xx Mariah's letters

Mariah Darcy's journal is actually not a journal at all, but a collection of the copies of letters that she pens to her best friend Arthur Collins. It is a worn, thick, leather covered book that is written entirely in pink ink.

My Dearest Arthur,

Hello. Please accept my sincerest apologies for not writing for a while. Paper and ink is expensive, and father says that I will need to work on my own time in order to pay for it myself.
I do hope that you recieve this letter and are able to send me letters in the future. We have moved into our new town, so you will have to send them to the new address, but I do not think that it will be a problem.
I attended a ball on my second night here in town. Never in my life have I experienced such a thing. A strange-looking man, apparently possessed by some otherworldy force, began offering crackers to the attendants. The one woman who took one became similarly possessed. Three men had to restrain the pair with firearms, and a dark-haired woman ended up fixing them with some sort of spell. In addition to this, a werewolf walked in. He was the sheriff.
I know this is all quite hard to believe, but I hope you will take it as more than just an All Hallow's Eve tale.
I have met a few seemingly nice individuals. A woman named Arashi who is also new in town, a wealthy man named Mister Sion Inksmith, a tall man known as Mister Wesley Pressman who happened to be one of the men with the guns, and a man I only know as Mister Edwards. Mister Edwards also claims to have only gotten here recently. I also crossed paths with a very western looking man who ran into me and a blond man with a French accent. They are all quite interesting.
I believe that Mister Pressman mentioned that he was a journalist. He seemed quite unhappy.
I will close on this note, as I am running low on room to write. I hope you and your family are well. Rosanna is doing as good as she possibly can be under the circumstances.
I eagerly await your response.
Sincerely,
Miss Mariah Darcy
