Polgara’s wings wrapped round her when she herd the sound of wood rubbing on the slate of the roof. She closed her eyes and laded on the roof listening to the world around her. Over a time she started to feel a drifting as if her body was moving away from her but she knew she was simply falling asleep, she slowly opened her eyes and found that she was sitting in a meadow and the moon was still out but as before it wasn‘t casting much light on the world around her. She the stood up her feet where ear and her jeans hanged low on her hips, she was dressed simply and her jeans fell over the tops of her feel and tucked under her heel as she walked deeper into the meadow. One in the middle she sat down crossing her legs and closed her eyes, the area was quite the forest surrounding it seemed to be deep and thick. To her it seemed that she had only closed her eyes for a brief moment but when she opened them again it was snowing, the world around her was still dark, she looked up into the sky the flow falling on her face and getting tangled in her hair, the sky was a deep dark grey colour that seemed to change all the time moving and shifting. She then slowly looked down to find that there was a black figure in front of her. A black female wolf looked at her with been green eyes, Polgara stared back at her, she simply watched the female wolf as it looked to her right and down the meadow. Polgara stood slowly and watched as the female ran off down the meadow, she followed also running, as she started to enter the forest the world around her changed it stopped snowing and it became lighter, everything started to become greens and browns instead of greys and blacks. She kept running avoiding trees with the grates of ease and jumping over fallen limbs also none of these seemed to slow her down. She then found that the forest was starting to thin out she kept running. When she came to the edge f the cliff she stopped and lent forwards on the balls of her feet and then back leaned back down on the flat of her feet. She looked down over the ocean in front of her the sun was cut in half by it she couldn’t tell if it was rising or falling it just seemed to be stuck court by the water of the sea. She then closed her eyes and basked in the warmth that it was giving off. She then opened her arms out wide and leaned forward again reading herself to jump off. She was almost about to take the leap but she was stopped by something she opened her eyes and looked over to her left and saw that there was a figure standing next to her. She then opened her eyes to see that her world had become a dark fluffy one of silk feeling feathers.

Belle looked up after hard thinking, She looked out of the window and saw that Spring had come. She quickly put her clothes on and walked to the window. When she was thinking she saw herself in the meadow where time stopped when she saw Arlen, Jericho and Pol. She opened her windows and let the cool spring breeze whistle through her hair and onto her face. She sighed, she then jumped on the nearby tree that was siturated outside her bedroom. The tree was old, but strong to carry her weight. She carried on looking up at the clouds, she then smiled to herself, she then let her wings come out, they creaked and cracked for being folded in her back for long time. She then flapped them, they made a dust whirl and some young leaves came off the tree. She then ran of the branch and was flying in the sky. She then layed on her back in the sky. She was happy, that she was flying again. She then flew back to the tree and landed in it. She then sat on the branch that she had ran off, Belle then sat down, she was going to stay in the tree for a little while. She felt at peace.

Polgara looked past her wings and found that it was day, a nice spring day in fact. She looked into the sky and saw that the sun was out trying to warm her face and the world around them. It was to bright for her she wasn’t used to it, the calmness of her dream as odd as it was still bothered her slightly whom was it that stood next to her? She then stood on up on the roof climbing down into her balcony and walking into her room her wings folded up behind her but never disappeared into her back. She walked over to her bathroom and striped down on the way leaving different items in a line as she did so. She turned on the shower water falling from the big round head like raindrops. She then stepped under it as the steam came up from the floor. She then looked up into the water as it fell down over her. She closed her eye for a moment and she was once again standing on a cliff top dressed in the same outfit. She was leaning over but she never seemed to fall, once again she felt that someone or something was stopping her, she looked to her left again and her feet touched the floor. She opened her eyes again to find that her wings had unfolded and seemed to have freaked out and where now at they’re fullest and filled the whole area of the shower. They where full and seemed to look darker than they where before. She turned off the shower and stepped out, she grabbed at one of the towels and wrapped it round her she walked into the bed room and got dressed pulling the crimson shirt but over her head she laid down on her bed, now the jeans comfortably covering her legs, she sighed to herself and closed her eyes once again. Falling back into the same landscape.

Voice: It is strange how the mind reflects so many things about ones personallity isn't it?

[The voice came from behind her, she knew it well...it was Arlen.]

Belle opened a lazy eye, she saw a black silloute quickly move back into the bedroom... Belle got up and just looked, she then saw it was nothing. Was just proparly a cat![/b[ she thought to herself. She then stetched and climbed down the tree. She then shouted to Leo or whoever was in the house! "[b] Going to town for a bit, be back later!! "

When she didnt hear a reply, she shrugged and started to walk into town

Polgara stepped back down onto the grass floor and looked to her left sure enough he stood there; she glared at him. “Why…” she let the faint breeze take her word from her and take it across the ocean below them. She didn’t feel the need to add anything more to the question. She had really asked him why was he here but she felt “Why” would have been enough. She stood on her tiptoes suddenly stretching her legs, feeling the earth below her. It was odd for her to be dreaming at all let alone of the man before her. When she normal slipped off she would find herself walking in the normal world… but it was different in many ways. She looked at him the glare falling from her brow after a time.

[Arlen looked at her confused]

Arlen: that is an odd question...you see you can't really ask me why I am here [he walks up infront of her and holds up a mirror showing her, her reflection.] You could ask her though, she might know, seeing that the person in the mirror is the reason why I am here.

She looked confused into the reflection of herself, she didn’t know why he was there she didn’t even know why she herself was there or what was going on. “I don’t know…” she looked around where she was, cliff top, ocean, sunset/rise and a forest. She didn’t get any of this at all she couldn’t see the connections between any of it at all, she then sat down crossing her legs she faced the sun it’s warm touch warming her, it felt odd to feel that feeling of warmth it calmed her slightly. “what and I surposted to do?” she asked not taking her eyes from the sun.

Arlen: Why do you ask? You know as well as I that I don't hold the answer to that. This is your dreamscape, the land inside youre dreams, it shapes after youre state of mind.
But you already knew this, or I wouldn't....I am not really Arlen, nor am I really here....I am your sunscontious memory of Arlen, how you see him, you brought me here....now the question is...why?

Polgara looked up at him, her eyes where a teal colour; “So… if I jumped off of this cliff you would act how I would want you to and not how the really Arlen would?…” she stood and walked to the edge and leaned forward again, but she was stopped again finding that something was holding her up away from the downfall. Looked to him over her shoulder “Why can’t I just…” she paused and looked down again her eyes taking on crimson colour round the edges “Fall” she said her voice very low and raspy full of a hidden emotion she couldn’t place.

Arlen: Is it more complicated than that.....you see you don't really decide anything. you're subconscious decides how I act accordingly to what you know about Arlen.....And why ya won't fall? [walks up and stands right behind her] This is one of those that you should already know....you can't fall.....because you already did.

[He walks up next to ehr and looked down]

Arlen:.....that down there is the abbyss....the straight path to hell. You were once schooled in these things when ya was an angel, that is how I know but you don't remember. As long as you are a Fallen you are being judged by both sides. You actions here on earth decide what road ya will walk. When judgment day comes you and all the rest of the fallens with be taken to judgment and dependign on what your actions have been you will assent or dessent.

Polgara looked down at that seemed to be a deep ocean below them, she listened to his words but still there was something in her that felt the need to jump. She stood back down on the flat of her feet, she looked to him, “there’s much I have forgotten and wish to keep that way… but alas it all seems to be coming back to me bit by bit, shard by shard” she looked to her right something coming back to her, a poem of sorts, What eternal hand of eye, what limitless imagination, could conceive the pangs of immortal life? An eternity of broken dreams. A place where once I died... And what divine-conceived design, could match a mortal life? A wry and rapt mortality. A life played out in sounds, of weeping, screaming sighs. And is this when the night comes down? The Shadow in us all, that ebbs and flows with ignorance, that tears asunder innocence, leaves only falling snow she oddly knew in that moment that it was about what he had just said to her. The falling snow was all that would be left of the world in the end, or that’s how she thought it would be. She turned and looked to him, a tear feel from her eye it was that of blood it was just on simple tear that fell to the side of her cheek and ran down it. She looked to the heavens, and sure enough it started to snow again. She then looked back at him a small smile came to her face; she then turned and walked towards the forest. Spinning suddenly she ran towards the cliff edge and jumped off the edge, her arms held out wide. As she fell she brought them round her and her wings opened covering her making it look like she was nothing more than a black ball falling towards the rocks below. They then opened and carried her back up and a faster speed than she had fallen, when she came to the top of the cliff she kept going a puff of feathers blew over Arlen as she went up high into the sky and stopped looking down at the forest below there was nothing but green to be seen for miles but the sky was white and the snow was starting to gather across the land again. She closed her eyes and left it gather on her skin making it cold again. she then opened then to find she was back in her room.

[Arlen smiled as her dreamscape image vanished in the skies]

Arlen: Nice try Polgara, but fortuanetly it wouldn't ahve worked one way or the other. you would have woken up before ya hit the rocks anyway.....as much as we all like to...we can only push ourselfs in the direction we favor...we can never really choose...that is up to the judgment counsel....

[he turns around and walks towards the forest and siapepars into the shadows.]

She sat upright and brought her knees to her chest leaning her head on them. She didn’t understand anything of what had just happened, the poem was stuck in her head a voice was calling the words to her from deep within her locked away memories. She slid off the bed, she walked out of her room leaving the door open slightly walking down the hall way on silent feet. As much as she had been sleeping her face was paler than normal and black rings where starting to form under and around her eyes. She came to the end of the hallway to the stares and the banisters; she lent over it and looked down at the floor below. Her eyes once again took on that crimson look but still held the teal colour that was in the dream; she vaulted up onto the banister and lent forward on the balls of her feet very much like she had in her dream. She seemed to be in a daze of sorts “And is this when the night comes down? The Shadow in us all, that ebbs and flows with ignorance, that tears asunder innocence, leaves only falling snow… but your not here…” she whispered softly and looked to her left to see if the same figure would be standing there.

Arlen: Boh!
