Cyril arrived at Draegan's doorstep, the silhouette of the burning mansion lighting his back, and his friend's weak form in his arms. He kicked the door open, stepped inside, and set Draegan down on his bed. He ran his hand through Draegan's disheveled, charred hair, took off his cape, and lay it over Draegan, sitting down next to him.

Sorry I'm late; there was a fight at the candy shop. I gave two suckers a licking they'll never forget.

Draegan flinched as the cape touched him. "Cyril..." he croaked, "...aren't you... going to... bind my arm?" Draegan managed a weak smile; his face wasn't singed as severely as the rest of his body.

Cyril rolled his eyes. Even in severe pain, Draegan was still Draegan. "Odd. With the way you 'devote yourself to your work', one would think you'd like to be left here to bleed." Cyril flung the cape away and tore a few long strips from Draegan's dress (ignoring the groans from his partner; it was ruined anyway). "Close your eyes," Cyril said calmly.

"I hate the way you say that," Draegan said softly, closing his eyes.

Cyril kept his left hand free as he gently repositioned Draegan's arm closer to him, then attempted to set the bone correctly.

Draegan screamed in agony as the broken bones in his arm shifted positions, then tried to grit his teeth against the pain.

Cyril intercepted Draegan's jaw with the side of his hand, wincing as Draegan bit down. "Can't let you ruin those teeth..."

Draegan let go of his grip on Cyril's hand, and whipped his head over the side of the bed, spitting blood onto the floor. "Cyril!" he spluttered, completely ignoring the sharp pain in his arm. "You know how dangerous it would be... to the both of us... if I were to drink any of your blood."

Cyril hastily bound Draegan's arm and bent it into a practical position, tying a sling around his neck. "I'm sorry..." he said, focusedly, "but it did take your mind off the pain." Cyril got up and stood at the head of Draegan's bed.

Draegan craned his neck to see Cyril's face. "You could have... cleaned it up better..." he said, grinning.

Fermata knocked on Draegan's door slowly.
She didn't know him well, but she did know that he had been injured pretty badly and she wanted to see if he was okay
Hopefully he didn't mind a visitor too much.

Cyril had bent down to lick some of the blood away from Draegan's arm, but snapped to attention upon hearing the timid knock at the door. He wiped his mouth on his sleeve hastily and walked to the door, opening it slowly. "Fermata?" Cyril said, not sure if he remembered her name correctly. "Are you alright? What do you need?"

"Hi, messieur," Fermata said warily, glancing up at Cyril. "I just was wondering if Messieur Locke was doing okay. I know he had an injury and I have not seen him for awhile. I know that Larghetto was wondering too. If, uh, this is a bad time, I can go..."
She took a few cautious steps backwards, not liking the atmosphere around the house at the moment.

Cyril smiled. "Not at all. Come in, if you want to see him... he's broken his right arm and burned himself a bit, but he'll be fine. He's left-handed anyway, so he'll be back in working order in a week or so." Regardless how optimistic his words were, Cyril sounded slightly worried.

"Are you sure? Alright," Fermata replied. She stepped inside and had to look around for a few seconds until she saw Draegan on a bed. It hardly seemed big enough for him. She wondered if it was really comfortable to lay like that.
"Hello, messieur. I am sorry for your injury. Larghetto told me to send his condolences also."
