of waiting for Cyril to dress up.

"We are missing all the candy," Travis said, "come on."

Travis yanked his pals out for trick or treatin. He had a bag full of soap, tp, dog poop, and other stuff for those who didn't give him nothing.

((OOC: If no one else will do it, I will.))

Later; much later...

Cyril arrived back at the Hallows' house with Miakoda and Travis in tow. He looked rather the worse for wear; the hem of his cloak was ruined due to Travis having pulled him over it repeatedly in his haste for candy, and his hair was a wreck. Now I know why I never wanted kids. "We're back!" He smiled at Jean in a way that was more apologetic than happy.

Draegan barreled toward the Hallow residence equidistant from a fury, a tizzy, and a dead faint. He had all intention of knocking on the door, but it was open, and instead he nearly tripped over Travis. "Cyril!" he screeched. "Mrs. Hallow, do you mind if I borrow him? It's urgent."

Jean was happy to see that her family had come back home safely. Notice in jeans thoughts I used the word "family." That means Jean now considers Miakoda and Cyril family, see how this is becoming the wierdest post ever? Anyway, if they are family they can never leave Jean's home.

Jean then was about to retire to a nap when Dragean came in.

"UMM hello Dragean. Aren't you the new sheriif? "

Jean got up and picked up a glass of water from the kitchen and handed it to Dragean.

"Well Cyril has kind of decide to provide me with security because a man named Albert wants to kill me. So, No, You can't borrow him. Thanks for asking though."

Draegan accepted the glass, while clenching and unclenching his other hand to keep from punching the woman. Yes, ma'am, you've officially invited a vampire into your house, to stay. Smooth. The transvestite took a deep breath and looked down at the badge he had pinned to his corset. Then he realized he wasn't in New York anymore.
"Frankly, Mrs. Hallow," he said, one corner of his mouth turned up in a smirk, "I don't give a damn." He drained the glass of water and handed it back to her. "Thank you for your hospitality nonetheless." He grabbed Cyril's wrist and quickly spirited him away behind the house.
"Cyril," he said quietly, his expression turned from arrogant to beseeching. "Roland is dead. He was also a werewolf, but that's beside the point, which is that Marius and this other guy, Razo, aren't giving me a straight answer about who killed him. Undoubtedly they were fighting over the badge before I got there, but..." he trailed away in his explanation. "Help. Diplomacy is not my strong point, especially when it involves people I don't like. I mean, it would be disastrous if you were sheriff, but, if you could help me straighten this out, and..."

Cyril hastily extracted his wrist from the other man's iron grip and rubbed it, feigning injury. "I know, I know. Your people skills certainly aren't the best, as you so kindly demonstrated a few seconds ago. However, that's the least of your problems right now. The most is, you need to go home and change into something a little bit more..." he paused, as if searching for the right word, "...commanding. Right now, you look like you should be wielding a cat-o'-nine-tails instead of a gun. Then, go out and ask people about Razo and Marius. I'll have a look a the newcomer myself when I can."

Jean bolted to her doorway after Dragean and Cyril, "Wait," she hollered after Dragean, "you can't just come in here and steal away my hired help."

Jean pulled at the roots of her hair. "Come back! if i get killed by Albert my blood will be on your hands Dragean!"

Jean sat in the doorway and began crying.

Draegan rolled his eyes, listening to the commotion at the front of the house. "Is she always such a blubbering twit," he asked quietly, "or is it just because of Albert? Don't answer that... if it's Albert, slap him for me. I'll go change, and interrogate people. 'Evening!" He disappeared around the side of the house, headed back toward his own abode. He turned back toward the Hallow residence as an afterthought. "'Evening, Mrs. Hallow! Thanks for letting me borrow Cyril!" Before she was able to respondóplease!óDraegan was out of earshot, running full tilt toward his house.

Cyril walked back around to the front of the house. Draegan's such a willful person, he thought. Also, I'm kinda hungry... I wish he'd stayed around. "It's alright, Mrs. Hallow," he said, deadpan, as he came into view of the doorway. "He only needed to talk with me. You won't be left unprotected." Until tonight.

"Oh, that is wonderful. I'll go make you a cake to celebrate. You mustn't get the idea in your head to leave me here alone without no men folk around."

Jean wiped her eyes, to remove the tear remanents, with a cloth.

"I'm not sure when Clay will be back. He has gone far to find work I suppose. When Clay comes back you may leave I guess."

Jean walked to her house with Belle and Wesley. When she got there it didn't appear that Cyril or Miakoda were there.

She opened the door for Wesley and Belle and motioned for them to go inside.

Jean took Cole and put it him on Belle's lap. She didn't want to give her son to Wesley because he seemed kind of weird.
Cole put Belle's hair in his mouth and gummed it.

"Well the buns are done," jean said giving everyone coffee and buns.

Jean talked to both Belle and Wesley, "a strange man came the other day and threatened me and my family. It scared me so."

Jean's dog Goop sat by Wesley begging for food.

"After we are done eating, can somebody help me kill some rats that are living in the cellar? A bunch of rats moved in for the winter and I want them out. They could eat my baby you know!"

"Thank you. What man?" asked Wesley, relieved that Jean had not given Cole to him. He rubbed Goop on the head and took a sip of his coffee.

"I don't believe rats eat babies, but they do sometimes carry disease? Do you have any traps, Mrs. Hallow? That may be the easier way to go about things."

Belle walked into the house and before she could sit down, Jean had given her Cole. There he grapped her hair and gummed it. Belle laughed and grapped her hair back and gave Cole her finger to gum on. Belle, with her finer she let Cole gum on that for a little while. From the corner of her eye, she saw the dog formally named as Goop. She smiled and put her free hand down so she could pat Goop.

He walked over and sniffed her, then he started to growl, because he could see that Belle was different from the rest of the family. The wolf growled back at Goop.

Belle then gave back Cole to Jean and took her coffee. " Sorry Jean, he was strugglering" Then she heard about rats in the cellar, she looked to Mrs Hallow then to Wesley. " Traps? You dont need traps?" She laughed and wondered if they would catch on. Belle probarly catch those rats without using traps, she was a hunter after all. She looked around and ask. " Wheres the cellar then Mrs Hallow?" Her son Travis knew of her difference but wondered if they did.
