"My name's Raven, and your on the Fae ranch." She moved to the kettle and watched the steam rise from it.

"Fair warning, I dont know how much longer I'll be here, I..might be getting arrested and hung for something I didn't do." She laughed sheepishly and turned around, rubbing the back of her head. "So ya, earning your keep, means if I get arrested, you care for my horses until well...someone contacts my family or..something."

The woman poured some water into a cup, and stirred it, moving a tea bag around for a few moments before she dropped the bag into a small garbage bin.

Sitting next to him, she handed him the tea.

"Drink," She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees as she folded her hands together.

"Someone has been killing cows around here, and there was rumor that it was for some kind of witch craft. A couple nights ago, the same person, spread the organs from another cow, to three peoples houses in order to frame them.

I was one of said framed individuals. The mans name was Jed, he went missing..." She sighed, crossing her arms, "and hasn't been found yet. If he isn't found, and he doesn't tell the Sherrif what happened...I'm as good as dead. No one believes a woman, let alone one who has been called a witch."

He took the tea and zipped from it. "Well, I've seen some weird stuff and I'm pretty sure you're not a witch."

He drank some more of the hot tea with a slight smile on his libs. "But if something do happens, I'll look out for your horses, well... Horses don't like me much but, I'll make sure they're fed and safe."

"Quintin Crome was my given name, though I'm not sure I deserve that name anymore." He said and shrugged.

"You are deserving of the name you chose," she replied softly, "if you are the person at heart, you were when you got that name, then you have no reason to doubt it, even if outside, things are different." She smiled at him.

"Are you hungry?"

"mmhm, I suppose" He said. He didn't find himself worthy of his life nor his name, yet he was still alive. "Don't worry Raven, you won't get hung." One more sin couldn't make things worse than they already were...

She smiled as she stood, and scoured the house for some food.

"I hope that's true darlin, I really do. I happen to like living." She stood, holding up two large slices of bread, and her face contorted with slight annoyance.

"I suppose I ought to go shopping..." she turned, and handed him the bread and brushed back her hair, before she placed her hat on her head.

"When I get back, I'll need to change the bandages around your chest there. You rest, try not to move to much. Anything special you want?"

He took the bread and smiled. "hmm, there is one thing" He said and stared into thin air, thinking for a short while. "I need to know if Deputy Gerard Crome is alright..."

A part of him was hoping he was gone, yet it was his brother, or maybe he just wanted to know. He definetly didn't want to meet him any time soon...

Raven nodded, "I'll ask about. See ya in a few." She waved, and exited out the door, opting this time, to simply walk to town.

Quintin lay in bed for about 30 minutes after Raven left, but in the end it was more painful just laying about doing nothing.

Besides, he was already feeling better, generally because of werewolves endurance and healing traits. Though he still wasn't in the best condition and he would be better off in bed he got up and put on some clothes Raven apparently had lay out for him.

He sat on the edge of the bed staring at the picture if his deseased family in his locket, before he got up and found his way outside.

He went to the barn and started cleaning the horses booths one by one, giving them fresh water and hay. Eventhough he felt their uneasiness, probably because of his wolf scent, he wanted to help out Raven. It took him several hours before he was done and Raven still wasn't back...

~

When she returned home, she had two boxes, stacked upon each other in her arms. She moved over to her pantry door and set them down, making sure to set the steaks on the counter near it before she put everything away.

She pulled out some potato's and carrots, and chopped everything up before dropping it all into a pot full of water.

She set it on the stove, then headed outside, figuring he had probably gotten up to move around. Just sitting there, tended to be boring...

She smiled at the site of him brushing down one of the newer colts and walked up, resting a hand on his shoulder.

"Anything happen while I was gone?"

"Managed to clean their booths..." He slowly said, obviously worn out from his wounds and all the work. "How was your visit to town?"

She shrugged, motioning for him to follow her back inside the house.

"It was harder to find the things I wanted, but over all, good. I'm probably gonna take Dan and Mindy, a couple drafts, over to the Tavern later on, to help clear away the debrie from whatever happened."

She pushed open the front door and walked in, heading for the stove to check on dinner.
