Sicilia looked up as she heard Eliot dismiss himself from the conversation. Her eyes followed him, and a small gasp escaped her. "Will she be okay, Dr. Byer?" she questioned.

Genesis stirred, zoning a little into the conversation with a ringing in her ears. Wrinkling her brow in frustration to try and wake, she stayed still to hope the dizziness would blow over.

"I apologize," she said, looking at the two. "I believed to have overheard your conversation..."

Elliot smiled.
"Ah, then you must excuse us, as Mr. Scowley seems to have an interest in morbid topics. I hope we did not offend you," he said. He looked back over at Sicilia.
"She should be fine. Just a little faint, I believe. However," Elliot said, again looking at Genesis.
"Just in case, I would like to assure that you are not running a temperature. May I?"
He raised his hand, making to place it on her forehead.

Hellister took an interest in the woman who was looking faint, primarily because she had drawn away the conversation.

Hellister walked over to where the woman was being examined and tried to continue to talk to the doctor as he worked.

"Pretty you say? Well that is one of my interests, physical beauty though I wouldn't say it would be a requirment."

Hellister looked at Sicilia and then back at the doctor, "She used to be pretty but then she got ugly on me. At least her soul did though I doubt she has changed much physically since I saw her last."

Hellister reached out to touch the woman the doctor was working on, "What remarkable pale skin, I wonder where did her color go?"

"Yes, please, and thank you for the kind help," she said to Elliot instigating he could take her temperature while noticing Hellister Scowley moving towards them in order to continue the conversation. Hoping that he wouldn't continue with the morbid topic that has caused her to faint in the first place. Listening, it did intrigue her as he spoke of people she had never met or known. There was something about him that she just couldn't put her finger on though.

"Kindly take a step back, sir, if you would. No need to make our lady here feel any more uncomfortable. Miss Perrine's soul became ugly, you say?" Elliot said, only half paying attention. He gently touched Genesis' forehead, withdrawing his hand quickly. He smiled.
"Yes, yes, I think you will be just fine. Drink plenty of water. The desert is particularly warm at this time of year. Oh, and if you are ever medically inclined in the future, my name is Elliot Byer. Feel free to seek me out. I have cures that Rose Hospital has probably never heard of."
He turned to Hellister.
"That goes for you as well. You look a trifle ill yourself, but I suppose, er, certain circumstances would account for that?"

Sicilia sighed with relief hearing that Genesis was going to be okay. "Yes, Dr. Byer is quite right. Nothing but heat waves and dry spells throughout this time of year, though it really isn't much better come winter," she smiled weakly.

Her smile however melted when she heard Hellister start his conversation back up. "An ugly soul?" Sicilia gaped confused. How had she become ugly? Was his memory of what had happened in the church that hazy? She was in love with another man. It was either end it now before the wedding continued or hurt him later down the road. Sicilia couldn't believe her ears.

Hellister took a step back from the lady who had fainted and noticed Sicilia looked concerned for her health.

"I see you are worried about this stranger on the floor. Yet, I offered you everything and you never once worried for my health. "

Hellister spoke to Genesis, "So why have you gathered us all here then with your careless act of syncope? You have are attention so deliver what message you had wished to deliver."

"Thank you Dr. Byer, I will be sure to pass the word to my guardian," she said, giving a small smile. Hearing the words passed over in the process, she understood that the woman next to her was Miss Perrine. From her teaching, she found it rude and very ungentlemanly to slander a woman's reputation in public but what surprised her most was when Mr. Scowley spoke to her.

"I beg your pardon, sir, but I have no message to deliver," she started. "Perhaps you are confusing me with another person of Clauden since I just moved here and am having a look about. But if you will excuse me, I will finish my drink and leave. Thank you for your help Dr. Byer and your concern MIss Perrine."

Genesis stood to her feet and brushed the invisible dirt from her gowns before taking a seat in the booth to drink some water a waitress had sat down for her.

Hellister looked at the doctor in surprise.

"Can you imagine that? What kind of woman would go through all that trouble putting on such a show and then have no profound message to dictate to us......" Hellister was quiet for some time.

"It was as if she acted like the fainting was just some mere random act or an inconvenience rather than an opportunity. Now when I faint and have such a crowd gathered around me I most always come up with some deep wisdom to lavish onto the group, that is if I hadn't planned the fainting ahead of time to gather the crowd to begin with."

Hellister looked questioningly at the doctor, "So you say this friend of yours is attractive? What exactly was her name again and where would I find her if a bachelor like me was hoping to find some romance rather late in life."

"You are quite welcome, my dear," Elliot said to Genesis. He moved back to his seat and looked at Hellister, studying him curiously.
"'Planned fainting?'" he echoed in low voice. "How very interesting. I shall have to try that myself one day." He was silent, then he regained his usual bravado.
"Oh, you mean Eva? Yes, attractive, but a bit tough for a lady, if I may say so. I believe she was involved in a plan to rehabilitate the town of its evils. I would not be at all surprised if she was also present at the jail. As I aforementioned, there was a bit of a ruckus."

Eva was at the jail as well? Sicilia's eyes widened in shock. She knew for sure now, whatever was going on at the jail, if it was still even at the jail, wasn't good. The worry in her chest began to swell up. "Oh dear," she muttered to herself, "I hope he's okay."

Her gaze seemed to not capture the tavern anymore. Sicilia's mind had wandered now to more worrisome topics. She hoped all of them were okay and weren't about to go into something rather too dangerous for them to handle. Though her main hopes were for Larghetto. She preferred seeing him again unharmed or, at the least, alive.

Hellister listened to all Elliot said.

"Well if the lady is getting rid of evil it is going to be a difficult task. I wonder what degree of evil she is getting rid of? Most people I've seen in this town, actually all the people I have seen in this town are evil by some degree."

Hellister smoked some more, "Maybe I might want to avoid her then. I might be judged as evil myself and find myself boiling in a large pot with a fire built under it."

"Well, I believe I may have mislead you, my dear sir," Elliot said. He now turned completely to Hellister, intent on finishing what he started. He would make this woman that he hardly knew as falsely appealing as the products he sold.
"Not necessarily 'evil'... 'Troublemakers', is more what she is looking for. Now, I have not known you for long, but you do not necessarily seem like bad folk. In fact, you seem like the kind of man who likes to be in the center of action, much like my friend Eva."

Jamie sauntered in with his guitar on his back. He paused in the doorway, scanning the tavern for someone he knew, and was pleasantly surprised to see Sicilia, looking very distant.
"Hi there, Hellister," Jamie said, patting him on the shoulder as he walked by. He leaned against the counter beside Sicilia, attempting to be inconspicious, and ordered a beer.
"Fancy meeting you here, young lady. How have you been? Where have you been?"
Jamie lit a cigarette and stared out into the crowd.
