« Thread started on: May 6th, 2008, 4:25pm »

Slypher sat ontop of one of the gravestones and sighed. He was finally home. All of his travels around the world the past year and this was the one place he had ever called home since his embrace into the darkness. He let his fingers move softly over the cold stone and he smiled. His sharp fangs gleaming in the moonlight. However as much as he thought of this place as his home, he had to leave for a while to find his roots again. To remember what it ment to be a vampire. He smiled again. To be better than the lowlife cattle known as humans. However with this kind of place, deception was what was going to be needed to be able to feed here. He let his hand move to his side as he gently fingered the butt of his revolver. It's smooth surface was cool on his finger. How nice it would be to get to use it again. His hand moved to his other side and it felt the hilt of his knife. And to use the blade again. He was ready to watch to precious liquid of life flow freely on the ground.

Delia was in deep meditation in front of a carefully cut mausoleum entrance. In her head she was no longer existing, she just listened, the sound of thick ivy crawling, of spider legs nimbly running, of yellowing grass blades slapping on one another in the slight breeze, and of the dead calling out for peace.
It was all very usual for the graveyard until another noise was introduced. Softly, the sound of skin gliding over a rough, rocky surface.
She was intrigued.

Slowly she entered back into her body, feeling her skin, stretching her finger tips and inhaling much too loudly. She wasn't very fond of being curious.

Seward walked through the graveyard pacing down the gravestones. He diddnt look as pale as he had a week ago color had finnally formed on his face since the bite. He quickly stopped swearing he heard something. "birds" Seward muttered to himself. Blood transfusions proofed to be a good way of keeping the urges for blood down. However he still wondered why his condition diddnt seem as bad as the tales he heard. Perhaps a mild case or maybe it was the fact that he never had fresh blood. Except for the blood from inside his own veins.

Seward diddnt have a light as he no longer needed one. His eyes adjusted more to the darkness since he was given this curse. In fact he could see perfectly. He spun around looking behind him. His hands began to get sweaty. As he heard the leaves rustling from the wind. "anyone there" Seward asked he suspected someone was hiding behind the graves. Perhaps a child. Perhaps some insane toothless homeless man with a knife.

Slypher heared the the movement of people in the graveyard. It sounded like two people. But he could only smell the blood of one person. The blood of the other seemed not to be there own. And then he smiled. "Ah a fledgling." He said to himself. He stood on the grave stone and ran quickly and quietly. He didn't know where the other person was exactly. But he would find them later. At this time he was more interested in the fledgling.

He crouched on a grave stone close to the young vampire. 'Is anyone there?' He asked. A smile appeared on Slyphers face. "Are you scared young one?" Slypher asked, his voice carrying on the wind so that his location could not be determined. "Have you even had a drink since you have been reborn?" He said with a small chuckel.

She was struck into a quick pause, there was no longer only one other being lurking between the stones, but now an extra second person had stumbled into the yard, not only that, but it seemed both could hardly be called humans considering their conversation topic.

Assuming quickly was one of the girls more charming qualities. It had the tendency to keep her out of uncalled for situations. But her searing curiosity, another charming quality, would never relinquish her from a quest.

It was at this point she realized that she wouldn't be leaving the graveyard without placing herself into considerable danger. Delia could deal with were-creatures, shifters, imps and troublesome sprites, demons from the deep, and thieving humans, but vamps seemed to always get the best of her.

Considering his race she figured he already knew she was there, if not even knew her exact location and blood type and height and maiden name and who, besides himself, knew what else.

She decided that if they were interested in her, they would come to her, and settled back into her meditation, listening carefully to their conversation.

Seward quickly spun around again reaching into his pocket and pulling out his pistol. "whos out there?" Seward asked looking into the darkness. For some hope of seeing something. It would almost be reliefing to see someone in the graveyard. Better then beginning to believe that this diesease made him become more paranoid.

"I've tried to quit I swear....but times have been tough you know?" Seward asked assuming the topic was alcohal. Of course alchohal once seemed like a craving he could not beat. He assumed the reborn line was mentioned when he began working with the church in the Vatican. He began to question himself then was this the voice of god or the voice in his head or the voice of a madman.

Slypher smiled and spoke again. "My my, such an intresting child." He said softly. "Follow me, it is time for you to have your first drink. It is the drink of the gods." He said. "Just follow my voice. It is actually here in the graveyard. Infact if you close your eyes and just let your senses take over, I bet you would be able to hear it, smell it, and maybe even taste it slightly." He said as he tried to lure him to the young girl.

Seward quickly closed his eyes. Hoping that some gigantic hand from the skies would take him away from this graveyard. Seward closed his eyes and began to taste something. Something that seemed to raise up and down his spine a thirst for blood. Seward began to shake nervously. He wouldnt do this. "I---I cant do this this is just a test" Seward said nervously.

Delia wasn't excited, but there was no way for her to prevent them from coming to her now that they'd been hooked. Especially since she was the dessert of choice.

She quietly, though it wasn't needed, stood up and leaned against the thick stone wall of the mausoleum. The second voice seemed rather unwilling to do what the first tempted it with. If she was to get out of this without the cliche bite marks on her neck or elsewhere she would need to rely on her less then coy actions, she would have to not be seductive, something she wasn't used to. But it wasn't as if she could fight her way out.

"I can hear you." she whispered her arms wedged between her back and the wall, "It'd be quite nice if I wasn't your target." she stared into the stone laid path she stood on.

"This way." The voice hissed to the young vampire. "And you will learn true joy. The joy you recieve even though god has turned his back on you." He said. "You are a soulless monster now and god will have nothing to do with you." He said with a slight laugh.

He heared the females voice and smiled. Mist began to fill the grave yard and it traveled to where the young woman stood. "So you hear us do you." He said, as he appeared from the mist infront of her. "Well, that's a shame." He said. A small smile played on his lips. "If you try to get away, you'd better not run, because your blood will be rushing through your body, giving your position away so much easier." He said as he stepped closer to her.

"As I know, a small little thing, such-as-me, couldn't out run you if you happened to be human, but considering you're not, well I'm just out of luck now aren't I?" Even in danger she still flirted with her predator.

Delia didn't try focusing on his shrouded image, she kept her ears alert and listened carefully for his position. She assumed his eyes would be better inclined in this sort of habitat and trying to see him would only hinder the little calming nerve she had.

"I'd plead for my mortal life but that would only prove to be a useless effort, besides, who says I even have that?" she smiled coyly girlish giggles escaping her lips.

Seward walked towards the voice. Almost hypnotized by the tempation of fresh blood. The fangs on his mouth grew and his skin became pale as it had before. He looked behind each of the graves patiently incase she ran down the graves or jumped over the fence. He then saw the shadow of Delia talking to some strange fog in the graveyard. Seward smiled as he began to walk towards Delia prepared to strike quickly.

Her hands clenched the revolver she had pulled from the holster on her thigh when she'd first pinned herself against the mausoleum wall minutes ago. Delia was too worried about one vampire to have remembered about the other.

Her veins pulsed, nerves frying, her mind calm while her body shook. Physically she was but a young woman, hardly into her second decade. But mentally, mentally she was hundreds of years old, her soul having occupied many family generations, yet she couldn't control how human instincts would react to such a moment. She just hoped she'd be able to react when needed.

Seward moved more animal like towards her. He hunched his back over preparing to strike. Instead he just stood their looking at her pinned against the wall. Perhaps the good doctor was trying to stop himself. Perhaps their was some way to hold himself back. Unfortunately the only thing Seward could hear was the demons of his past screaming into his ears to kill her and to drain her blood.
