« Thread started on: Feb 16th, 2006, 3:46pm »

The Allemandes' house is a medium sized building constructed of red bricks. Walking through the doors brings you to a long hallway with two doors on the right and two doors on the left.

The first door on the right leads to a large room that serves as a kitchen, dining room, and living room. The second door leads to a washroom. On the left, the first door leads to Fermata's room, and the second to Larghetto's room.

Fermata's room contains a bed, a piano, a desk, a nightstand with a candle, and several sheets of music spread everywhere.
Larghetto's room contains a bed and a desk, but seems hardly used, as the owner spends many nights sleeping under the stars.

Fermata waltzed into her room in the house, abruptly opening her desk, placing her music sheets inside, taking out a small book, then latching it shut again. She opened the book and hesitated, staring at the empty pages, then she took her quill and began to write.

After a few minutes, she threw the book unto the bed and left the house.

Fermata walked into her room. She dropped her possessions on the desk and fell onto the bed, falling asleep instantly.

(Hours later) Jed walks to the Allemande House where little Fermata is sleeping. In one arm he is carrying the head of one of Mrs. Ellison's dairy cows. Jed killed the cow earlier by crushing its head with a rock. It took several blows. Tell Tell saw marks are on the cows neck. He leaves the head on the Allemande's porch. He is very drunk and has a wad of bills in his pocket. He opens the dead cows mouth and cuts out its tongue and hides it in some weeds near the house. In his other arm he is carrying the cows heart and liver. He leaves.

Larghetto arrived at his house and dismounted his horse, running to the cow head and looking at it. He swore loudly and and shot his derringer in the air out of rage, waking up several people in the neighborhood, including Fermata. He fell to his knees on the porch and bowed his head, mumbling to himself.
"Stupide... They'll pay for this..."

Fermata quietly exited the house. She cringed at the sight of the cow head before walking over to Larghetto and sitting beside him. She hated to see him like this.
"Mon frere, je regrette." she whispered sympathetically, noticing tears of despair and anger drop to the porch. It seemed nothing hurt him more then the death of an animal.

"[i]Merci, Fermata. Tu es tres gentille,"
Larghetto said finally as he stood,
"Go to sleep."
He picked up the cow head and placed it somewhere off of the porch, then left on his horse.

Fermata simply sat there on the porch for a moment, no longer tired. Soon, she grew bored of sitting, got up, shut the door, and left.

A black horse came trotting up the trail, the young rancher on its back.

As the two neared the home they slowed down, and Raven sighed, jumping off and moving to the front of the house.

"Larghetto?" she called, "Fermata?"

Neither answered and she frowned.

"I'll only take a few moments."

She moved to the head of the cow, and looked around at it. Finding no clues of use.

Foot prints that were once embedded in the dirt, were long since covered over by the steps of others. She sighed.

"Unproductive." She remounted Ail, and took off.

Fermata entered the house and put away the music sheet she had found courtesy of Hellister Scowley. Afterward, she took a seat at the kitchen table, alone. Always alone. This house practically belonged to her.
Realizing she had not eaten yet today, she searched the practically empty cupboards, located a loaf of bread, and began to make a sandwich.

After she had eaten and slept a little, Fermata departed.

Fermata answered the door sleepily.
"What is it now?" she said grumpily. This night just wouldn't end!

"Grab your camera and come quick," Hellister said and quickly picked some flowers growing next to Fermata's house.

"You are going to be a photographer tonight. Get your camera and meet me at the old barn. I will pay you for your service.
Also bring some props."

Hellister started back to the barn.

Fermata grumbled and quickly did as she was told, then rushed after Hellister.

Larghetto walked into his house in early morning. He quickly scrawled a note onto a piece of paper and stuck it on the door before collapsing onto his hardly used bed:
"Sleeping now: Go away."

Eventually he woke up, ripped up the sign, got ready and went out.
