Polgara laughed then when she saw that he was in fact standing there right next to her on the landing of the stairs; but this laugh was not the soft one that he may have herd before, this laugh wasn’t a laugh at all really not in the core of it for it sounded more like that of a deranged lunatic than that of the laugher of a calm woman. She stood up tall on the banisters a mocking grin on her face, the laugh had now faded to a chuckle but it could still make the hairs on the back of a strong mortal mans neck stand striate. She then crouched down so she was eye level with him she looked him in the eye “boh back” she said to him in a somewhat hollow voice “if your here to tell me that I can’t fall until the end of days….” She leaned forward but one of her hands held onto the banister between her feet and legs “then ya a little late…” she said with a grin pulling at her face.

[Arlen Raised an eyebrow at her]

Arlen: You most of all look like someone who's about to fall into bed. Maybe you should get some sleep.

“Been there…. done that…. can’t ya tell?” she asked in a mocking kind of way, she wasn’t acting like her normal self and she didn’t have a clue why it was that she was acting like she was and she didn’t care for that matter. She lent further forward but still kept eye contact with Arlen, “you know what it feels like to fall from a grate high?” she asked him her voice sounding like there was two of her and had a hissing kind of sound to it. “Alisanitis” the S in his name was carried slightly as she tilted her head to the left and blinked her eye colour changing to a silvery colour.

Arlen: Arlen will do just fine, and yeah I can say I have [He walks over and sits down in a chair] You don't think that a mortal just becomes a Wraithknight from one day to another do you? We sacrifice most of what makes us human to be able to do the job we do, that is a plunge into the abyss that comes somewhat close to what it must have felt like when your halo broke.

She follows his movements with her eyes until he walks past her and takes up the seat next to the wall to her right. As he does so she runs quickly and changes from having her front to the drop to her back. She leans back her feet slowly moving round the banister her long black hair dangled away from her back and moved with the slight breeze that blew though from one of the windows. “Why have two names… your one or the other… Alisanitis or Arlen?” she then moved forward leaning over the floor making the space between them smaller slightly. Her eyes had a mirrored affect to them like they had a glaze over them, and her teeth had changed slightly she looked to be sporting some sharp looking fangs.

Arlen: I am not surprised that you do know understand this kind of thing, as an Angel you had never had to conseal somethign about yourself behind a facade and a name. I am Arlen, Alisanitis is the WraithKnight part of me. That part I am not allowed nor do I whish to show it to the general public. Havoc, panic and crusaes would ensure and I would be left with no choise....than to purge this place...which of I have no imitiat interest. Therefore Alisanitis will remain conseal untill he is needed.

“And when is a creature like that needed?” she asked leaning forward still, her feet where will on the banister as where her hands, she still held eye contacted with him but she was seeing the world differently now; red nearly everything was red but he was a mix of black and greys. She could feel his steady pulse, as she could feel Leos down the hall slightly. She licked her lower lip and tilted her head to the left again waiting on his reply.

Arlen: I turn into the creature from the void when I need to do a few things. either speak with my master. Fight.....or bring down the red pillar of judgment when a place need purging. But then again....I could ask the same question to you. Why doy ou change? You are a Haloless, why do you turn into a wolf, why doy uo conseal your wings? Or why do you take on the aspects of a Vampire like now? Do you even know?

“Purging…” she said in a whispered voice, “What gives you the right to see what is good and bad in this world… it was made on opposites you can’t go around trying to eradicate one in order to leave what is the best in your eyes. As for me” she said leaning right forwarded her body flat so she would be facing the floor “I was born this way” she said in a hushed voice that hadn’t changed. She twisted slightly so she was looking up at him she was really close to him now, she closed her eyes and listened to his heartbeat tapping her finger in time with it on the wood of the banister.

[Arlen laughted, but it wasn't a joyfull laughter, it was a laughter of utter disbelief.]

Arlen: Born that wayhuh oh please, who are you trying to fool? You were born an angel, and angel is that and no other thing. what you are now however allowes your being to take on properties from other beings and adapt to them. that way your judgment will be easier. And as for me....I find a place where corruption and imbalance has taken root...and I report my findings back to the Lords of my order. And it is by their command that I purge. I don't care about the beings swept away in the purging fire. Our actions are the pre steps to complete balance. Of course sometimes the purge is not nessecary, and the area can be driven back on the right course, that is the best scenario...unfortuanetly people are rarely incligned to listen, seeing themselves as if their were gods in mortals skin.....those I take a small ounch of joy in purging.

[His eyes had grown narrow and beneath his eyes an untamed fire burned. He was biting his little finger with a wisked smile crossing his lips.]

“What about before that?” she asked leaning away from him again and stepping down from the banister “what if I saw this way before I became an angel?” she asked him in a mocking way. In some ways he was right she was born an angel but something was different about her to her kin, prier knowledge, a being, something other to the others was there before she had became what it was that she was today. She was confused deep down of why she still became the different parts of her inner being. She was a manifestation of something bigger, part of her being wondered if she would ever live up to her full potential she had the power and the knowledge to be something better than a whimpering creature locked in the darkness of herself. She looked at Arlen, the smile playing upon his face when he spoke of purging fake gods; there was something about the man before that intrigued her he at times seemed so gentle almost but there was the other side of him that wasn’t, how could he hide it so well. If you had just met him you would have thought nothing of him just a simple man, but he was anything but “simple”. She stood in front of him looking down at him seated before her waiting for what he though about what she had asked him.

Leo heard Belle shout "Im going out for abit" before he could reply she had gone. Leo got up from his bed and wondered around his room. He then opened his door and poked his head around the doorway. He then closed his door. He closed the door and shut his eyes. The orbs filled the room and he had orbed out. He wasnt sure where he was going but he needed fresh air.

[Arlen looked up at her, and then sighed in a kind of "I give up" way. As She was not he wasn't really gonna be able to reason with her. she would just find some way of reformulating her words to counter his.]

Arlen: What before? There is no before, no reincarnation, no rebirth. you die, your body turns to dust and your soul goes either to heaven or hell. that's it. Angel are born excatly the same as humans, and your fates are no different. You may have been different than the other angels, but don't think that you were born this way. [He got up and looked her deep in the eyes] Normal Angels can't walk in the nether, those who can have been altered to be able to do so...you are no different.

[He walks past her in his ghostly way and heads towards the front door.]

Arlen: I will be back in the morning, maybe you will be more inclined to believe me in sunlight.

She follows his movements with her head, when he got to the bottom on the stairs she jumped over the banister and landing softly and quietly on the floor below. It seemed like she floated over to him when he got to the door. “Leaving so soon when you went to all the trouble of coming this far out?” she asked him her voice a whisper, “why did you come?” she then asked him her voice not changing in depth but it did seem to change in that her voice grew softer almost like she was starting to become her self again. She held a slightly confused look on her face, “I’m sure it wasn’t to lecture me on the beginning of angels” she moved like the breeze that floated in through the open windows around them, till she stood in front of him. The white shirt she was wearing seemed very thin as the moonlight shone through the window, it wasn’t much by it was enough to illuminate her pail skin beneath the soft fabric. She looked at him through now dark eyes the light only shining on her lips and lower, they still held that redness from before but it had dulled to that rusty red colour of dried blood. She watched him through those eyes trying to see what his next move would be. She then saw falling snow that was scattered around them both, purity, death, that’s what snow meant, it had always meant that she knew it before he had said to her in the dream that she was at the beginning of the end of us all, when it was a chosen fait of hell or heaven. She felt as though she was in hell with every wakening hour and every sleeping minuet. She blinked and the snow was gone he stood in front of her and she waited still, watching.

Arlen:[looking her directly in the eyes] I was bored [he move dover the to the front door] When you don't sleep more than 30 mintues in one week, you tend to get bored when others sleep. [he opened the door and looked outside at the stars above]I will leave soon, I recieved my order earlier to return to my masters side. The trial of jugment against the Vampire Lord will begin soon and I need to be there as I am a witness. It is doubtfull that I will retun again, My Lord will probably ship me off to a place where the purge is more needed. [he halfway turns and looks back at her] So know that from now on you are on your own, all of you. I will not be able to comver your tracks any longer. if you break cover in public, it will now have fatal consequences.

[He brushes his bowler off slightly, brushes his hair behind his ears and put it on, then smiles his normal warm smile at Polgara.]

Arlen: Goodnight M'lady

[He leaves closing the door behind him, but a wisper on the wind slides past her ear]

Wisper on the wind: Watch for the Bald child.
