Albert felt a sense of enlightenment as he followed the strong scent of Dwight to the mines. In the back of his head he heard an indistinctive chatter, as if from a great distance. His blood ran strong and burning hot through his body, right now, he was all adrenaline.

He entered a mine tunnel and then began to lay and wait, for any sign that Dwight may be approaching, for any sign that anybody is still in the mines. He held Alex close to him still, always checking to make sure her hand was still in his, that he didn’t lose control of himself and leave her.

Dwight could hear people entering the mines. Not good. He decided to wait a bit. Whoever it was would have to come to him instead. A challenge... something he hadn't had in a while.

Albert heard something, a heart beat suddenly flicker. Perhaps he caused fear in another man, or maybe it was just statement, regardless, he found his prey. He finally released Alexandra’s hand. He needed both hands for when he worked. He was going against a foe that was more than likely armed with a number of guns, well versed in street fights, and waiting an attack. In his mind, that was coming close to being an even fight.

All Albert had was the rose Alex had picked, a small brown wafer he took from his hide out, and the near empty cigarette case, and if things went to plan all three of them would be used by the end of his hunt.

Albert knew what his mission was, and would fulfill it to the letter. He walked out, the fact he had his boots taken away upon his voluntary arrest. This made his footsteps softer, that is, his left footstep softer. His right continued to give the metallic click anything that's metal would give upon striking stone. He walked closer towards Dwight, not sure of where he was, but honing in on his position.

Travis hiked all the way home from the strip mines, picked up Goop, and then walked all the way back into the gold mine. He lit a torch and then, by memory, he walked to where he had once encountered the monster. When he was certain he had a spot where Albert had touched, he let his dog Goop get the scent of it.

Goop started moving in the direction as to where the odor was strongest.
