Hellister was frustrated by Larghetto's lack of commitment to the project. How could he do this alone?

"You bad little boy," Hellister shouted from the cow's mouth. "Go home then. I will have to do this myself."

Hellister walked towards the house, the cow appeared to have a paralyzed back side and drug on the ground as no one was there to operate the back side.

The cow was heavy and difficult for Hellister to move by himself. His supernatural strenght helped him.

The cow corpse neared one of the windows. Hellister opened the mouth wide to see if he could hear conversation inside.

Marius fell backwards hitting his on the cold floor. Marius looked at his hand that still stung and gritted his teeth. He looked at Wade and just simply sighed.

"What do you want me to do" Marius said weakly. He felt the back of his head ring in pain from falling. However Marius just knew his time would be wasted whithering in pain. Nigel whithered in pain and Marius was sure. They weren't much alike.

Hellister immediately recognized Marius' voice.

"Well I wouldn't have guessed this," Hellister said. "It seems that Wade has caught Marius and is now in the process of converting him to some sort of indentured servant."

"He must know that the beast in the mines is out for his head. Marius evidenty will be used as a pawn much as I am being used as a pawn in this battle. "

Hellister slid from the cow hide and it slumped at once to the ground.

"Lets add some flames to this cold war and see exactly what we are up against."

Hellister gathered kindle and various pieces of juniper. He lined them around the house and then lit the piles of timber. He ran to where Larghetto was hiding.

"I have smoked out the bees Larghetto."

Hellister grabbed Larghetto and ran a bit farther out. The flames were began to take hold of the frame of the house.

"Now let us watch what comes out of the hive."

Wade could smell the fires, however thought nothing of it. Brush fires were not particularly uncommon, and as his house was built of brick he saw no reason to concern himself.

Wade stood back up and grabbed two objects out from his desk. One looked akin to a modern day soda can with a small ring on it, and the other was a set of four small metal studs.

He passed the can to Marius, "Take this. If the person I expect is after you actually does come after you, you'll need it. It may not kill him, but it will buy you time to escape. It creates a huge flash of actual light, UV rays an all. It also filled the area around it with the burnt up silver it uses to create the flash. It should only give you a cough at best. Just pull the ring and count to five, you'll only get one shot with it."

Wade waits from Marius to accept the item.

Hellister waited for the house to incinerate. Then he waited some more. When he didn't see the large flames like he had expected he went to investigate.

Hellister just then noticed tha the home was not made out of wood, but instead solid brick. Perhaps he could cook them in there like an oven but it would take hours for the fire to get that hot and then he would have to continuously go back and forth to resupply it with fuel.

Hellister instead grabbed one of the piece of wood that was burning, a large piece of juniper.

He scaled the brick house until he was on the roof. Then Hellister left the piece of wood on the roof and went back down to retreive the cow hide.

When he was back on the roof with both the cow hide and the burning log, Hellister dropped the log down the chimney and then with the hide proceeded to plug the chimney.

Hellister leaped off the roof to find Larghetto.

Marius smiled at Wade. He fixed his hair quickly as the usual arrogance that Marius had began to reappear.

"So this ring is our only chance at stopping the Baptist?" Marius said calmly as he moved hands through his hair. In some vain attempt at looking a little presentable when he left.

"Wait...what? Baptist? No."

Wade raced after Marius when he heard this.

"No! Do not try to take out Albert with this. Trust me, this will just make him mad. But the person after me, possibly you by proximity, on the other hand should be made blind, or dead. Just...go get your little friends and uh...be quick about it."

Wade had a sinking feeling in his gut, he quickly began to feel out the area for electronic pulses, as is normal for when he gets nervous. However, what he felt did not make him feel any better.

Marius put on the ring that Wade had given him. His eyes lit up as he realized the kind of position he was now in.

"I want awnsers now or you'll be blind or dead...my friend" Marius said smirking as he spoke. Marius put his hand on the ring finger that held Wade's super amazing ring. He wouldnt fear pulling the ring off on the man who had just kidnapped him against his will.

Wade sighed and shook his head in disappointment.

"You assume I would give you something that would put my life in danger? Puh-leeze! It will have these effects on him because he is, for lack of better classification, vampiric. By all means use it, but know that by doing so only three things will happen. First, you will lose the best of your defenses against the man who that was intended to be used again. Second, you will assume a greatly weakened posture the next time you confront Albert. Lastly, and this one's the real kicker, I will be forced to kill you. Understand now?"

"You got me...checkmate" Marius said as he threw his hands up in the air like he was being arrested. Marius was surprised Wade was prepared for such a attack. He couldnt help but smile afterwards though. Wade was smarter then he thought.

"Since you've proven your intelligence how do I know your on my side? how do I know this isnt a trap why do you even want to kill the Baptist" Marius said a huge grin forming on his face. For the first time in a while Marius had a real challenge. It was almost as if Roland was alive again. Then again Roland just cost Marius a hand.

Wade raised a hand to his head as if fighting back a headache, he was quickly becoming more and more annoyed with this vigilante force.

"I'm doing this because Albert told me to, and to everything else - there's no real way for you to know and even if you did it wouldn't mater because as it stands your most logical plan of action would be to go along with my plan. Which, I might add, is now far behind schedule. So, if you please, go now and get whoever you need in your little motley crew to help me with Albert. I have other matters that involve subjects of a completely different nature that are of just as much importance and are now equally behind schedule. Considering I have you that new hand of yours, I'm somewhat offended you don't trust me more. So, again, go."

"Take care" Marius said coldly as he stood up. He was careful to walk quickly out the door of the house. He wasnt sure what to make of this Wade character. Until Marius got a motive he was a possible threat.

Hellister by this time had found Larghetto. It seemed that his plan to smoke out the inhabitants of the house had failed.

"Larghetto, I dropped some buring timber down the chimney and then plugged the home with the cow hide. None of this seemed to work. Wade has Marius in there, I know it is Marius as my ears are keened to his voice and my nostrils can smell him from a distance."

"Larghetto I if you can intercept Marius when he exits the house perhaps he can be of use to us. "

"I am planning on leaving here as there seems to be nothing I can do at the moment to break the fortified-type nature of this house. I need some heavy force, I need Dellister."

Hellister started walking away. "Dellister is in the graveyard, I know this because he is a part of me. When you find Marius bring him to the graveyard if you can."

Wade gave a sigh and began to rummage through his things, collecting them in a duffel bag. Once he had gathered all he felt he would need he left his house and instantly felt the presence of another person where he tracked Hellister to. He changed his path to a direct B line towards Larghetto, quickly closing in on the immobile man.

"You have an - interesting choice of friends. I'd like to talk to you about them," Wade spoke with and easy going tone, however his breathing seemed oddly heavy, which gave him a slower pace to his speech. Even with his duffel bag over his shoulder, the short walk seemed to make him notably more winded than it should have.

Larghetto had simply been wandering outside, hands in his pockets, getting bored and thinking about taking off. He listened to Hellister say something about Marius and then watched him walk away. When he turned, he saw Wade.
"We're not exactly what I'd call friends anymore, I'm sorry to say," he said with a shrug. "I didn't really want to come here. Sorry about the fire."
