xx Wade’s book of personal inventions/investigations
« Thread started on: Dec 18th, 2006, 3:33pm »

This plain looking notebook contains personal notes on Wade’s most favored inventions, as well as some specifications thereof. The language however, is unknown to you.

Harlequin’s Kiss:

I believe I have outdone myself again. My invention is finally complete. I must say it took some time, as nobody has ever devised, what I am referring to as “monofilament” technology. Nobody else has even fathomed the idea, however I managed to not only invent it, but already incorporate it with my latest device.

In all instances this should be referred to as a weapon. I d not wish to, because that seems somehow demeaning to it. I wish there was a stronger word, super-weapon is the closest I could think of. This is a modern marvel. A spectacular reinvention of armed combat as the civilized world knows it. Because of the truly glorious nature of this invention, I will not be reporting it back to my superiors. They will mass produce it, cheapening it. This is a holy relic, and should be treated as such, not a trinket that is to be given to everybody who wants to fight; it should be reserved for the few who are truly masters.

Enough of that however, on to what makes a truly genius invention. The very shape of it is the start to the danger of this weapon. A rather simple tube, ending with a point; The deception of it all is the start of the weapon. To understand the greatness of it you have to understand how that was created itself. A combination of ceramic materials and crystalline reinforcement; It is neigh unbreakable, I have tested punching through a manhole cover if given enough force and remaining un-scratched.

Of course, if that was all I created, I would be the largest fool ever. A year of study to yield such a simple tool, the notion alone is sickening. This, is where I have been able to utilize to the most horrifying extent, my monofilament craft.

The tube, when is use, is attached to the forearm of the user. Upon flipping down his wrist, the tube is actually able to detect the tension in the forearm and activate its full deadly potential. The tube serves the purpose as a sort of injection rod, shooting in a tangled web of this monofilament wire. Upon entry, the wire begins to wreck havoc on the subjects innards, turning them into nothing more but a soupy mixture. This wouldn’t kill the victim instantly, on the contrary, it would lead to an excruciatingly painful death where he or she would slowly bleed out from the inside.

Oh, what joy, I can hardly contain myself; I have truly outdone myself this time. I must find a way to show the world how genius this is. I shall name this, the Harlequin’s Kiss, after its deceptive look.

Flip Belts:

My finishing touches to it are complete. However, not even Albert is competent enough to use this. It shall be reserved for me and for me alone. My flip-belt, it means everything to me. All other inventions are meager in comparison. I will go very little into the trouble of creating it, instead I will only praise what it does.

The first thing I have made it to do, alter gravity itself. Only a person of my vast intellect could have understood gravity itself enough to master it. The flip belt itself can create an effect which I am calling anti-gravity. This allows for amazing feats of athleticism, moving faster and jumping higher than even. I have managed to time myself moving at the unheard of speed of forty miles in an hour, and that was effortlessly.

If that was all this flip belt could do I would name myself a washed up hack. No, the most amazing thing is the dathedi: a distorted holographic image of the wearer. All the speed imaginable to a man, and the ability to mislead any targets as well, it truly is amazing. The dathedi shatters my image, turning me into a field of moving dominos, high speed and tinged with dazzling flashes of light. An armor that makes it so it is impossible to get hit.

All of this in a disk that looks commonplace on my belt. As such, that is where it shall always be, and partly the reason for its name. I shall never make another; this will be a possession only I shall have.

((After Wade bushes off the random shrunken furnishings in his book, he begins to write))

The Transmode virus: Delightful, absolutely delightful. The first ever techno-organic virus to ever be created and I am the mastermind behind it. Of course, it only proved to be useful in two cases, all other subjects met with negative results. Techno-organic material resembles both machinery and living tissue. All techno-organic cells function like independent machines and carry both the virus and all information on their carriers, including memories and appearance. This allows a techno-organic being to rebuild itself from a single cell when destroyed. Of course, subject A (Albert of all people), has not been fully infected. This is due to his healing ability; the virus was contained in certain areas. Ajax however (the other subject) seems to have fully taken the virus. Study of Ajax was turned over to other doctors however, more in-depth repot to come later. I have however noticed an unusual reaction with the virus merged with Albert. Possibly do to his pre-existing black canvas gene-seeds, he seems to have developed a sort of, gravimetric field. The power of it is thus far unknown, and I’m not certain he knows of it himself; reports to come.

The Deadsuit: (this section looks to have been erased and re-written.)

I have made some changes to my Deadsuit, it is now far more useful than my original intention. It's red skin now appears to be covered in hundreds, if not thousands, of pores. These pores, however, are simply homes to colonies of millions of the nanites I have invented (explained in a later entry). These nanites help to decipher the slightest changes in external surroundings, as well as act as a way to instantly begin repairs should the suit be damaged.

Internally, nanites act as a linked network to fuse with my nervous system and communicate directly with nanites and other systems linked to the suit.

Five sensors are also linked into the suit: Three in the face, and one on each palm. Appearing as nothing more than black pits, these sensors serve in the assisting of gathering information. Most notably the palm mounted units pick up electromagnetic information as well as humidity, gravitational fields, and slight tremors. The others are linked with other tools of Wade and can even pick up ambient infrared light as well as thermal signatures.

Hellister was ejected from the porthole which appeared on the open page of Wade's book of inventions. Hellister looked down, a few inches from the porthole, and saw giant writing. Hellister was three inches tall.

"What...?"

Jamie fell out of the porthole and skidded across the page of the book.
He just layed there for awhile with his eyes closed, realized Francesca was still clinging to him, pried her off, stood up and looked around.
"What is this?" he exclaimed suddenly. "This is getting quite interesting, now isn't it?"

"Doc, you ought to be in bed, what the hell you doin' this for anyway?"
"Wyatt Earp is my friend."
"Hell, I've got plenty of friends."
"I don't."

"Are we dead yet?" Francesca asked, refusing to move. "I don't like the sound of what you guys are exclaiming over there, so I think I'll just stay right here."

Lavender had come through the portal with Hellister. She said nothing. Sometimes it is best to say nothing.

((OOC: Guess who realized I was supposed to make another post for every entry? This guy))

Wraithcannon –

Not really a cannon, not like others I have made that is. This is more akin to a rifle in terms of size and function. However, it is nothing like either, so the name really is useless. It is roughly the size of a sawed off 22 gauge shotgun. However, again, they are nothing alike. It is a combination of all I have created. It is my final gift to the Omnissiah for now; a combination of all that I have learned.

The composition is fairly simple, a plasti-crystal core along with some parts begin make from the transmode virus I have created. It is rugged, yet still maintains its light weight, and to an extent, sell repairing.

However, this “gun” does not fire ammunition as the world knows it. It fires neither solid, liquid, or gas. I received the idea from a friend of mine, though I doubt she knows she gave it to me. It creates miniature holes that overlay with a point in the space continuum (a place I have dubbed “Immaterium”). These holes at as gates to another dimension altogether, and are able to cause great damage. This is mostly due to the density of the “holes” it creates. These are dense enough to as create a gravitational field powerful enough to have an escape velocity greater than the speed of light. However, do to their small size; their event horizon is not as large as the ones I have observed in space.

However, I have not used this yet as I fear it might have some undesirable results. To an observer who is watching the matter the event horizon is effecting the location can be determined. However an observer being effected by the event horizon will never be able to determine the location of it. To the observer in question it would seem to always be at a constant distance away, as he enters a speed fast enough to obtain an extraordinary level of time dilation and until the event horizon is past him till a point he enters the Immaterium he will not notice anything happen to him. However, the amount of radiation left behind from such an accelerated (I imagine it would move several times faster than the speed of light) object might prove troublesome, more data to come.

It powers itself with the Particle Collider I created earlier, due to the size of the gates, I was able to miniaturize the PC as I did not need the energy I originally intended (the original blue prints called from something more akin to a cannon, hence the name).

Neovaculum- While, not particularly amazing, it is better than anything else the hacks in this town could dream of making. Crystallized titanium sandwiched in between two layers of adamantium, and all of this held together by a self sustaining electrical magnetic field. This field however is by no means powerful enough to effect anything beyond itself, but does the purpose of containment extraordinarily well. This makes it the most dense and rugged material I have thus far been able to find on this planet. However, it does come at the price of being the most weighty of materials, as such I have found limited use for it.

Nanites: Ever since my creation of the computer (something far too insignificant to mention in here) I have searched for a way to make it smaller. I thought I was at the maximum height of technology advancement when I made it card sized. I had a break through beyond what I could imagine to happen. I managed not only to create a computer, but a robot (again, described earlier). Amazingly, the robot only measures to be a few atoms in length. The true power of these nanites lies not in the individual, but in the colonies that can be created. I have begun to experiment, but no conclusions can be drawn as to their usefulness. These nanocolonies can occur in a number of forms. So far I imigine the most marketable one to be Nanoaugmentations, that is, nanocolonies that enhance the subject. However, more interestingly (and the true goal of my research) are nanoviruses and independent colonies. Thus far I have been unable to test my findings, hopefully, that will change soon. Imagine a virus that is untraceable and human made. Unable to be randomly spawned and passed on only to whoever the owner choses. If only I had a suitable subject.
