Dwight stepped into the church for a moment. He had never really been inside the church of Clauden. Sure he had seen it, but he had never really been inside it. Je walked down to the middle and sat down on a pew. Dwight wasn't the ask for forgiveness type of person.
Actually, he would rahter God ask his forgiveness for screwing up his life. It could go either way, but Dwight was too prideful to ask for forgiveness, and he was too prideful to forgive God for anything.

With a sigh Dwight leaned back, letting his hands rest at his sides. At least in a church he didn't have to worry about anything bad happening. He could just sit there and reflect over recent goings on. It still bothered him that he had been turned down by a woman.
Dwight wasn't used to being turned down. In a way it drew him to her even more. He wanted to know that he could get her if he wanted to, but then he wasn't so sure.

Dwight pulled out his trusted gun and took the bulletts out of it. He had only just realized that it was still loaded. It seemed rude to have a loaded gun in a church. Then again... when had Dwight ever really cared if he were rude or not?
A thought hit him that hadn't seriously hit him in a long time. What if he were to change? What if he were to really becomd a gentleman?

NAH! That really wasn't his style.
Dwight was the kind of man that didn't like to change, and probably never would. Linking his hands behind his head, Dwight found it a lit easier to relax.

Francesca walked into the church. The church wasn't somewhere she normally went. In fact, she had been there only twice. Once, she assisted a wounded Gohby Tween. The second time was for Roland's funeral.
She had found that she had even less to do than she used to now that her best friend was dead.
Fran had come her today out of sheer boredom and slight loneliness. She had dressed in a white white brimmed hat and a black dress.
She rolled her eyes when she saw that she had company.
"I didn't take you as a religious man."

Dwight looked up when he heard a familiar voice. "I am not religious. Just in need of some relaxation." he said nonchalantly as he positioned himself to where he could see her better. Indeed it was who he thought it was. The girl from the ball and the science show.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, almost as if he owned the church.

Dwight actually didn't mean the question to sound so offensive, but that was the way it came out. Sometimes Dwight's nice tone did really sound very rude. It was something Dwight had decided never to work on.

"What's it to you?" Francesca said with narrowed eyes, immediately taking offense. She looked around, wondering if that albino freak still lived in this church.
She decided that knowing an albino freak was probably something to brag about.
"There used to be an albino freak who lived in here and played the organ."

"What's it to you?"

Dwight shrugged. He could have come up with some sleezy response, but he wasn't up to it at the moment. When he was about to add something to answer her question he was interrupted.

"There used to be an albino freak who lived in here and played the organ."

Dwight raised an eyebrow. Was that supposed to impress him? He chuckled slightly and shook his head. "I see. Where is he now then?" he asked. "Probably----" he paused and shook his head, "Nevermind."

"What? I don't know where he is. I don't track weirdos," Francesca said in a matter-of-fact tone. She walked to one of the pews on the opposite side of the church of Dwight and sat down.
"There was a funeral in here the other day. Did you know? I wonder if his ghost is in here."

"There was a funeral in here the other day. Did you know? I wonder if his ghost is in here."

"No." Dwight said calmly. "I didn't know there was a funeral, but I don't believe in ghosts." He added. "The whole idea just doesn't make sense." He thought for a moment. "Well, actually, I guess I don't know what I believe."
Dwight turned his head to look at her, the remnance of a smug smile lingering on his lips.

"That's too bad," Francesca said in the same haughty tone. "You're more likely to encounter one if you are open to the experience. As a matter of fact, I've seen several. Not exactly pleasant experiences."

Dwight shrugged, "Guess I'm not very open to it." he retorted as he turned his gaze from her to stare straight forward. "The overall idea of encountering a ghost does not seem too pleasant." He crossed his arms and shook his head.
"If I did see a ghost..." he reflected, "I probably wouldn't like it. A ghost is probably just a person that's just too selfish to die with the rest of them." He said bitterly. "They have to come back and rub it in everybody's face like we don't know that people that die are unhappy."

"That's not true, they are dead!' Francesca crossed her arms. She frowned. "I don't know why they're not 'crossed over' or all that. Maybe no one crosses over. Maybe crossing over really means dying forever and they're too scared to cross that line."
She sighed softly and looked up at the ceiling.
"What if someone you know died and they needed to say something to you? Wouldn't you let them?"

"I don't know why they're not 'crossed over' or all that. Maybe no one crosses over. Maybe crossing over really means dying forever and they're too scared to cross that line."

Dwight corssed his arms. "Maybe... maybe not. Is there really any way of knowing what that's like until we die ourselves?" He shurgged, meaning to just change the subject, but Francesca didn't seem ready to change, and Dwight was ready to oblige her.

"What if someone you know died and they needed to say something to you? Wouldn't you let them?"

"Well... I don't know. I guess it all depends on who it is..." Dwight turned his head to look at Francesca. "Have you ever wanted to say something, but not known how to say it until it's way too late to say anything?" he asked.
In many ways Dwight had felt that when someone died he had been cheated of a life, not the other person. Of course that's just the base of Dwight's selfishness. He had never really had anyone that close die.

The church's door squeaked open as Sicilia walked in. It was just yesterday she was in here for Roland's funeral. Now she was here to think about her life, and where it's going. She was to be married here soon, and the thought frightened her. Sicilia knew deep down that she was making a mistake. She knew this, but she doesn't wish to hurt Hellister. She never wishes to hurt a single soul.

"Have you ever wanted to say something, but not known how to say it until it's way too late to say anything?"

-I know what that's like,- thought lazily to herself and looked up. "Oh, there are people here," she said in dawning realization.

"Yes, I have," Francesca said quietly. She realized that she was acting sort of weird today and passed it off as grief. Grief for the life that Roland lost. Grief for the life that Lavender would never live.
She heard someone enter the church and she looked behind her.
"Wow, quite a crowd today."

Sicilia gave them a small curtsie. "I'm sorry. I'll let you two be, if that's your wish. I was looking for the priest," she muttered, "to reserve the church soon."

"No, the church is open to all, or so I've heard. I haven't seen a priest, though," Francesca said, shrugging. She looked at Sicilia curiously.
"Why do you need the church? Are you getting married?"
She said the last few words with clear distaste.
