-Leio's patience was running short; the assasin was supposed to be doing her work quickly and decisively, but he still sensed Aegis' life. He was getting a bit angry, and, as he strode along the cemetary path, he kept muttering curse words to himself.-

Still wearing her mask, Mari made her way down to the cemetary, placing insence and flowers by a grave.

She was glad that Alex hadn't charged her. it gave her enough money that she could actually buy flowers, and visit this grave as she had so neglected to do.

When she reaches the fruthest away grave, she falls to her knees, taking off her mask she cryies silently. She prays over the person that was hidden from all, in the far corner of the cemetary, covered in ivy vines. The person she had avoided mentioning for all these years. Aegis reminded her of the person who was once most precious to her, the person that now lay beneath the ground.

-Leio noticed the girl. Instantly, he thought of Aegis.-

"So she's tied to him."

-He muttered. He was getting closer. Despite her cries of sadness, he walked towards her and asked,-

"Where might I find your friend Aegis?"

She looks up at him with what looked almost like hate in her eyes at him for interupting.

"I don' know, and even if I did, why would I tell ye'? Who are ya', how do ye know Aegis, an' how do ye know that I know Aegis?" she asks, replacing her mask upon her face, readying her swords.

It's obvious that Mari's usual first reaction to someone walking up to her, is to fight, not to talk.

-Leio was startled at her reaction. Clearly she was angry.-

"Because...well, it's complicated. I need to know where he is. Tell me."

-Leio stared into her eyes.-

"If'n ya' don' giv' me a reason, I definately won' tell ye," she says, looking back at the grave, then quickly looking at Leio again.

"I'm really n-not in the best o' moods righ' now, it'd be best fer both of us if'n ya' either tell me as tah' why ye need tah' know, leave, or I kill you. I don't hesitate to kill men," she glares at him harsh enogh to freeze over the Sahara.

She rises 1 sword to eye level, and lowers the other to her waist, a sturdy 2 sworded fighting stance.

-Leio turned his back to the girl. Clearly, she wasn't going to cooperate.-

"Fine, as you wish."

-He quickly drew his blade out, and pointed it at her, solidly eyeing the stance she was making.-

"I do not wish to fight you, but if you must, I will. There is no reason for me to know; I just need to."

"Fer the las' time, I don' know where he is, an' would greatly 'priciate it if ye would jus' leave me be. In case ya' are as stupid as ye look, I was prayin' a fore ya' gots here," she said looking a little nonresponsive, momentarily.

She looks back up at him angrily, as though he was the one who put the person in their grave, adjusting her swords once more to a more reckless stance. If they were to hit from this angle, Leio would get more damage than a standard stance, but it left her right side nearly defensless.

"I'll give ye one las' chance tah' leave."

-Leio was quite surprised at the girl's stubborn personality.-

"I realize that you were grieving, I saw that. But I must have this information! The fate of my world depends on it!"

"If it ain't the fate o' this world, WHY THE HELL SHOULD I CARE? The way yer talkin' makes it sound like you think he's a 'threat'. The fact yer carryin' that there blade, leads meh ta' belive ya' want to do somethin' 'bout this 'threat'. I promised I'd protect those I care about, 'n' never let anoth'r one of 'em die. Even if it costs me mah own la-ife, I swored I would. Aegis is mah friend!" she lashes out angrily.

-Leio lowered his blade, and put it away. Her anger was all but clear, and he was willing to compromise; for now.-

"Fine. As you wish, I will leave. But don't start going about trusting that man. He's dangerous."

-He grinned evilly, and turned his back.-

"You're going to get hurt."

-He knew his lie would work. If he got Mari to distrust Aegis, it'd make it easier to capture him; and, more importantly, kill him.-

"See you."

-He ran off.-

"What'dya' mean dan..." she trailed off as he got further away.

She then turned back to the grave stone, to resume mourning. But this time she was far more alert.

The gravestone read,
"Abigail Goto: November 3, 1849 - May 18, 1866"

As she turned back to leave, the said over her shoulder softly, "I'm sorry I waited so long to visit...mom.''

-Aegis appeared, jogging towards Mari. As he neared her, he noticed the mask on her face, and instantly realized that she was in a fight, and not too long ago it seemed.-

"Mari? What're you doing here?"

-Aegis lowered his head and bowed. He knew what she was here for, and he respected that. Too bad he didn't have anyone to visit.-

"I see. Your mother lies dead here?"

-He said, reading the name engraved on the tombstone. It was hard to think that a cheerful and spirited girl such as this had any ounce of grief inside her at all. But it was there, as there was happiness, albeit unclear.-

"I shall pay my respects with you."

-Aegis knelt in front of the grave, and lowered his head. He muttered a short prayer to the goddess, and then knelt even lower. A tear ran down his cheek, and then stopped at the edge of his nose. It fell to the ground.-

"My family's proud of me. I just can't bear to see somebody without one, ya know? Breaks my heart."

-He lifted himself. There were tears running out every which way, falling to the ground. He wiped them all away.-

"I dunno where that came from."

-He said, smacking his head a little.-

"Pull it together, yeah?"

-Aegis put his hand on Mari's shoulder, and smiled weakly. He knew of her sadness, and the only thing he could do was share it with her. He had no healing abilities, nor did he have any words of wisdom.-

"Please don't mourn over a loved one. They would've wanted you to remember them, but not just the bad stuff. If you keep crying, you'll lose their memories forever."

-He sighed.-

"They say in Dark Chaos that every tear you shed, you lose a memory for the thing you're mourning for. So, yeah, it's okay to cry a little, but heck, not too much!"

-He smiled once again, and sat down on the ground next to the tombstone, being careful not to sit on the grave itself.-
