"Well I don't think I would have worn it again, the lace and colour were more suited to you then me," Emma answered regretfully.

Ray's whiskey arrived in front of her, she took a large sip before handing the glass to Ray.

"Just had to test it, sometimes they water down the whiskey in here," she explained .

Emma was starting to feel light headed, maybe that sip had been too large. Thoughts of dogs, babies, sacks and lacy gowns were swirling through her tipsy brain.

"whatever floats your boat buddy" Treize said sarcastically taking a sip of vodka. He placed it down and then stretched his arms out. "so how long have you lived here?" Treize asked curiously.

"Kuso baka," she breathed in Japanese as she listened to Emma and Ray's conversation. This guy sounded like a complete idiot.

Emma heard the girl next to her say something ,but the fuzz in her brain made the words sound foreign.

"Pardon, I didn't quite catch that," she said to Sakura.

Zackery glanced over to the one who was speaking to him. He coughed slightly, "Not for too long." he said simply. He stared at his water quietly. Zack thought it was funny that the other people were carrying on about some guy being an idiot.
Of course Zackery didn't laugh, or so much as crack a smile. He felt as if the decent side of him was dead.

"You?" Zackery asked, trying to be a bit more conversational than he normally would. Talking to people really wasn't his style, but if he had to crack out every now and then... there was no harm in that.

Ray drank the rest of the whiskey in one go.

"Ah... thanks Emma.", he said. It was then he realized she herself was getting tipsy. Great. As if sober Emma wasn't bad enough.

Sakura choked on her own drink as she listened to Emma and Ray. -Total lightweight,- she thought.

"We really need to find you a job Ray,preferably an honest one, Emma informed him.

Some sort of employment would be good for Ray and ensure that he stayed in Clauden. If all else failed there was Plans B and C,but Plan A was the preferred option.

Emma decided in her tipsy state that immediate action was required. She took two empty glasses and clinked them together, until she had everyone in the immediate vicinity's attention.

"My husband and I are recently married, and we have a baby on the way . We are so poor I had to sell my wedding ring, please is there anyone in this bar that could give my husband Ray a job. He is desperate enough to accept any offers, for the sake of our unborn child ," Emma pleaded.

Zackery turned to look at the woman. Naturally his eyes narrowed. He tried not to trust anyone. After all, he had to come up with sob stories like that all the time after he had first deserted the army.
Everyday it was stuff like, 'my parents died and there's no money for the funeral' or 'I'm hurt, bad... I don't got money to go see my mama and she's dyin'... I just wanna see her again.' Of course not all the stories worked, but most of the time they got him where he needed to be. That was all that mattered.

With a huff Zackery uncaringly turned back toward his water. He no more believed the two of them were married than he believed in God, and Zackery didn't believe there was a God anymore.
It wasn't like Zackery had a job for the man anyways. There was no way he could help them. Hell, there was no way he could help himself.

"I've been here for a year" Treize said calmly. Treize listened to Emma's plea's. Deep in thought he knew what the right thing to do was. "I have a job" Treize said loudly. Treize diddnt have a job. He only merely wanted to help him out. Treize had plenty of money from his parents mystereous fiery death. Treize would simply give him the cash and be done with it.

Ray was embarrassed, he could find work on his own without Emma begging.

"Be quiet honey", he told her nicely as his 19th century demenor permitted.

"That's okay folks, we don't need charity, but if anyone has actual work, I won't turn it down.", he announced.
