(hmm... an empty room...

consider it aquired! heheh...)

Arashi walked into the tidy little room and smiled almost instantly.
"It's so cozy looking!" she thought, "very... suttle"
She walked up to the nearest bed and dropped her suitcase of clothes along with the cage which held Chigiri within it. She then removed the bookback which held some of her more delicate items inside it and also placed it on the bed.
"Well now," she remarked to Chigiri,"I hope they don't mind you being in here." she continued as she let chigiri out of the cage.
Chigiri hopped down from the inside of the cage and shook off a little, following up with a stretch and a breif yawn. She nuzzled Arashi's ankle softly as she began to also remove her jacket, who responded by reaching down and patting her gently on the head after peeling her leather jacket from her sweat stained skin.
"I smell awful, I wonder if they have a tub here. I hope so." she said to herself as she allowed herself to be licked by her fox.
"I'll be back in a bit to unpack, Chigiri, keep an eye on my things, and don't make a mess!"
Arashi then stood up abruptly, and continued on to the restroom.

Arashi returned to her room feeling rather refreshed and quite good about herself. This feeling was much better than the gloomy, tired, worn out one which she had upon entering the room the first time. She reached for her clothes for the day in her stuff as she began to unpack her things into the dressor and hid her personal items under the bed.
She stripped herself of the clothes she wore to make her way back through the tavern and into her room, and replaced them with a long dress. The dress was extremely light lavender, and the fabric was very thin. The appearence of it was graceful and cozy. She did her hair up neatly in a bun with a few straggling locks which she curled in waterfalls and tucked behind her ears.
Upon looking up she saw Chigiri, sleeping soundly on the second bed. Her face and front paws were hidden under the fluff of her long bushy tail which she had wrapped up in front of her. Arashi smiled at this and decided it was time for redemption. She finneshed un-packing and left the room quietly so as not to desturb the sleeping fox, to go find the church in town.

Meanwhile, as Arashi was gone (In the cemetery now), A messenger in search of her mysteriously appeared at the door of the tavern. He was dressed in that of a royal Japanese wardrobe. As he walked through the tavern, strangely, nobody seemed to notice his existence.

He walked rather stately as he made his way to Arashi’s room quietly. He got to her room and heard a growling noise on the other side of the door. He opened the door, for Arashi had left it unlocked on her haste to get to the church. He was met by Chigiri who, upon seeing him and smelling his boots, left him well alone. He reached down and pet the fox gently on her head.

The strange messenger then stood from his squatting position to a rather military, upright stance and reached into his pocket while murmuring “akahaji anohito imasen…”[[“Shame she(the said person) isn’t here…”]]

He removed from his pocket, an envelope addressed to a Mizu Yuudoku, Arashi Dai from one Inari. He walked to where Chigiri now lay, almost asleep on the extra bed once again, and told her to be sure her mistress got the letter. The messenger then placed the envelope on the dresser and just as quietly as he came, he left. Once again, his presence went unnoticed.

Arashi entered the tavern and went directly to her room. Upon opening the door, she cursed, "I forgot to ask if it was formal or semi-formal!"

"Oh well, I'll dress semi, you can't go wrong if your elegant either way there." She decided, opening her dresser drawer quickly. Chigiri leapt off the bed toward her, and nuzzled her ankle, "Not now, Chigiri, I'm doing something. I'll get you a snack and some cold water in a little bit." Arashi answered this gesture quickly.

But the fox was persistent, she jumped onto the dresser and knocked the envelope the stranger had delivered on top of the blouse Arashi was about to grab.
“huh?” Arashi picked up the envelope, “What’s this?”

She began to open it and decided there was no time, she had to get ready and leave.

She decided on a deep red dress she had worn to an opera once with one of the few men she had dared allow into her life. It was satin with a light layer of black see-through material overtop the skirt part. It was light, elegant, comfortable, but still slightly formal.

Arashi ran down to the main part of the tavern upon noticing she had no food or water. Quickly, she asked for a simple glass of water and some bread. Chigiri, who had followed her down, looked up at Arashi with hungry eyes.

“Chigiri!” She whispered loudly, “What are you doing? Go back to the room before you get us thrown out!”

But the fox stayed.

Arashi knelt down and asked, “What is it that you want, I’m willing to compromise. Do you want meat, is that it? Well I don’t have the money right now for that, so how about a small soup? Okay? There, you can get a simple little soup and I’ll bring you leftovers from the ball later, alright? Now get back to the room!” She said quickly and as the fox nuzzled her leg gently and turned to run off Arashi stood and made her order.

She then quickly returned to her room and threw some large curlers in her hair tips as she gave the fox her meal and began to change. She then put a small amount of makeup on and pulled the curlers out of her hair. She combed out her locks and grabbed a small purse with some cash on her way out.

Charles walked upstairs to the rooms with his key. He had only been in the town a day or two but he still needed a room. Getting the key was so easy, he asked the bartender to get him a fresh scotch and picked his pocket for the key. Being a con artist was his life and he was bloody brilliant.
"Ah here it is." he said as he opened the door to his room.
"Bloody nice room, perfect actually." he said in his british accent

Dionysus knocked the door down with one simple kick. Dionysus was used to kicking down doors. In fact when stayed in China busting up opium dealers. He should have changed his servitude to a job that involved door knocking down. Dionysus hurried into the room quickly and gently placed Eva into the bed. He almost wished he could smile as he looked down at Eva. He just let out a sigh of relief.

"Sleep tight I'll be waiting" Dionysus said kindly as he stood perfectly still waiting for Eva to quit sleeping.

Much later, Eva woke up. She could feel the sunlight from the window falling upon her face and an uncontrollable smile came to her face. She was out. It was over. Then the pain hit her again.
Eva opened her eyes and looked around the room, trying to remember what had happened. So he really had taken her back to town. But where was he now?
Eva saw Dionysus sitting in a chair. She found it odd, such an unusual looking statue sitting in a chair at a room in the tavern. Eva hadn't really looked at him before, and so she couldn't put two and two together. Instead, she just stared at the statue curiously, studying it.

Dionysus made a calming humming noise as he noticed Eva had woken up. He tried his hardest give her a friendly smile unfortunately he was still just a statue.

"Good morning friend how was your sleep I could not sleep kept thinking of poor Jones in the cold" Dionysus said his voice started out very cheerful. However towards the end the sorrow in his voice began to show.

Eva jumped a little. She would have sat up, but her condition forced her to remain in her position. She stared at Dionysus for a long, awkward moment. Then, suddenly, Eva broke out into uncontrollable giggles.
"Is it you? Are you what got me out of the mine?" she managed to say. "A statue? How silly! A statue saved my life! But stranger things have happened, I guess. I don't know what, right now." She rubbed her eyes, her hysterics fading away. "Jones? Where is he? Is he in the mine?"

"Mr. Jones is a good man....one day I met a fisherman who couldnt catch any fish and he wanted them all so I swam in his lake and caught them all and he said I had too much and that they would spoil and he shouted....people always want too much" Dionysus said his right hand began to shake in fear. He was scared for his friend. A man like Mr. Jones in his condition should not be out. He might get what he wanted. Dionysus's heart sunk as he imagined what would happen. It would be ruined.

Eva didn't understand the fisherman reference, so she chose to ignore it.
"Well, why don't you go to him, then?" she said. She again made the painstaking effort to sit up, but actually accomplished it this time.
"Here, help me up. Hell, that hurts pretty bad. I think I'll need a crutch."

"Heavens no I cant go to him I would have to fufill my duty" Dionysus said his voice sounded as if it was full of worry. Dionysus feared that he would lose Mr. Jones as a friend if he fufilled his promise. Mr. Jones would have no use for Dionysus once he got his wife back.

Dionysus stood up from the chair he was sitting on. He grabbed the leg of the chair and with great force ripped the chair of the leg off. He then gently placed the wooden leg onto Eva's soft hand.

"Perhaps a walking stick would be good...I once met a man who had no legs and I would always listen to him talk he said all he wanted to do was walk...he would cry and beg for that and I just stood there unable to do anything...Mr. Jones would like that man I think" Dionysus said his voice sounded very excited. In fact all night Dionysus was ready to go around the town with his newly found friend Eva.

"Thank you," Eva said, not insincerely. She stretched her arms a little, then shifted her legs over the side of the bed. It took her a few minutes, but soon she was up. She gritted her teeth. She would walk through the pain.
"Does Mr. Jones beg a lot?" she asked to preoccupy her mind. She wanted to find Marius but she didn't even know where to start. Eva rubbed her bottom lip. "I think we should go downstairs. If there's ever anyone who knows anything, it's usually someone in the tavern. Which I find a little depressing."

"Yes he does beg alot" Dionysus said without any hesistation. That's when Eva mentioned going downstairs and Dionysus felt alittle worried. He quickly began to pace in the room thinking about the possibilities of what could happen.

"What if he's there...no no no we cant it's too risky for him too risky for him to go there he might be" Dionysus said under his breath as he paced quickly through the room. Dionysus let out what sounded like a sigh and stopped to face Eva.

"How about we just relax alittle" Dionysus said calmly nodding at Eva as it would instantly make her agree.

"Why?" Eva said, a small smile creeping onto her lips. "There's really no time to lose. Listen, what if I just go down? Or... or... if you won't let me do that..." She looked around the room, squinting. Eva knew that a stone statue wouldn't have a problem holding her against her will. She would have to find a way to convince him.
"What if. Just, what if..." She hobbled over to the window and pushed it open. "I could go out the window, and look elsewhere."
