Carlos waited by the mouth of the mine. The structure had rubble all over from the explosion and it was obvious that some of the shafts would be closed off. Carlos looked around the area again. He had been there once before when him and Trieze fought Karry.

"I wonder what Captain Marius hopes to find here," Carlos said to himself.

Jean walked to the mine with Larghetto. She was nervous about what she might find inside. She would be devestated to see the body of her husband if it was in there.

Marius was still dragging Mr. Jones as he entered the mines. An overconfident almost physcotic grin came to Marius's face as he looked down on Mr. Jones. That bastard deserved to bleed for trying to get him killed.

"Don't think I'm going to let you go...you piece of sh*t scumbag....you think I'm gonna let go of you so you can prance away safely hah...you better start thinking of some awnsers because we all know you dont know sh*t" Marius said coldly after he finished talking he chuckled a bit to himself. Marius was positive Mr. Jones was a mere madman. Someone who was incapable of being any help to anyone. Marius glanced down the dark tunnels of the mine. He felt a shiver run down his spine again. It was that familiar fear that Marius often tried to ignore. Marius feared that the Baptist was somehow down there alive. Afterall Marius diddnt recall seeing his corpse down there. Marius took a deep breath and realized that the mad man he was pulling would never be as much of a threat as the possibility of that monster still being alive down there.

"I have no clue what we're even looking for," Eva said to herself. She hadn't taken her hand off her gun since the jail, and was wondering if she would have been better off with her coach gun. She watched Marius skeptically as he walked in looking psychotic, and then, with a shrug and a sigh, followed him in.
"Mrs. Hallow, you're welcome to wait out there if you'd like," she called out of the mine.

Carlos had a lapse of memory. He had never before been in the mines. He had fought Karry in the caverns. The mines seemed far more foreboding. Carlos knew that it would take a force of nature to put him in the grave for good, yet for some reason a shiver went up and down his spine.

"It smells like the remains of a pig that has been roasted on a pit and left for the vultures, " Carlos said.

He took out his long knife and held it out to the darkness, "Try not to get in front of my amigos or you may get stuck on my prong."

Carlos laughed at his remark which he hoped would fill the others heart with courage and lightness.

Carlos took some matches out and lit them and noticed that a shaft was caved in.

"The Rooster thinks that something bad happened in that shaft. The Rooster thinks maybe some battle was fought in there"

"NO!" Jean shouted at Eva, "I must see if my husband is in here. "That thing in the jail, it was not my husband."

"Just an offer, geeze," Eva said, rolling her eyes. She caught up to the others. In spite of the situation, she smiled lightly at the 'knife' remark.
"Yeah. Some pretty crazy stuff went on."

Mr. Jones still felt a little light headed from being dragged here. Fortunately the blood was no longer dripping from his face and it was now convenietly drying. Mr. Jones heard the familiar whispering into his ears again. A smile slowly formed on his face again. As he was promised more about seeing beautiful wife again.

"Crazy things? there is nothing crazy that happened here now Mr. Edwards could you please let me go so I could lead you to your awnsers" Mr. Jones said he diddnt speak as if he was mad man anymore. He seemed almost a bit more civilized then his normal rants. He looked up at Marius and then at the almost welcoming darkness of the mine tunnel in front of him.

"Alright so whats our plan for entering this cave?" Marius asked calmly letting go of Mr. Jones. Marius decided to ignore what Mr. Jones said except for his request for Marius to let him go. Marius was almost positive now that Mr. Jones wouldnt run. It was clear that the mad man wanted them to join him where ever he could possible want to go.

"We don't need no plan Captain Marius," Carlos said.

"The Rooster is not afraid of shadows."

Carlos proceeded into the mines. He walked to where the blast had collapsed part of the mine shaft and began trying ot pick through the rubble.

"The Rooster thinks we should go through this damaged shaft if we want answers, No? What do you others think? This is where the action was no?"

Carlos hefted and hoed until a huge boulder fell off of the pile and revealed a tiny hole they could crawl throught to a larger tunnel.

"It doesn't look like everything is destroyed. We can work are way through this shaft the Rooster thinks."

Hellister ran as fast as he could to the mines for his "blind date." He was out of breath when he got to the entrance.

"I wonder what is keeping the others," he said looking behind him.

Sicilia trotted up behind Hellister wondering if Jaimie was right behind her or not. She panted a tad feeling out of shape. Being out of town caused her not to get as much exercise.

Jamie showed up at the mine, still with his guitar.
"Well, this will prove to be superfluous, I'm sure," he said to himself. He looked at the others.
"You two look tired. Maybe we should take a break."

Hellister turned around with a fiery look in he eyes, "We can take a break when we take the big dirt nap!"

Hellister took out a torch and lit it.

"Come now," he said and ran into the mines.

Sicilia gave a sigh and ran after Hellister. She was sure Jaime had been there before, but Hellister was the one with the light. "Come on, Jaime," she called over her shoulder to her friend.
