Travis, Clay's 15-year-old-son, lest you forget, knocks on the door.

"Trick or Treat," he shouts through his mask.

After receiving no response, Travis breaks a window in Edmond's home with a rock.

With the household finally finished, Edmond brought the help he in France and made sure they only spoke French in order to please his wife.

(( Sorry, I was posting at the same time ))

The idea of the question offered, seemed to make her brow raise for a moment. She was unsure of if she should answer it truthfully or not.

"Merci, monsieur," she said, but it she could see his pulse beating in his jugular and felt herself clouding over with the seduction that she used to capture her victims.

"It is a bit cold outside," she said softly, looking down and then looking up at him through her long lashes. "Perhaps some tea or another drink to warm you up?"

"Eh, it's no problem really... I could use a work out... gotta keep my health up ya know?" Roddy said. He continued with her up the hill towards the house. "Your fancy husband isn't going to kill me if we go up there is he?" Roddy asked out of curiosity. It didn't seem like the guy really liked Roddy. For that matter, Roddy didn't really like him either.

Roddy grined at the countess, "Not like it matters to me anyways though." he commented pridefully "Sure, I'd love some tea."

(Ack! So confusing! Let's just leave it like this... even if it doesn't make sense haha)

(( lol...yeah... ))

Ariona smiled and opened the large door as they moved into the entrance. She spoke French quickly to a maid a pulled him into the soft, yellow parlor.

"Please, sit," she said, offering over to the couch.

"My...husband...doesn't like a lot of people," she said, quickly turning to play another twist. "But, he is not here and I assure you he will not be here for a long time."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Roddy Piper on Dec 4th, 2006, 7:11pm

Roddy raised an eyebrow as he sat on the yellow couch. He was kind of surprised that Ariona said her husband wasn't there. Actually, as much as Roddy disliked the guy, he would rather him be there to keep him from doing something stupid. Usually when women said there husbands were not home... something was going to happen, or they planned for something to happen.

"O-kay." Roddy said. he was in no hurry to make a hasty exit though. If he felt that he needed to get out of there then he would. That was that... he didn't think that he was in any danger.

When the maid knocked on the door, she felt herself come out of her state of mind for the moment. The tea was set before them and she went to pour a cup but then stopped.

"I feel that I must be truthful with you," she said, trying to make her eyes look away from his neck and squeezed her hands tightly together. "I am not who you think I am."

Quickly, she ushered the maid away.

Roddy looked shocked for a moment, "Oh God... don't tell me you're a guy... no wait... that's impossible." Roddy uttered as he shook his head. "Alright... let me have it then... who is it that you are?" Roddy asked as he leaned back on the couch and rested his hands behind his head. Roddy's eyes rested on her comfortably like he was as relaxed as could be.

Ariona felt the urge again but this time pushed it back.

"I have brought you here not for your best of interest..." she started. But, stopped and looked around as a feeling came over her...she knew that feeling well. It was of someone she had been running from for a long time. "I wish for you to be a host for me."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Roddy Piper on Dec 5th, 2006, 6:04pm

Roddy was confused. He didn't think that he understood what kind of host she was talking about. There are different kinds of hosts, and Roddy didn't want to agree to anything that would be bad for his health to say the least. Roddy stood, all of a sudden feeling uncomfortable with sittign down.

"What kind of host are you talking about? What do you mean by host?" Roddy asked. "I can't be part of an affair if tht's waht ya mean... not my style."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Dec 6th, 2006, 09:55am

She gave a smile.

"I'm not talking about an affair monsieur Piper," she said, looking up at him. "I may have been force ably wed, but I would never dream of something of the sort."

She took a breath while thinking of how to explain to him what kind of host she was talking about and decided to be blunt about.

"How old do you think I look?" she asked.
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Roddy Piper on Dec 6th, 2006, 11:13am

"Whew... that's good... affaris are tricky business anyways." Roddy said with reliefe. "Well... I'd say you look, um, maybe in your late 20s early 30s? Am I wrong?"
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Dec 7th, 2006, 3:15pm

She smiled.

"You flatter me...I am one hundred and sixty-eight years old," she said. Ariona took to her feet; her heels clicked on the honey-colored wooden floor as she walked towards the window and pulled the curtains out of the way to look into the darkness. "The dark is what I must live in, to be comfortable that is. You can rarely catch me awake or about during the daylight hours. It does not harm me but I prefer evenings now."

She turned to him, her eyes having that glow once again. "I wish for you to be my host; just for this evening and I will never ask again. Normally it is my husband that does the work for me, but sometimes I must do it myself especially since we are arguing at the moment."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Roddy Piper on Dec 7th, 2006, 6:53pm

"Okay okay..." Roddy said with a sigh, "What exactly is oyur definition of a host... I'd like to know that before I make any set in stone commitments." Roddy said. He was beginning to get the picture that if he turned it down it might not be a pretty sight. Plus, he was still recovering from hearing how old she really was. That was a real shocker.
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Dec 7th, 2006, 7:40pm

She could sense a strangeness, and wrinkled her nose for a moment to look out the window. Something wasn't setting right with her and she quickly closed the curtains behind her. Shaking off the feeling, she turned back towards him.

"I do not mean to be so blunt. It is just a very hard thing to ask mortals but I will not force your decision. I would like you to be my host," she said. "In other words, I would like to drink some of your blood."

Ariona didn't want an outburst or to scare him, so she made sure to stay on the other side of the room.

"If you do not, it is alright. I will not harm you and I have no means of doing so. If you would allow me, I would only take a little. I wouldn't change you into the monster I am, nor kill you."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Roddy Piper on Dec 7th, 2006, 7:43pm

Roddy though long and hard about this. Of course, beign a fighter, he thought very highly of his blood. But there was something about trying something new that caught his attention. Roddy wasn't sure that he wanted to do it, but it was too tempting to pass up for sure.

"Fine, what the hell... just don't go.. you know... not too much." Roddy said with a shrug.
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Dec 7th, 2006, 7:47pm

Ariona's brows rose with surprise.

"Really?" But quickly she calmed her excitement. It had been a long time since she actually had a real live person give her blood. Usually, Edmund would overfill himself in order to feed her but she decided she wanted to give him a rest and try this on her own in order to get away from him. Even though he was her master, she didn't want to stay in his grasps forever.

"Please," she said, gesturing to the couch.

Roddy sighed as he walked back towards the couch, "I can't believe I'm doing this..." he muttered to himself so that she couldn't hear it. He sat on the couch with his head down, "Alright... let's get this over with please."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Dec 11th, 2006, 1:08pm

She took a seat beside him and gently touched his head and moved it back while her fingers moved down his neck to the jugular vein. Ariona could feel it pulsing while she looked at it, feeling the calling but something in the back of her mind stopped her. Even though she was so close to it, her teeth drawn out, and ready, she couldn't do it. The hotness in her eyes made her angry and she pulled herself away from couch.

Quickly, she turned her back to him so he couldn't see what she had become while her face retorted back to it's original form.

"I apologize," she said loudly. Her fist balled up tightly while she looked at the large portrait that hung above the fireplace of her family when she was young and in Paris. She still kept her back to him and quickly wiped away the tears. "My father always told me that I had the biggest heart out of all of his children. Perhaps that is why I can never take from someone who's heart is beating. I could never wish upon them nor risk the idea of letting them become what it is I am; this monster. Take your leave if you would like and beware of the night. I believe someone has come to town that will not be as kind as I am..."
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Roddy Piper on Dec 11th, 2006, 1:19pm

Roddy was almost disappointed. He didn't even get a pin prick of what it felt like. HE didn't let that show on his face though. "Good..." he said as he stood, "I'd rather keep my blood anyways." he said as he crossed his arms and smirked, "Look miss... I better be getting out of here. I gott do some training if I'm gonna keep my reputation as best fighter understand?"

Roddy chuckled and walked towards the door, "See ya, glad I don't have to be ya." he said with a cheesy grin and walked out.

Ariona moved through the large doors and quickly spoke French to the maids that quickly hustled about at her commands. A maid took her cloak and she ushered the maid to focus on the guest instead of herself. She smoothed out her ruffled pale blue evening gown and lead the way to the evening parlor room decorated in white and gold fabrics. In the top right corner was a small table where she offered a seat.

"Anything is available so please, let me know what you would like to eat," she said.

Dr. Seward looked around in amazement at the manor he looked like alittle kid in a candy shop "and I thought the church was big" he said laughing a bit as he turned to Ariona "could I have some garlic bread" he said he could use an italian like food "so how long have you lived here?"
Re: Marquis Household

Ariona nodded, and ushered the maid off quickly.

"It has only been a few months, not very long. I am used to moving around but I believe Edmond might think this is the place; I would rather be in Paris though," she said with a smile. Thinking of Paris brightened her day, of the times she had as a child and thinking of her family...the other things that were there was their graves and the gave that no one else knew of but herself and Edmond.

Ariona nodded. "Yes, I remember Italy...not a friendly place at the time I went...but that was a while ago and in the distant past."

The maid entered pushing a cart containing the bread, cheese, some wine, and juices.

"Please," she said, ushering to the cart. "Help yourself."

She waited for a moment and then noticed the maid was still standing there. Quickly, they spoke to each other in their language and then Ariona ushered her along.

Dr. Seward looked at the wine he was often tempted by it he was a former alcoholic so he quit mostly to save a little money "depends on where you go in italy" he said as he picked up some of the bread and took bit of it "very good thank you" he said smiling a bit he hadnt eaten good food in such a long time "you know I could sort of tell you were french only french girls are that beautiful"

Dr. Seward smiled a bit assuming the footsteps was just a maid who was wandering into her room or something "your welcome" he said eating some more of the bread "so what is there in this town other then a tavern I would go there but unfortunately I had a drinking problem bad habit"

Edmond knew she was here and this was the chance for him to give his farewell. He gave the server his bags and walked down the steps, down the hall, and to the evening parlor where he quickly opened the door. He was surprised to see a guest but it was not that much of a surprise since she had brought others before.

He moved fully into the room and looked at her and the guest.

"I am the master of this manner," he said, looking at the guest and then back to Ariona.

Ariona gave a nod, but her eyes stopped on his while she could smell the blood. It was rather odd how the scent smelt good to her. Gently, she picked up a napkin and reached across the small table and dabbed his lips and moved up to his nose, trying to be gentle.

Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Jan 10th, 2007, 4:58pm

Ariona thought for a moment. If only he had seen what she had seen...death was something she wished for since it seemed as if it would never come to her. The people she had been introduced to were interesting and people of her kind had no heart beat, but the blood they drank was the blood that ran through their veins. It was odd how they could be alive but at those times she realized they were dead since they had no soul.

"There is the undead," she said.

"I suppose if there is the undead" he looked at the table a bit in a look of sadness "my town had small pox they blamed vampires so they dug up graves and stabbed into the hearts of the dead to disturb them was a sin I believe it is worse then murder" he put his hand on his head a bit it upsetted him watching the stake drive down into a young little girl he had just attempted to save the girl and now they were digging up her grave

"Yes, graves something that are sacred and I feel for the souls that watched their mortal forum being touched in such a way. People are scared of what they do not understand or know of. I am sure that you be a great doctor in this town. All that matters is that at least you tried."

Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Jan 10th, 2007, 5:37pm

She heard the name and felt something inside of her...hurt? She had introduced him as a friend but she was unsure of still how to introduce them still. But, if he was really leaving, then she would have to find someone else to take care of the manly affairs since she was unsure of what she needed to do.

"Edmond," she said softly. "He is more of my guardian. After the death of my parents, I was sent to my god-father, the king, whom left me in the care of his friend's son in hopes I could help him find a suitable lady."

She had lied. What else was she to do? She hated having to lie as such to this nice man but she didn't want to let him know the truth. They had a rocky relationship to begin with and nothing was working. There was only that small connection on the documents that legally made them bound to each other. Nothing else.

Ariona looked at his glasses. It had been a while since she had seen them and still they were interesting to look at.

"Paris was beautiful," she said, smiling to herself at the thought. "My father held all kinds of balls and so our home had to stay in tip-top condition, especially if those of the higher ranking classes came. I remember, it was on my sixteenth birthday when the crown prince came over for a visit. He took me to the opera, and it was beautiful. "ah I see sounds nice I havent seen an opera in my entire life" he said looking over at her from across the table "I was offered to go and see one but I turned them down I knew that it would cost them extra and I felt why waste there money on a lowly doctor like me" he said laughing a bit
Re: Marquis Household

Ariona raised a brow.

"Lowly?" she asked, catching it at the end. "If they were to take you the opera, it was a show of affection. Some people only know how to show affection to others by spending money on them. I wish you would have gone, I am sure you would have had a marvelous time."

Dr. Seward raised his eyebrow "showing affection through money I guess people who are wealthy could do such things but not people like myself well definetly not then I was so broke from my habit" he said laughing a bit "and I'm sure it wasnt out of affection I was invited by a guy and I dont go that way anyways" he said smirking a bit

She giggled.

"I did not mean that sort of affection...just he cared about you for your services."

"yeah I guess" he said smirking abit "by the way how old do you think I look" he said curiously it might seem random but alot of people thought he was older then he was
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Jan 11th, 2007, 3:20pm

She smiled. Usually, she didn't care how old people were, especially since she was older than most of the people in this town and had seen far more than them. His white hair was ruffled, making his have age but when she got to his face, he looked young, even with the spectacles.

"Let me..." she trailed off from speaking and moved from her seat, letting her fingers touch his hair and start smoothing it out. She made a part on the left side and smooth the strands around to focus on his face. From the vase in the center of the table, she pulled out on of the deep yellow roses, broke off the end, and arranged it in his pocket. "Now...if I could get you in a blue suit...."

She stood back to take a look at what she had done so far.

"I would say about your mid or late twenties."

Dr. Seward looked at the flower and then at her "well your the first one to get it right its the gray hair always throws em' off" he said laughing a bit "and I will guess you are 23"

She gave a smile, a bit slyness wrapped in it.

"You are close," she said. "But a lady never tells her age."

She followed it with a wink.

"If you don't mind me asking, why is your hair graying at such a young age?"

She smiled.

"Thank-you...perhaps we shall look at this office of yours?" Ideas were floating through her mind of how to decorate an office, especially so it would be child-friendly. There were many shops she knew of in the business district and thus she wanted to go shopping as well.

Re: Marquis Household

She smiled.

"I am sure with some work it can look beautiful," she said. "It just takes some hard work, good paint, and some nice furniture. I am sure that I have some more furniture in the attic that was bought temporarily until the rest from France came in. I have not been to the attic before so perhaps there are some odd things up there that may be of some help."

She looked down at it for a moment feeling the guilt, but knew she did not want to go back on her word of how she introduced herself and Edmond. She smiled, knowing he had given it to her on their wedding day when she was sixteen.

"No," she said, swallowing the lump in her throat. "It was just a gift that I cherish." She produced a smile in hopes of being believe-able. Gently she picked up the red wine from the iced bucket.

"I hope you do not mind," she said, opening the top and pouring herself a glass. Nervously, she took a taste and felt the aroma moving down her throat and settling softly on her stomach, soothing the nervousness.

Dr. Seward noticed she was nervous or perhaps even lieing. However Dr. Seward believed a person's story alot of times. "I do not mind I was only curious Ariona" He said laughing a bit. "I just diddnt really want a angry husband coming home finding me and attacking me" He said smiling a bit.

Ariona ushered the maids about while she took off her cloak and looked around at the home that she wished was more lively with guests.

"I will lead you to your room," she said, starting towards the stairs. He was going to be in the west wing where she also resided near the garden where the sweet smells would stay in his room and thus make him feel better. She knew it made her feel better all the time when she was down.

"thank you are very kind" Dr. Seward said following her. "a very long day" Dr. Seward said smiling abit. He smelled the flowers. He liked the smell of the flowers. It reminded him of the wine vineyards of italy. When he used to enjoy alcohol not as a addiction but a social drink. He remembered the sweet taste of the wine. The flowers fragrance in the air.

She smiled and continued down the corridor towards a series of room.

"There is a library with who knows how many books in it, the internal garden, and here is your room," she said, stopping to the door three up from the end. "If you need anything, I am the last door in this hall. I will have a maid that speaks English assigned to you. Is there anything else you may need?"

"no not really I am quite good" Dr. Seward said as he hugged Ariona. "thank you for the hospitality I really appreciate it....I'm so glad you werent one of those damn highway men" He smirked. The thought never crossed his mind about the pulse again for now at least. He assumed he was too tired to feel a pulse anyways.
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Feb 1st, 2007, 3:58pm

She gave a nod.

"I bid you good evening," she said, giving a low bow and then walking down the hall to her room. She let out a sigh as she closed her door and quickly leaned against it for a moment. It was too close, way too close. She struggled with her long dress to get it off, she was in a fit of anger. She wanted to get out of the long layers of clothing and just relax without the corset hurting her to breath and making her sit up right.

Finally, she managed to get it off and threw it across the bed but didn't care anymore. Her corset and undergarments would have to do for now. Grabbing the bottle of whiskey, a glass and quickly pouring herself a cup. The liquid tasted good, but she knew what would taste better than this liquid...something warmer.

"I have to keep those thoughts out of my head," she muttered to herself and quickly drank the rest of her cup and starting filling it again. She was relaxed on her long entertaining couch as she leaned over the table, to pour. The fumes smelt good, mixing with the flowers. Nothing made her feel better. She growled at herself again. "Damn you Edmond..."

Her source for food was gone and thus she was going to have to find someone else. That was when she felt the presence in the room but didn't care due to how relaxed she was.

"Stop lurking around, and show yourself," she spat angrily, leaning back lazily on her couch with her cup still in her hand.

OOC: ARGH! I'M a pirate! He eh ehe...jk!

IC:

Sabastian gave a grin and moved from the shadows. He was told that this woman was kind and he never expected her to have such a temper. It was interesting how he was given a job to protect someone when there was already someone else in the household.

"I thought you wouldn't notice me for a while," he said, taking in the smell of whiskey. "Might I have a drink?"

Ah, whiskey was his weakness and the only drink that kept him from being sober. If he had his way, he would bath, breathe, and live in whiskey. From his pocket he pulled out a crumbled letter that had dirt on it.

"Here ya are, mi'lady," he said, giving a mocking bow and taking the drink for her hand, downing it in two long, large gulps.
Re: Marquis Household
Post by Ariona Marquis on Feb 1st, 2007, 4:15pm

Ariona lazily grabbed the note from his hand, glaring at him for a moment. She quickly opened it when she saw the seal over it.

My dearest,
I have sent to you this man that will protect you until I return. Do treat him well and when he arrives, give him what I have promised him. Immortality.

<3 Edmond.

She crumpled the letter and threw it aside. Taking the bottle of whiskey, she gulped it hungrily but felt her body complain and threw it at the door, hearing it shatter. It had been a while since she was in such a rage. She found more glass and started throwing it at the door over and over again, not caring what it was anymore.

"I will NEVER make you what I am!" She felt herself yelling and the rage leaving her as she leaned against the wall, looking over at her mess of alcohol, perfume bottles, and glass objects. Her body was wanting to betray her as she looked at the young man in front of her. He was tempting, his looks were good and the smell of blood...so close...

Dr. Seward could smell the whisky from his room. It was one of the jokes his bar buddies used to have. He could usually tell whether on of his buddies had liqueor on them. He needed a drink but he wouldnt. He walked into his room. He sat on the bed. He heard Ariona yell 'I will never make you what I am'.

Dr. Seward sighed a bit. Laying on his bed. "what is she talking about" He said to himself. His brain told him something was wrong. However his heart told him she would tell him if something was wrong.
Re: Marquis Household

Sabastian scowled. He traveled all this way only to be denied what it was he wanted? It was angry and threw the empty glass near her, watching it shatter on the wall. He lept over the couch and walked toward her.

"I want what was promised to me," he yelled.

She was boiling over again, her anger was coming back with a vengence. She didn't want him in her room right now, her cravings were going to start controlling her any moment.

"You can't always get what you want in life," she said, lifting her head up and glaring at him. Already she hated this cocky pirate and wanted to eat him...

"god I need a drink" Dr. Seward said quietly. He heard Ariona she seemed very angry. Dr. Seward wanted to go in there and see what was going on. However he felt it would be rude to enter. It wasnt his business after all. If things worsened he would step in.

He was starting to like her getting angry and quickly picked her up over his shoulder, stepping on the glass as he walked out of the room.

Ok, now she was REALLY angry.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Coming into MY house, demanding things from me, and then wanting to expose me to the town in my...undergarments? You are a crude man!"

She pulled herself to her feet and fumed. This guy was going to get on her nerves. And to think that Edmond sent him here to watch over her and then ask her to do such things? It was impossible, but her fangs were already starting to grow out. She was going to be uncontrolable soon. Quickly, she started walking back to her room but he grabbed her wrist and held on tight.

"I'm here to become a vampire."

"You bastard!" She could feel her anger rising. She hated the fact that he was spilling her secrets. She was ashamed of what she was already. Quickly, she bent her head down while covered her mouth. Her teeth were growing quickly and she didn't want anyone to see.

Sabastian looked at the woman and then the man. He let out a loud laugh. He looked at her again and laughed even louder, holding his sides for a moment.

"Are you kidding me?" He let another snicker slip out. "That woman right there is a vampire. I met her, what is it...husband? Edmond on my ship while I was taking him from New Orleans towards New York and he promised me immortality if I came here to protect her from Adrian's men. So, I want her to bite me! I know it's in you..."

He bent down to peek at her but she pulled her head further down.

"Come on, just a little love bite on my neck...just a little..." He laughed again.

She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to move, but then again she didn't want to stay here in the middle of the hall. She had broken a lot of glass in there but the maids had came shortly to clean it up. She felt him touch her, and her natural instincts start to act up. She moved and hugged him around the neck, letting her head rest near his neck where she felt the pulse and smelt the sweet smell of blood.

"It's not your fault," she whispered. "Edmond is sneaky and a very bad man."

Her fingers touched the side of his neck for a moment, staying there to feel his heart beating. It felt so warm.

"That was me, and the bottle sprayed everywhere when I threw it," she said honestly. The man hadn't been drunk, just a little bit of a drink. She knew she couldn't do it, and would have to find someone else to eat from. This man was too pure for her to bite.

"Thank-you," she said softly, and then realized what she was wearing. Blushing, she quickly pittered patted back into the room, closing the door. She looked down at her undergarments and wanted to scream to herself, Quickly, she changed into her night gown and robe, where she took a seat on her bed and fell back.

"That was too close," she whispered to herself.

She grabbed the note again, and read it over. It was making her even more angry than she was before. How could Edmond promise something like that to someone she doesn't know? He knows that she wouldn't do anything like that nor wish this curse upon anyone else. It was hard enough to finally accept what she was and then she was to take another life?

There was no way...She crumbled it again in her hand and held onto it tightly, feeling sleep slowly starting to come to her...
Re: Marquis Household

Ariona crawled from the bed, feeling the hunger in her stomach grumble. Luckily she didn't attack anyone last night. It was still rather cold today and she didn't want to freeze.

Dr. Seward woke up. He fell asleep with his glasses on. Sure enough during the night they had fallen on the floor. "dammit' He said picking them up and putting them on. There wasnt any cracks it just annoyed him. To see that his glasses fell on the floor again.

Dr. Seward sat up and walked downstairs. He walked towards what he thought was the smell of food cooking. Which turned out to be the breakfast room. "morning" He said looking at Ariona.

"Good morning," she said. The maid brought her out some coffee that was red. Luckily, she remembered that Edmond packed up some blood just in case down in the basement in case she needed it instead of going on a rampage. The maids had warmed it for her and mixed it was some coffee.

"Feel free to order anything you like."

"He did bring a letter from Edmond though...it had his seal on it. Perhaps he is telling the truth...just a little." It concerned her a bit, but made her angry a little that Edmond had promised such thing. In order to get the pirate to shut-up, she was going to have to make a deal with him.

Dr. Seward pulled up a chair and sat down. Just as he sat down one of the maids walked out with his food. "thank you" He said looking at the food he was so hungry. "uh perhaps we could head down to the tavern and have lunch or something"

She gave a nod.

"That does sound like a plan," she said, the gave a smile. Her other coffee came out and she smiled, looking down at it. Ah, the sweet taste of coffee and the taste of blood all mixed together. The smell made her smile and the warmth made her feel more warm than cold as she always was normally.

"I know this is a personal question but...why aren't you married at your age?" she asked.

She looked at him over the rim of her cup, not taking her eyes off him while he ate. She grinned inwardly to herself, and set the cup down.

"That is too bad," she said, "But, if you love someone, you work with them through good times and bad."

"yeah I guess I just felt like one I diddnt have the time too I got drunk everynight and I'm not the most charming drunk either" Dr. Seward said laughing a little. He ate some of the rice and then another piece of the sasauge. "this food is very good compliments to the chief"

She nodded and gave a smile.

"I understand..neither am I. I tend to get my anger out. I still wonder what else I really threw at the door last night. I have to buy some more perfume sometime, most of it is all over the floor."

She gave a giggle, thinking about how angry she was and then that pirate had made it worse, demanding that of her.

She nodded.

"I couldn't agree more."

Her thoughts tended to wonder a bit as the maids moved around cleaning random things. She hated this large house, especially since it was an empty large house. With a sigh, she excused herself from the table for a moment, not noticing Edmond's letter dropping from her pocket as she walked towards the drawing room the relax playing the piano.
Re: Marquis Household

Dr. Seward looked at the letter fall to the floor. Part of him wanted of wanted to pick up that letter and read it. The other part said dont read it. However curiousity got the better of him after he finished his rice. He picked up the letter and read it. Sounded like a prank letter. However it shook him a bit. Something in the back of his mind said 'she has to be one of them'. However he was misled again by his heart which told him she wasnt lieing and it was just some random letter. He folded it up and held it in his hand. He followed Ariona into the drawing room. "you play the piano?"

Ariona nodded, stopped for a moment.

"Yes, I was made to be instructed by the best. I guess the rich think it is wonderful to show off their children's skills when it comes to musical instruments."

The ivory keys were cold, but she didn't mind, laying into the keys once more from one of the musical pieces she was taught in France.

Dr. Seward listened to her play. He hadnt heard the piano in a while. Well he would when he was a boy in italy. However that was when he would sneak in. All the other times he was just way too poor to get in. "alot of people are pressured to play instruments when they were young I wasnt so lucky"

She smiled and placed his hands on the main keys explaining what letter they were, and the sound they made. She moved over to the higher end over the piano placing her hands in the same position as his.

"No matter where you are, the keys are the same letters. But, they just vary in pitches. The black keys are the sharp keys, but we won't worry about the pedals right now," she said, with a smile. She played a simple four note tune with the right hand. "Do that one."

She felt shaky, and unsure if she wanted to take it. Edmond had revealed a lot in the letter and if it was true, then she would have to do his bidding as he requested. But, the pirate didn't seem like she could trust him with such power...but, she steadied herself and gave a smile.

"My apologies," she said, gently taking the letter and placing it into the folds of her skirts. "I hadn't noticed it was gone."

More or less, she wanted to examine it to make sure it was Edmond's writing. It looked as such, with the i's dotted, t's crosses, and beautiful long letters from the old days.

Dr. Seward shook his head. "my apoligizes I should have handed it to you earlier" He said bowing his head a bit. He felt ashamed for reading the letter. He knew something wasnt right.

Things kept pointing back to that evening in Paris. When that child was stabbed in the heart. The child moaned into the graveyard. The blood was dripping from his forehead. He knew she couldnt she wasnt. The men had just hit her in the heart. Causing her lungs to exhale. Creating the illusion of a moan. Damn superstitious bastards he thought.

The silence felt sticky; it was pressing against her and she knew that some how she needed to liven the mood.

"What shop shall we go to first?" she asked, giving a small smile. She was still worried, and mainly hoping that he hadn't read that letter from Edmond. It revealed it all mainly, but at least it hadn't revealed that they were married; though, his style did suggest they were intimate by him referring to her as "dear". She wanted to tell Seward but knew she would be unable to...mostly, because she was ashamed.

Suddenly a CRASH breaks the awkward silence.

"CRAP!" they could here the intruder say from upstairs.

A teenaged girl had broken into the house, and stuffed everything of value in that room into one old leather bag.

The girl left a calling card in haste in the middle of the floor, along with one piece of jewelry she ha taken from the room and was headed for the window.

Ariona looked out the window from the music room and let out a sigh. A looter already...but it wasn't as if she mattered. Even if there was a looter, it wasn't as if she could do anything. Everything precious she had on her...but the pictures? No, those were not valuable.

"It was a looter," she said softly, calling after Seward and moving down the stairs to get her petticoat. "We should make it to the market place and start getting a look on things so that you are able to open your office. Who knows who could get hurt now with a looter around."

Re: Marquis Household

So, she had decided to go home. There was no where else she wanted to go and she wanted to see the pictures all over again. Ignored the servants, she quickly moved up the stairs and into her room, not caring to leave the door opened or not. Where had she placed them? She looked all over, frantic to find them until she found the photo album pushed in the farthest place in the closet. Slowly, she walked over to her table and took a seat , looking over the pictures carefully and remembering all the times.

How was it that they still hated each other? Why was it they were torn apart? She was uncertain...and continued looking over the pictures...

Sometimes inside her decided that she didn't want to dwell in the past. Edmond was gone. He wasn't coming home. There was something in her stomach that told her that she wasn't going to hear from him for a long time and perhaps this break was going to be the best thing. Perhaps she should talk to Seward? Apologize? Set things straight? No. She needed to think things over and see where it was she was going to be standing.

She had lied to him, decided him, and thought it was in her best interest to do so. She didn't want to hurt him, or have him fun away in fear of her. It was the eyes of fear that made her hate herself even more...Taking to her feet, she didn't bother with a cloak and headed out to walk in solitude.

"Alright, lets play a game then...make things more interesting." Speaking in French she quickly told the maid to stop and she would call then in a moment. Then, looking back up at him she gave a smirk. "Pick out some jewelry that you like, I will wear it. This is how the game goes. The house will be completely dark, there will be no light. I will hide and you will have to find me. There is a time limit of course, which I will have the servants prepare. If you are able to find me then you will be able to keep the jewels that I wear. "Please, sit in the parlor," she said, gesturing to the door to the left while the lights starting going out all over the house and the maids locked the main doors to the home. "Anywhere in the house is game, I will not leave it nor use the secret passage ways. You do not know this place and I would like to make it fair for you as well."

Speaking to one of her maids that spoke English she pushed her towards the man.

"She will answer any questions you need in English. I fear I don't have enough maids that speak your native language. You will have an hour to find me. For five minutes you will be in the parlor and then it will begin. Good luck."

Ariona smiled and disappeared into the darkness...

Ariona smiled while she stood there.

"This is Madame, she is the only maid that speaks English. She will lead Tara to the chapel. And sir, do follow me," she said.

Walking down the hall she entered the yellow room. There was a fireplace against the wall straight from the door, two large comfy chairs, and a table in the corner where drinks were already set up.

Ariona felt saddened; even her past wasn't as bad as his. He had lived his life in agony and yet he was getting revenge? His heart was most likely cold, and frigid from all the years of such deeds.

"Please, do anything you are comfortable with," she said politely. Then, lifting the glass to her lips she let the warm liquid move over her lips, swirl around her tongue in such delight, and then swallowed. She could feel the warmed starting down her throat and then flourishing in her chest and lastly coating her stomach. The color in her eyes started to become alive again, while her skin paled more.

During the times of thirst, her features always seemed to darken. Her golden hair seemed more vibrant, and her soft blue eyes peering over the long black lashes. She was herself again. As if she had just been born. Keen, her senses were while left her listening partially to the soft noises her guest made with his tobacco.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Monsieur Angelus. I am Ariona Du'Mont, but I am not as old as you I am afraid. I feel like a child in comparison to your age. I am only one hundred and sixty-nine. I know things may be hard, but I am sure if you place the past behind you that things may get better. Have you ever thought that it was not God's will for your loved one to die but perhaps the person whom you traded your soul for?" She paused for a moment to take another drink. "Sometimes you can never change fate; it will always be there to make things how they are supposed to be."

Tara childishly listened in. Angelus had intrigued her. At least his evil ways. To find out more about him had to satisfy her sense of curiosity. Tara frowned as he finally finished talking about his previous lover. She had never experienced anything like love, ever. The only thing Tara had ever known was persecution. Tara drew in a breath of air and closed her deep blue eyes. There was a decision she had to make. Angelus or the fallens.

The smell of his cig made her want one. Smoking was something that Tara had not started until she had met Angelus. She clenched her fists and ran back to where the chapel area of the home was. Tara finally released the breath she had brought in and knelt to the ground. 'Ohh to be human for once...' Tara raised her hand and formed a golden knife, and cut away she began at her wings.

The past is never far. You can try to repress it. You can try to hold it back. You can try to deny it. But it will still continue to grow stronger, and stronger like a malignant cancer, that can't be satiated. Each of us manifests our pain in different manners. Whether it's three in the morning in bed... tears in one's eye. Whether it's a need to destroy everything beautiful, or just simply shutting one's self off from society. My father never gave me what I needed, so I understand what it's like to do without. You should understand this I can see it. I can feel your pain. Why can't you understand?

Tara dropped the knife at the sound of Angelus's voice. She stood, her wings broken and bloody. Her eyes closed as she listened intently to everything he had to say. Somehow he knew exactly how she felt, but she didn't understand it. Tara wasn't sure that she wanted to understand.

Tara accepted the cig from his hand and lit it by touching the end of it with her index finger. She took a puff of it before he had finished speaking. When he finished she had it. Tara lay her head on his shoulder as tears stained her cheeks for the first time in century.

"I want to understand...I really do." Tara whispered against his neck. That was the closest Tara had bothered getting to Angelus, but his evil aura didn't bother her anymore. Her ppure one was not so pure anymore anyways. Tara pulled away from Angelus and saw down on the last pew, her wings bent behind her as she lay her head on the pew in front of her.

Angelus sat next to her and gently touched her chin to lift her head up and looked in to her eyes and smiled. "look its hard believe me I mean look at me I'm a 7ft tall vampire you think I'm accepted in the world ? when you become a vampire the demon takes your body, but it doesn't get your soul. that's gone no conscience, no remorse It's an easy way to live. You have no idea what it's like to have done the things I've done and to care. I can walk like a man, but I'm not one. you complain about not being loved ? I loved only once and she is gone and because of that for 2900 years I have walked alone offering a ugly death to everyone I met, and I did it with a song in my heart but now I don't feel anything nothing at all but passion the thing with passion is it lies in all of us sleeping waiting and though unwanted unbidden it will stir open its jaws, and howl it speaks to us, guides us, passion rules us all and we obey what other choice do we have? it hurts sometimes more than we can bear if we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace but we would be hollow empty rooms, shuttered and dank without passion, we'd be truly dead" he looked in to her eyes again

Tara looked up into his eyes, "I know that has to be terrible." She said finally. "But at least you have been able to live like a human once in your life. As have the rest of them... I did not feel human emotions until I was cast away from heaven. For millions of years a lived up there... walking the streets of gold, drinking from the crystal stream..." She sighed, "until I was unfairly accused. There is no anger or agression in heaven... it seems so unreal now that I have lived on earth for so long."

Tara looked away from him. "I... I wasn't sure how to handle human emotions. I'm still not quite able to. Sometimes it is had to know which is which. The first time I looked at you... I couldn't tell if it was fear or fascination." Tara admitted as she stared at the floor. "I did not know what it was to have a soul that was not naturally happy.... But I do know that it sometimes is a heavy burden now that I actually have one that can FEEL other things. It confuses me."

The book read,

"Go Be Somebody. How to get out be-Tween a rock and a hard place."

It was Ghoby Tween's new self help book published by Penguin books Now, thanks to the hospitality of Gohby Tween, it is yours.

Gohby sent off several copies of his new book free to special people. Inside was a message scrawled in Ghoby's writing.

"Dear special friend,

This book can help you get on the right path. I will soon be renting an auditorium space for my free book signing and seminar. Please mail me a letter if you will be in attendance. Free food will be provided! Please forward that letter to Isril's masnion, where I will now be residing."

Also inside the book was a one dollar bill. Gohby had become rich by selling his book in the other county.

(OOC: Sorry, forgot to post over here. I'm such a noob. )

Ariona moved into the mansion, quickly speaking in French which made the maids rush into a bustle to get whatever she was wanting ready. With a small sigh, she lead the way to the parlor room but instead went to the door across the hall. She paused for a moment then entered. The room was dark, and cold as if no one had been in there for a long time.

Pausing for a moment, she closed her eyes only for the lamps all around them to turn on in a blaze. The sliced through the darkness as it showed the plush forest green room that held many book cases in cherry wood. A pair of chairs were in the middle of the room with a small table between them when an oil lamp set lit.

Ariona gestured for him to sit then moved around the room grabbing books. When she had collected all that was needed, she took a seat herself and set the books on the table between them.

"This is the most recent addition of the history of our kind. It gives detail on who is considered our enemy, and the basics you need to know for survival. I'll help you through it but there is a lot of information that I don't remember that will be useful to you," she spoke softly then gestured to the second book. "This is a guide on mainly how to pick out your...meals, along with substitutes you can use."

A maid knocked on the door, then entered with a silver tray. On it was two tea cups, the accessories for tea, and lastly a large silver teapot. Once the maid left, Ariona looked back at him.

"Drink. This is not tea. Our chef has been with our household for years, and knows exactly what to make when I order a drink."

Seward grabbed the cup in the most sophisticated way he could muster. He drank the whole cup quickly. He licked his lips. It was sweet to his mouth and numbed out his pain. "so what are some substitutes.." Seward asked curiously looking at all the books. "I would really like to know the basics"

Ariona thought for a moment. There were a lot of things that held blood that vampires could drink from. But, it was hard to tally a list of exactly everything since she was unsure of the animals in the area. Edmond had everything shipped here through some secret service that she had never heard of before. Perhaps Edmond would be able to let Seward know? It had been a long time since she had seen him since he came back to town. It saddened her to think about it. Something was wrong with him...

"It doesn't have to exactly be humans, mainly anything with blood. Animals seem to work well but you have to be careful with animals. When they are dead for more than an hour, their blood can be a bit poisonous to our kind. It will put your body through hell as if the plague has hit you," she said softly. "I wish Edmond was here to explain it to you where he exactly gets our shipments from. We should be getting a shipment soon too..."

"what kind of blood was that?" Dr. Seward asked curiously. He felt himself getting a bit sick. If it was what he thought it was.

Ariona gave a half of a smile.

"I have no idea...Edmond doesn't seem to share the secrets about the blood he has delivered. I've tried to look for paperwork or a trace of where it comes from but have came up with nothing," she said softly. "It is better than feeling like a beast, hunting people. That part of my life always disgusted me. I hated feeling like an animal on prowl going after a poor innocent victim. It's still hard to look at myself and not be disgusted but will time, all the hatred and disgust will go away."

She wasn't sure if it was possible; the Prince was dead so they would be a target to vampires everywhere but it was hard to tell if anyone was or wasn't happy about it.

She was; he had killed their children. The sorrow was starting to fill her again. Oh, how she wished to have her children back...she missed them so much and by now they would have had their own family lines starting again...

It was the first time she had ever held a gun, and it felt so awkward. She pulled out some bullets and motioned to Seward. "We can take horse back, we won't have time to formally set up a carriage."

Over the past while she had been traveling the western coast and decided to come back here. Smoothing her green gloves over the laced bodice, she continued moving her rounds of the main floor looking for any intrution, her small train leaving a trail in the dust behind her.

She heard the maids moved into the house and start with the main room getting ready to start cleaning. In a few hours, she would need to move to the station where someone would be coming; Edmond had promised. He had decided to stay in the west until business was complete. Looking over the last rooms, she moved from the house to check everything else out and see what was new in the town.

Genesis felt her heart racing as she pulled through the large black iron gate and heard the horse's hooves clicking against the cobble stone drive. The sound echoed around the court-yard making the door open to expose the light of a maid what had been waiting up for her return holding a lantern in the darkness and ushering with her arm for the stable-boy to come quickly. Pulling the wagon to a stop, Genesis found the maid frown at the passenger, after all she had seen many things and this wasn't something new.

"Lil' mistress," started the maid in French, hoping the guest could not understand them, "you skipped dinner and have been roaming these late hours. If your mother was home I know she wouldn't be letting you do something so unladylike...especially comin' home with ah stranger!"

"Now, now, Darline, mind your manners and prepare a room for the kind sir. He is a guest after all, and be sure to keep all porter locked in the cupboards. Make haste!" Genesis ordered in French. The young stable boy held the horse's reins and tried not the peek too much around the beast to the contents in the wagon. Genesis jumped over the side of the wagon, grabbing the lantern and moved gracefully as if in a sort of ballet as she pressed over to the other side staring at her guest.

"Please, right this way. Darline is preparing a room," said Genesis, keeping in mind to stay close in case he needed help but never once offering it so not to bruise his pride. She realized it now that any man would not admit to having the help from a woman, as they were seen as being weak creatures only to be adorned and be beautiful. Mentally she frowned at the idea of this but pushed it into the back of her mind. There was no use trying to prove herself when she already knew what she held. For now, she would play the game of being a 'trophy' to men in hopes of being wed to one that would take care of her.

Genesis slowly lead the way in order for the man to keep up, but hope her slow pace wasn't noticed to much as diddling. Moving through the large front doors, the two were consumed in an elegant circular entrance permitting the far wall to show the elliptical circular stair case the rose in such a column around the white washed room. Hanging from the center glowed and sparkled a circular crystal chandelier. Genesis was lucky this room was finally finished since there were still a few people lingering around the mansion in the absence of her parents to reconstruct the home to look more 'updated' but as Ariona put it 'absolument très beau'.

Her boots seemed to echo through the room against the black and white granite flooring as she lead the way towards one of the white doors to the left. Entering the guest parlor, Genesis was happy to see the heath was lite with a inviting warm vibrant flame as if it wished for company into the long hours of the evening. This room help a vibrant glow in the evening as soft greens accented each article of furniture. The main focus was not on the plentiful seats ranging from long sofas to love seats scattered about adorned by small tables for tea cups or accented with the fragrance of fresh flowers; but instead towards hearth where two tall backed horizontally white and green striped chairs sat comfortably at a distance apart with a small circular table adorned with a laced daisy topper holding a steeping tea pot with two cups, readily waiting to be poured.

"Please, have a seat while the room finishes preparing. Would you like tea, sir?" asked Genesis, gracefully taking a seat on the right leaving the left open, the sign only shown in kindness that a gentleman was always to be on the left. Feeling her training and posture move into place, Genesis gazed at the rippling flames whilst her delicate fingers folded on her lap missing the warmth of her gloves.

He leaned back in the chair and just stared at the wall as the run spun around. Dionysus hated tea it reminded him of china. Dionysus diddn't like China one bit.

"So why did you come to this place?" Dionysus said looking over at Genesis. This was Dionysus's best attempt at a conversation. He asked that to everyone he met. Genesis understood his comment and hoped she could find something...non-alcoholic for him to divulge in. The silence around the room felt calming as she seemed to snuggle her back further into the warmth of the chair as the warm liquid quenched her thirst. The soft aroma of lavender relaxed her as she felt her weary body from a day's adventure ready to sleep. Tuning in to hear his question, she gave a soft smile.

"My parents thought it would be best for my education to live somewhere small where I would not have to deal with male distractions. We were starting to get too many visitors in New York, which my father did not like since he is a very serious business man. I apologize if I seem to sound vain, but it was the first time I ever had that sort of attention before and did not know how to handle the circumstances that came with it," she replied, her voice almost hushing to near the end as a crimson blush pulsed her delicate features. She remembered the gentleman well that had peaked her interest. Her father did not at all seem pleased and she almost resorted to sneaking out in order to see the young officer. Instead, she obeyed and listened to her parents which rewarded her with a small reward of seeing him twice a week. It had been blissful, until it was announced they were to move. The gentleman, not wanting to part ways without trying, had asked permission for her hand. Her father denied him, which left Genesis and her father on bad terms. The last she heard of the officer, he married so quickly once she was gone and it had not been even two months.

"What about yourself? What brought you here?" she questioned.

"Ah! your father is wrapped in the shiny metals of the earth like most men how very unenlightened I hope you are different" Dionysus said kindly as the room began to slow down alittle. Slowly but surely and almost in an instant Dionysus felt himself sobering up. He gazed at the beautiful mansion Genesis lived in and felt wrapped up in it's intrigute beauty. Why on earth would someone build something so great here.

"I came here..cause a man asked me to help his team find gold eventually though I asked them what they desire unfrotunately they all asked me for all the gold in the mine" Dionysus sighed and pointed at the ceiling. He then moved his hands together and then outward almost to simulate the explosion he had used to kill them all.

"They hadnt divided the gold up yet so I kept my word and they each got all the gold" Dionysus said laughing as he finished talking. Dionysus's laughs were loud and booming and echoed around the mansion.

Genesis was intrigued by his story and found herself smiling along with his laughter. She couldn't help but notice how he seemed to look brighter when he was laughing. It was something rare she had found since she moved here, it being dark and drab for so long.

"It seems you have been faced with the greed of others, and only used a tool for someone's own selfish desires," she said, almost talking to herself as her mood seemed to darken. It was hard for her imagine someone being used in such ways and almost made her regret being part of society. But how could she speak so much against it since she lived in splendor? It wasn't as if she asked for it, since she was adopted into it and blessed to be saved from doing the lowest work possible in order to survive. Silent for a moment, she looked up at the man with curiosity. "What is it you desire?"

He noticed his left leg was shaking often a nervous habit of his. Fortunately he still clutched his wine bottle. Dionysus raised the bottle and took a careful sip. He was sure not to be come to intoxicated as before. Forutnately his intoxication only lasted a few hours before almost disappearing from his body. Another benefit from him being a statue. Dionysus tasted the dark red wine. He almost felt as if he was back in Greece. The bitter taste of red wine on the evening over looking a wheat field being worked by Persian slaves. The architecture of Genesis's house so delicate and intriquite must have spurred this memory.

Genesis's delicate features frown for a moment in thought as she pondered his answer. It was true, being a statue did mean there were things he wouldn't need. Basic needs like food, water, shelter...but what else could this man be missing? Genesis began to feel pity, thinking of how lonely it would be to be alone and for the benefit of granting ones wishes.

"It seems like a lonely journey...you are very strong to be able to do such a thing," she spoke softly, placing her emptied tea cup on the table and gazing into the flickering flames once more. The smell of the wine perked her interest, and almost reminded her of her parents. Where were they? When would they be back? Still, she hadn't received any letters from them.

He shook his head his gray stone face reflected the light from the lamps.

"Socrates was strong I am a weak rock" Dionysus said coldly looking up at the ceiling. He seemed fixated on the ceiling as if that name seemed almost sacred to him. Asking questions he should be doing that. He would shake this fly trap till he was strong. He would do what he couldnt do before.

Genesis was silent in her time of contemplation. She could see the truth in how he spoke but found herself wondering why he had lost all his self confidence. Why was it he doubted himself? He was strong, not just because of the physical attributes but she could see the willful mind that intrigued her. This was a man she would rather not have as just an acquaintance, but instead a friend. Before she could speak some words of comfort, Darline noisily move into the room casting a frown.

"The room is ready," she spoke hastily in French, and waited patiently for Genesis to end all conversations. It felt less private with Darline in the room, especially since she tended to keep tabs on everyone in the house. That meant a letter would soon be surely sent to her mother explaining what had taken place here tonight. Feeling herself frown inwardly, Genesis just gave an obedient nod of her head. She would rather not disobey Darline since she seemed to remind Genesis where she truly came from. Something she would rather forget and move on.

"Please, follow Darline the room is prepared," said Genesis, quieter than before. The unhappiness swelled through her like a storm, darkening her eyes as she peered back to the fire place while her thoughts raced of today's events.

"You are strong, never think yourself weak or else you will be so," she blurted out softly.

Dionysus stared at the guest room he strolled to the bed and just sat in it. Too many thoughts for sleep. Mr. Jone's safety seemed to be creeping into Dionysus's mind. Leaving Dionysus in a paralyzed sitting position on the bed till noon.

Genesis had sat there for what seemed like hours, pondering thoughts of bewilderment. Her conscious seemed to creep up on her as her brain caught up with her for her actions. Pressing her lips into a firm line, she continuously gazed at the fire ignoring Darline's French complaints and criticisms for being such a man into the house without consent from her parents along with annoyingly bantering on about how she was becoming closer to age to where she needed to take going out into town seriously for 'catching a husband', as she deemed to word it. The idea of 'catching' anyone seemed to prevail in the feeling of nausea swirling in the pit of her stomach.

Why would she want to do such a thing? Finally moving from the lounge she made her way up stairs, lingering on the staircase looking over the beautiful pictures and change of artwork as the house she once saw finally came to a complete end of changing. The last room to be finished, was the kitchen; to which she understood the maids loved the idea of how Ariona made sure things were comfortable and accessible to their own needs for working. Something else Ariona seemed to put into place was making sure each other maid's rooms were comfortable and designed how th wished, since they had signed a contract to work for this family.

Genesis thought that odd as well, knowing how Edmund's office was tightly locked at some of the servants that worked were creepy. There was only one that would work during day light while another few that would roam by night as if guarding something. Something precious, but she still wondered what. Of course the ideas of myths moved through her mind about the beauty and paleness of her parent's skin or how she never remembered seeing them eat. All the time they would drink, but would never let her taste it. Instead, once they were finished the cups would quickly be taken away or disappear all together.

Undressing, bathing, and crawling into bed with her long night gown, Genesis finally found rest. But, her mind didn't rest. Instead, she was dreaming where she was frantically running as if something was trying to catch her. It was dark, and she wasn't sure where she was going as she raced, tumbled, fell, and tried to escape. Screaming didn't help; it echoed around her as she clawed the dirt and struggled to get away.

'Wake up,' she yelled at herself, feeling something clutch onto her leg and pull her backwards. Kicking, she was pulled along the ground quickly as the light started to come toward her. If only she could see...and then she woke up.

Gasping for air, Genesis flew forward feeling a cold sweat consume her skin. She tingled, and quickly looked at her nails to see they were perfectly clean and checked to make sure she was still in bed. Peering through the blinds she saw the sun already rose and birds had stopped chirping giving her a sign it was at least mid-morning. Taking another bath, Genesis moved through the rituals of getting ready and primping for the day picking out a beautiful dark emerald silky gown adorned with black lace.

Moving down the stairs, she saw a weary Darline waiting at the bottom.

"Where is our guest?" asked Genesis, feeling her voice was rather rasp. Had she been screaming aloud and not just in her dream? Noticing Darline shook her head and never mentioned a word, Genesis found herself moving back up the stairs toward the guest room and giving a soft knocking, hoping she wasn't waking him.

Dioynsus's head shifted quickly to the door as he heard the faint knocking. No doubt Mr. Jones would have busted down the door and attempted to kill Dionysus. Unless perhaps Mr. Jones still needed his help. Dionysus shuddered at this thought he couldn't break the promise.

"Whose there" Dionysus said his voice seemed almost filled with fear as he stared at the door knob. Mr. Jones diddnt scare him not one bit the promise was the part he feared.

Genesis was unsure if she should answer, a shiver moved through her as her dream seemed to flash back at her for a moment.

"Genesis Marquis," she replied softly, hoping the door would give way so her words could flow toward his ears. "I am hoping you slept well and wondered if there was anything you wish to eat."

"Come in quickly" Dionysus said quickly as he quickly scrambled off the bed and stood in front of the door. He was sure Genesis wasn't a spy. Perhaps this was indeed the perfect trap. Dionysus nervously started pacing in the room as he waited for the door to open. He waved his arms like a mad man preacher as his mind attempted to reassure him she was to be trusted.

Obeying, her fingers pressed onto the cold brass handle and twisted. Silently, the door opened due to the hinges being well oiled as she fluttered in and pulled the skirts of her gown close as she pressed the door shut. Her bright emerald gems gazed on the man pacing wondering if there was a way she could help.

Dionysus stopped as the orders of aid from the others filled his head. He placed his hand on his head. He shouldnt have asked that man what his probelm could possibly be. However when Dionysus was fixing that cripple down in the mine he made the mistake of asking for his request as well. Dionysus shook his head in disgust and sat down on the bed.

"That man in the mine blonde hair...one hand scratched torn...almost most blown apart... he was delusional mumbling to me about light and his brother...I grabbed a corpse it was a foolish man that worshipped me and transplanted his organs to save the cripple....I could save both but chose..... seemed to be a leader better then a servent?" Dionysus said his voice trailed off he looked up at Genesis expecting a well thought out awnser. He grabbed the bed blankets and grabbed them tightly twisting the sheets up. Thoughts and worries poured into his mind. Dionysus's stone brain was being spiritually flung against a wall with failures and regrets. In his mind Dionysus was watching the sacrifaces he made jump into the Alantic after him.

Genesis wasn't sure what to make of the ramblings as she stared at the man sitting on the bed in distress. It was painful to watch, as her brows scrunched in thought of how to reply. Perhaps it would be better to ask him instead of answering blindly? Dragging the heavy cushioned chair forward, Genesis took a seat across from him with enough length in case he was to lash his large limbs in anger. Clasping her hands to her lap, she processed his words.

Someone died, but someone as saved. One had sacrificed for the other.

"Do you believe you chose the right response at that point in time?" she asked.

"Choice? is this about a choice no no no this is about promises" Dionysus said laughing as she spoke. Such a frail young woman couldn't seem to wrap her head around the truth. Dionysus never had a choice he simple gave people what they wanted however wasn't scared of a little manipulation.

"Thinking.....that man was mad infact too paranoid even began to not trust me all he said that he wanted serve me so I guess by letting him die he wouldnt have the chance to betray me" Dionysus said took in a deep breathe afterwards. Servents often go wayward for they do not understand Liberation. They do not understand freedom. That is why they always ended up betraying him. Atleast that was the excuse Dionysus made for Greg Wrights lose of loyalty.

Genesis frowned. Her thoughts were rapid as she tried to hold her tongue but in the end, lost at the last.

"If I heard correctly, you let a man die because you thought he would betray you?" she felt the anger spread through her veins like a venom burning to get out, making her tongue feel hot. She could not comfortably sit in the chair any longer properly and found her posture turn slouched. "You betrayed him in the end."

He gazed down at the floor and shook his head quickly. It was almost as if he was shaking the doubt out of his head. Too much negativity was entering his mind. He could tell Genesis was beginning to not like the things he did. He couldnt bare to look disappointment in the eye.

Something seemed to come over her as she thought everything over before speaking once more. Who was she to judge? It was not her place to put guilt onto someone she brought into her home as a guest. Her home was to be a place of comfort for him, not pain where he would be judged by his past events. Already starting to slowly calm, Genesis let out a breath slowly.

"I apologize for judging you. If you believe it was the right course of action to take, then I will agree with you," she replied, finding that it managed to soften with her lightened mood. "Darline has brunch almost complete, would you like to join me?"

Dionysus just watched Genesis awaiting for her to lead him to brunch. He was taken back by Genesis young innocence. The way she almost seemed so forgiving and kind. Dionysus felt a thought race through his mind that seemed to put the pieces together. Perhaps destiny had brought Genesis to him to help him.

Genesis gave a nod, understanding the business aspect since she watched her father work endless. Taking the lead, she pressed forward through the halls and down the elaborate staircase. They took to the same room as the previous night, Darline saying there was no point in formal dining. Genesis moved into the room that now held the fresh scent of wet roses spreading a sweet fragrance. Taking the same seat as before, a small lace clothed table had been placed while Darline stood in the room awaiting orders.

"Only one today," spoke Genesis in French, watching Darline then leave the room. It seemed like seconds before she came back with a tray and set it on the table. The smell of coffee joined the air, mixing with toast, fresh raspberry jam, scrambled eggs, and mixed fruit. Pulling her napkin across her lap, she waited for the man to take a seat.

"Please, let Darline know if there is anything we may get for you," she said softly. Her fingers moved nimbly pouring a cup of coffee first adding a small amount of cream and sugar before moving towards the toast to slide a thin layer of jam. Cutting the toast diagonally, she arranged her plate in a certain order before blurting out, "I don't believe I ever heard your name."

Dionysus quickly pulled a seat up in front of her. He leaned back in the chair and gazed up at Genesis.

"Dionysus that's what they called me in the east in my youth" Dionysus said he leaned forward and let out a loud yawn. Before Dionysus slouched back in his chair.

Genesis paused during her meal to look at him curiously.

"I apologize, I worded that incorrectly. I meant what brought you here, to my home," she replied, still feeling curious. Once again, she resumed drinking her coffee and deciding against ignoring what looked like a tempered outburst. She was used to think like that, especially due to the cold shoulder her father always showed or that sudden flash of anger. Being numb and unsusceptible was something she was a bit proud of. Although at times it made her look like a cold hearted witch, it kept her protected from overly reading into situations or becoming too emotionally attached.

Genesis felt a smile pull the corners of her lips as a strange feeling washed over her...what was this? Happiness? Joy? She couldn't tell exactly as she gazed up at him searching for the words to come to her. Pausing her hands and letting them drop to a side while she thought of the context of the conversation she was about to open up. It had been so long since she expressed her feelings that it almost felt odd. Finally peering to the window to see a pair of sparrows happily fluttering in front it chirping merrily brought the words.

"Have you ever watched animals before Mr. Dionysus? I have spent countless hours watching them from the windows of my confined room due to illness in my childhood. I watched the birds meet, make their nests, lay their eggs, and be happy. Wishing for one day to feel that same joy. On one particular occasion of my gazing, I watched as a crow appeared from no where and watched the sparrows. It waited for the parents to leave to gobble up the fresh hatchings. There were two options I could take from where I watched: let nature take its course without interfering or run out to scare the crow away.

"Pushing myself beyond the limits my body knew none of, I stumbled out to that tree only to be too late. The crow had ate the hatchings and flew flying in a fight with the sparrows. One of the sparrows was injured while the other survived after the crow flew away. It laid, dying before me on the dirt while the other sat in the nest singing a sweetly sad song. Taking it into my hands, I pet the soft feathers hoping it will help it pass in peace as it finally became motionless in my hands.

"I learned those many days after while I recovered from a spur of sickness, that one surviving sparrows song pulled me through. It had abandoned its nest and sung on my window sill day and night. Although it had lost everything, it still managed to find hope in the darkest of times and continue to live. I want to be like that little sparrow and help others find that same hope. It does not matter how dark the past was, or how dark they can be. Everyone needs even the smallest light to find their path out.

"I hope my ramblings make sense, I can find no other way to express myself," she said softly, the blush of embarrassment crimsoning her cheeks as she bowed her head.

He looked away from her again choosing to stare out the window behind her. That sky was so limitless and free. It stetched and moved and changed its path and Dionysus truly felt jealous.

"I'm sure you can always help people...I can almost relate I met a man that wanted to liberate men stuck in the past he believed in science and logic and he told men that they had to open their minds he saw the chains of slavery on every man he saw their scarred ancestors their heads hung and jaws broken and bleeding... he grabbed the gun and shot through the skulls of those oppressors and their blood lined the street and he was a liberator and I wish I could be one too" Dionysus said quickly he let out a sigh to almost emphasize how much he had said. Gardens were complete, the manner grounds were beautiful, but what other use did that land have?

"Why not be a farmer here? If that is a way to start. You will have housing, company, access to our library, and almost anything you could desire," she said, feeling something light up inside her.

"Too much work to do cant farm" Dionysus shook his head and just chuckled alittle. Genesis had taken the old fool seriously. Dionysus was no farmer he meant it almost a figurative term. A farmer is a man who creates order who tames life and keeps peace. Clearly Dionysus was no farmer. He felt a sort of guilt as he if he hinted something that was incorrect. He couldnt lie to such a sweet girl. He shook his head quickly and cursed under his breath.

"I diddnt mean I farm it was something I came up with while trapped in that dark mine" Dionysus said glancing up at her. He then glanced down at the table quickly. Almost as if to hide his shame. He almost wished that he wasnt stone so he could give her smile. He glanced at a nearby window the light bounced off the dust showing the rays. He had never seen such beauty in so long. That mine did things to Dionysus awful things. He dissected societies in his mind. He repeated quotes. He chased memories. He let go of dreams.

Genesis nodded as a blush crept up; she felt embarrassed for misunderstanding his use for words. It brought her attention back to the matter of the mine and hoping he wouldn't go back. Was there a way for her to keep him here? To keep him hidden? If she remembered correctly, the only reason she went there was due to the rumors she was hearing in the bar about a 'diablo' as 'The Rooster' called it. That man, she didn't remember who he was, the one who had sat across from her. Wrinkling her brow to try and remember his name, she continued to drink her coffee slowly having finished her meal.

"I apologize for misunderstanding but the main point is," she started, feeling herself pause. Was she getting protective for his life? It was making her think more and more on the situation as she kept her eyes diverted out the same window he gazed. "I would like to stay. That mine is not a place for you, and I would hate to say this but I believe town is not too fond of what they do not understand. Even I try to stay away from the people here and venture out at night. Coming and going is at your discretion but the offer is still open."

[OOC: Warning, wall of text...I'm hyper and on coffee and feel like I'm on a roll...maybe I need a drum set lol ]

The coffee cup dropped with a loud clatter as Genesis felt the anger blush her face since she couldn't look at him. The truth was going to come out sooner or later but he needed to know if he life was going to be in danger. Could someone kill him? She hoped neither of those men could. Her mind was beginning to get cloudy as she thought of the sparrow again...the heat pushing her tear ducts as they began to water as she tried to keep herself under control. With a flick of her wrist, her white fan seemed to come from an unknown pocket as she flicked it quickly to and fro hoping to conceal her emotions.

"Why shouldn't a weak woman like me be afraid? I am without kin or a proper guardian left in this forsaken place," she retorted coldly, finding her old self starting to come out. She was still a scared child wanting to hide behind her mother's skirts would comfort her. Those skirts were taken from her too early and so very long ago; having been forced to stand on her own two feet Genesis knew she was in another fits of her wavering. There were many times when she wished and dreamed for someone to take care of her so she could live quietly and dutifully but alas, it looked as if it would never happen. Still, she knew she couldn't lie to Dionysus since she felt so much respect for him and the ache of her heart to let him be her redemption for the dead sparrow plaguing her every thought.

"I believe I met your 'Mr. Jones' in the tavern while having a spot of tea exploring the town. He took a seat at my table and began rambling asking if I've ever seen a 'devil'. He believed it was in the mines. This young boy, and man who called himself 'Rooster' were talking about horrible things. Killing and taking this 'devil' down," replied Genesis, her fan moving almost uncontrollably fast as she came to the end of her sentence. She knew how this was going to hit him as she felt the fan fly from her hand, flipping almost in slow motion as it fluttered in a clattering motion against the wooden floor. The heat was quickly returning to her face as she bent her head down feeling the bridges finally give way as the tears started to fall onto the fabric across her lap, darkening it with the wet ringlets.

"Dionysus," spoke Genesis, keeping her voice strong and steady. "I will not let those horrible people commit such acts. If I must resort to begging, I will beg you to stay here where it is safe and if you want to leave this place then let me help you..."

Dionysus had seen tears too much to feel swayed by such things. He had been in wars. He had seen mothers heart broken to see their childs body multilated by the cruely of a mans blade. Tears simply didn't effect him. He stared at Genesis in a sort of awkward silience. Almost seemingly dismayed by her crying in front of him. Why would one cry for a stranger. His body stood perfectly still as he pondered this for a couple of seconds.

"You wish to follow me and protect me" Dionysus said his voice sounded full of confusion. He couldn't imagine Genesis actually being sort of a body guard. She was made of flesh and meat not good body guard material. He shooked his head staring at the ground for a moment.

"You may I do not mind I often wanted a companions days are often cold and merciless besides I need a pupil." Dionysus said kindly he began to quiver in excitement thinking about no longer being alone.

All his existance he had sought some sort of path. Often changing loyalties almost at the blink of an eye. Dionysus gazed down at the young delicate women in front of him. He politely pulled his chair out in front of him and sat in front of her.

"Mr. Jones poor man...very troubled very broken....why would he want to kill me after all I've done for him" Dionysus said sadly he bowed his head in shame. Dionysus often saw himself as a father figure to the poor man.

Genesis wasn't sure if he was speaking in general aloud to himself, or to her indirectly. Leaning back into her chair, relaxing, Genesis thought about the man named Mr. Jones. Who was he? From the character she saw, he drank a lot while sitting in front of her, lacked bathing habits and looked lonely. Why else would he prey on a young woman sitting alone unless he wanted someone to talk to. Bringing the warm coffee to her lips, she sipped away mindlessly, thinking about Dionysus' words.

"What have you done for him, may I ask?" she questioned, curiously.

"I gave him purpose...or perhaps I thought I did...hell bent on disaster my poor child" Dionysus sighed and shook his head in disappointment. He often referred to people who served him as his children. To Dionysus being a child wasn't an age thing it was a state of mind. Mr. Jones was angry at the world and that was Dionysus's responsibility.
Re: Marquis Household

Genesis frowned at the thought someone could be so 'hell-bent', as Dionysus put it. But then again, she knew that feeling very while in her darkened days. Although she was still young, there were so many dark times she felt she had in her life that she needed to make up for by being positive and bright about things. Still, she wondered what happened to her family. After her parents died and all the children went into foster care, it was hard to tell where everyone ended up. No letters, no nothing. Being the youngest was the hardest thing, wondering where the older siblings were and if they were alright while she seemed to live in lavishing splendor just because a couple decided to take a child. Luckily as she was, it still tugged harshly at her heart. Perhaps that was something she needed to do; create an orphanage in this town and take care of the children that help no hope, and try to give them a future. If Ariona was home, she would be able to run the idea through her...but perhaps it wasn't a good idea. What did she know about children? Especially raising more than one in a foster system? All the time, effort, and money. She knew she wouldn't be able to handle it herself.

"Do you believe we could try to give Mr. Jones a new purpose? He did look awfully sad...maybe he needs a goal or purpose in life to look forward to that is positive," said Genesis, her voice slightly above a whisper while her mind continued to work.

The subject of Mr. Jones seemed to make Dionysus nervous. Of course not out of fear that Mr. Jones was any threat to his safety.

"Mr. Jones is chasing something he can never have sadly...I feel one day a man might take advantage of his madness that worries me the most" Dionysus said calmly he stared at the table concentrating on the task at hand. He felt a grip of sadness float into his mind. He had often kept such things in the back of his mind. Perhaps to torment him a different day when he would be much wiser. Perhaps to throw away until he was grinded to dust.

"Perhaps we should come up with a course of action to lower the possibility of that occurring," she said, in no particular fashion. Her belief was the weak of mind were subjected to being easily manipulated into undesirable situations. "No no no no murdering...Mr. Jones is too good a man to harm in such a way" Dionysus said his voice changed almost to that of a nagging mother. Dionysus leaned forward and wagged his finger in her face. He then sat back and gazed up at the ceiling. Dionysus often misinterpreted requests being taught by politicians can do strange things to the mind. These greedy lords of old who now rule the dirt and worms. Often plotted with Dionysus about taking care of problems that were similar. The best course of action was a common phrase. It usually involved Dionysus breaking into victims house and stabbing a young ambitious child until the blood stained the sheets like spilled red wine. By then someone had heard the commotion and he would be spotted by a young maid similar to Genesis. Make sure there are no witnesses and so he would throttle her until her sweet tender neck gave out.

Genesis kept her face smooth while she inwardly frowned before rewording her phrase. How could he jump to the conclusion she wanted Jones dead?

"I am sorry for not elaborating on the subject more. I meant we could come up with a sort of plan to make sure Mr. Jones is out of harm's way as well as keep him away from someone corruptive," she simply stated while dwindling on the thoughts. "Perhaps have him as our alley, or send him on a vacation. Preoccupy him with something that will keep his attention, along those sort of lines."

Dionysus then paused and gazed at Genesis. It was almost then when he noticed how elegant she seemed to be. She seemed like some sort of perfect maiden. The perfect woman for the idea that flew into Dionysus's mind.

"Perhaps you should....approach him befriend him...marry him" Dionysus whispered the last two words under his breath. He couldnt help but feel like an ancient gypsy matchmaker. He giggled like an innocent school girl and gazed up at the ceiling imagining the wedding.

Genesis tried to conceal her frown but it was too late before it was exposed. The first time she had met with Mr. Jones he looked...older...rather too old. He reeked of alcohol and she knew she would be a force to reckon with; that was, if, her father permitted it. Genesis was her own woman, but she lived in this house, under their rules, and who knew what would happen if she did follow the idea of Dionysus. The thought of the duties she was to preform as a housewife made her cringe since she had gotten so used to the books, doing as she pleased, and caring only for herself.

"Where does my father's permission fit into this?" she asked, although she preferred 'seducing' a younger...and better looking...gentleman.

"Perhaps merely talk for now...I dont mean to force anything upon you...you have the curse of choices" Dionysus said calmly looking down at Genesis. He couldnt help but chuckle at the overwhelmed child in front of him.

"Are you happy" Dionysus asked his voice ringed with a sort of faint sadness.

Genesis was unsure how to answer the question since she felt blessed to have been adopted into such a family. Perhaps that was one of her flaws; she spoke of another's happiness but was unable to be happy herself. Could Mr. Jones make her happy? It was a question that was starting to plague her mind. Although he was a...much, older man she did in fact have a dowry by nature that her mother told her of when one day she would be blessed with a happy moment of union. Calculating the fact of his aged appearance, Genesis thought of how long of his demise. She frowned inwardly at herself; she shouldn't think of death of another...especially of one she could potentially seduce.

Back to the mind of his questions, was she happy? She was enjoying the things her new life had given her but indeed she felt a loneliness.

"Something is missing, but I manage to occupy my mind until I can find what it is I am missing," she replied softly, and then seemed to perk at bit at him. "Are you happy Dionysus?"

"Am I happy? no no no...I dont think so...I'm content I'm perfectly content.....I dont need the distractions...opium addicts are happy I am content" Dionysus said kindly he leaned forward and sighed.

"In China I used to kill opium addicts...police crackdowns...strict strict...some poor soul who lost his smartest son's mind to that crippling happiness...asked me to help...I used to bust doors down and bash their faces in...a man begged he had a wife....he wanted to escape he was happy escaping...I cant escape my orders but...I'm content with them" Dionysus said he leaned forward and felt alittle sadness. Dionysus sighed a little thinking about the man. He gazed at the wooden ground. The brown maple floor almost seemed to spout out more memories. More thoughts to be ranted to this poor lonely child.

Genesis felt a sickness turn in the pit of her stomach at the story of killing people but left a lightness come over her while she gave a polite nod. If not happy, being content was something that was always good. She thought how that would apply to herself, and perhaps, if it was something she wished most of all for, she would search for that happiness. Instead, she would stay being 'content'.

"I have to agree that content is better than having the distractions in the way, even if it may sound selfish to be content," she replied, having never given much thought to happiness. Rather, she wished she could find her siblings in order to give herself a bit of closure to what happened and help them in whatever way possible.

Dionysus couldnt help but burst out laughing over saying those words about being content. Dionysus couldnt help but laugh at hypocrisy as he pulled his wine bottle out and took a little drink. The wine poured down his stone face almost making it appear as if he had red blood dripping down his face. Dionysus placed the wine bottle on the table and stared at Genesis.

"My first bottle of wine was given by my first master...a politician good...athenian greek scum incest born garbage...that was when I ate the deer of the greek country side...chased them down hunted...ripped their intestines out...good food...he found me and him and his body gaurds broke me like a horse...tied me up and dragged me through town...I was dragged along rock country sides...yes he placed me up in his palace and gave me that wine...take the edge off he says...took the edge off...I made a good servent" Dionysus said proudly reminising the good old days. Dionysus for the life of him couldn't remember the name of the man. The kind harded man who taught him so much. Dionysus owned his life and future to him.

[OOC: Sorry, family was in town for holiday and couldn't get away :/ ]

Genesis felt her stomach tighten at the sounds of his story but she managed to give a soft smile. This time, she would try to change the subject that of something more entertaining since she wasn't able to handle the violence of the stories.

"Perhaps that is why you like wine," she commented softly, her mind flickering back to the idea of Mr. Jones. "Should we meet with Mr. Jones and find out his plans?"

Dionysus just sighed as his happy memory was ruined by business. He quickly fell off the seat and began to shake uncontrollably on the floor. Darkness creeped into his vision until all he saw was darkness. He thrashed around the floor violently letting out wails and screams. Eventually a vision of Mr. Jones came into focus. Dionysus ripped into his brain for idea's on the surrondings. Dionysus quickly realized the location and judging from the items around him the plan. Dionysus suddenly stopped shaking. He felt the vision go out of focus and the elegant dining room came back into focus.

"Mr. Jones is in Noory Desert...alone broken crying...weak now...good servent prepared to finish task...how unfortunate...cant go cant bear to see him Genesis can you go alone...so much pain in seeing disillusioned" Dionysus said quickly staring up at the ceiling. He didn't feel any desire to sit back at the seat. So instead Dionysus chose to lay there and wait for a reply.

Genesis had been terrified to see the man shaking on the floor and cautiously stayed at a distance so not to get hurt but his heavy, stone limbs flailing about. Once he had stopped moving and spoke the words, Genesis sat on the floor near him hoping he was alright with a frown stretching the corners of her mouth downward.

"Yes, I will ride alone," replied Genesis softly, concern held in her eyes as she peered at him. Moving to her feet, she pulled a few pillows from surrounding chairs and laid them on the floor near Dionysus.

Darline, from hearing the loud commotion, burst into the room paled to see the strange man on the floor.

"Are you alright, Miss?" asked Darline only for Genesis to nod.

"Darline will watch you while I am away, but I will be back shortly and bring Mr. Jones back with me," replied Genesis, pushing to her feet and leaving quickly to start on the task at hand. Darline obeyed the Miss and stayed in the room, moving about to clean the breakfast tray into the kitchen before plopping into a seat near the door with her stitch work to watch over the Dionysus until Genesis returned.

Dionysus nodded his head. He didnt like the idea of seeing Mr. Jones again. However astral projection often made him weakly docile and he had to agree. He gazed at the pillow next to him. He quickly grabbed it squeezed it tightly and waited for Ariona to return. He had no interest in talking to the maid.

Ariona pulled the cloak around her tightly to hide herself as she entered the darkened mansion. Luckily, it was overcast and so the sun did not pierce her soul for the time being. Moving around the home, she pulled the curtains closed to be able to walk around in peace. Hanging her cloak, wisps of her long auburn curls moved across her creamy skin as bright blue eyes gazed at the unfinished remodeling with a frown. Where were all the workers she contracted for the job? Ariona found it irritating that things were not going to plan, especially since she just got back from a trip. Edmund had stayed behind since more business had come up but Ariona did not want to leave Genesis for too long. The young woman was coming of age and she was sure that there might be some suitors that would be lurking around. Wanting the best for Genesis, Ariona knew she was going to need to find out about these suitors if, and when, they came around. This was the best time to prepare, but for now she was going to rest her weary bones.

Sleep never came to her in her immortal body, but closing her eyes and laying still for a few hours with a clear mind always made her feel better. Sensing a strangeness, Ariona moved around to check all the rooms in the mansion. Stopping at her favorite room where her new family had spent most of their time, Ariona entered only to see Darline sitting near the door sewing and a strange guest she had never seen before seating.

"Darline, where is Genesis?" she asked softly, watching the woman perk but a frown move over her lips as her eyes moved to the strange figure in the room. Moving towards the man, she stood a few feet away. "I am Ariona Marquis, mistress of this home, and you may be?"

A slender brow rose curiously with her question.

Dionysus stirred in his sleep as he the words of Ariona. Dionysus felt himself slip from his dream world as he awoke and his stone eyes were greeted by the sharp colors of reality. He quickly lifted himself off the floor slowly standing up. He gazed at Ariona and looked her up and down quickly. Another woman in front of him. Dionysus let out a sigh.

"Dionysus" Dionysus said calmly bowing his head in front of her. As if to announce his obedience to the living.

Ariona did not seem too thrill to have, not only a male guest in her home, but a daughter missing as well. Although her arrival was earlier than expected, she was hoping her home would at least be in some sense of order.

"Do you by chance know where Genesis may be?" asked Ariona.

"She's with that false prophet Mr. Jones seeking salvation no doubt twisted man poor lady...but no matter of lost souls what is it that you want?" Dionysus said quickly gazing at Ariona. He couldnt help notice how pale the woman was. Then again most wealthy people were pale they could afford to rot. In the comfort of their own wooden sanctuaries.

Ariona felt her eyes narrow while she continued to gaze curiously at the man. Her daughter was with a crazy man? Letting out a sigh, Ariona let her posture fall as she pressed an agitated hand against her forehead.

"I told that girl not to get involved with the locals," muttered Ariona under her breath before gazing at him once more. His question hit home but before she burst, she put herself in check. Flicking her wrist to Darline, the maid quickly moved from the room at the mistresses order to gather a "drink" of presumed 'red wine'. "I believe I stated obviously what I wished for, and that is my daughter's location sir."

"Over the years the requests have gotten duller and duller..just like the eroding rock..once rugged and rough and now just a smooth round circle nothing special nothing different nothing exciting" Dionysus said ranting his voice came off as dull and uninterested in Genesis's safety. Dionysus stepped closer to her his rock skin felt the warm sunbeams from the window. The light warmed his gray rock flesh and gave him a feeling of freshness. Dionysus then fell backwards onto the floor. His body had spasms and twitched. His head shook he let out the loud shrieks of a child suffocating. He twisted and squirms on the floor almost making it seem as if he truly wasnt a being made of stone. Dionysus then abruptly stopped and gazed at the ceiling.

"Noory desert madam" Dionysus said quickly his eyes locked onto the fly on the ceiling. Such a tiny insignificant being. A creature that obviously needed liberation unfortunately it could not speak or else Dionysus was sure. It would want every house every wall destroyed. Every human dead such a justifiable desire in Dionysus's mind.

Ariona had retreated into the darkness as she dared not let her skin touch the rays of light for fear she would turn to dust. Darline came back in time with her goblet and pulled the curtains closed snuggly while her mistress drank hungrily. If she was in the desert, then Ariona knew it was a place she would be unable to go. With the need of her protectors for the safety from the sunlight, Ariona knew she would have to wait until Genesis returned. She could not afford to be found out. Licking the crimson liquid from her lips, she kept in the shadows while watching the man curiously.

"Why type of immortal are you?" she questioned, finally taking a plunge at his strange statue-like figure.

"Immortal HAHAHA" Dionysus burst out a wail like laughter. He leaned forward and backwards bellowing his laughter of joy. For around a few minutes or so. Dionysus then shook alittle and let out a sigh t compose himself again.

"I dont eat..I dont breed...I dont live how can I even live forever in the first place ...if I cant even live" Dionysus said his voice sounded sympathetic to his situation. Almost as if to say he felt sorry for himself. A horrible situation it was to be alive and not even feel it.

Ariona begun to feel pity but his words seemed to hit home. Although she was technically an 'immortal', it still felt as if she wasn't living. Hiding in the shadows, staying away from the sun, and needing blood in order to survive.

"I believe we may be in the same situation but under different circumstances," replied Ariona.

Dionysus ignored her reply. He was rather bored by Ariona already. He began to pace in the room and move his arms manically.

"A man once spilled his desire that he wanted me to die...an opium dealer an abuser another that must be cleansed haha...see the orders...bash their skulls the comatose creating opium must be cleansed yes yes yes...I followed that well and the man made a mistake he wanted my death how cruel fortunately I was never alive and I stomped his face off on the street" Dionysus said quickly as he continued to pace. Memories rushed into his mind. He then looked up at Ariona and a faint chuckle spilled from his unmoving stone face.

"What is it you want asked?" Dionysus asked kindly his voice matched the tone of a caring mother to her young child.

"Pardon?" she asked, obviously annoyed.

"listen ma'am you people in this town all you americans never listen and you never think and you never phrase" Dionysus laughed alittle at the irony in his statement. American's were so vague in their requests that it allowed Dionysus to easily exact his justice. Dionysus cocked his head back and lifted his head at the ceiling. He let out a loud annoyed sigh for a few seconds.

"what do you desire men? do you desire money love? what makes you tick what makes that pink blob protected by that rock coating keep wantin to move on" Dionysus said quickly he moved his hand to the side of his face and poked his head. He was sure he had spoken simply enough of the human condition of desire. That even a stupid educated noble man like Ariona could understand.

Ariona's mind seemed to flash into something of her past, thinking of how it felt to be in the warm sun, go swimming during the day, feeling a warm blush push to her cheeks, and most of all, the idea of helping her daughter. She was in a position where Genesis was left in the world and she could not protect her. Letting out a dreadful sigh, Ariona felt her body relax as she rigidly moved with elegance into her seat. To taste food, water, and wine...

"Mortality...is the only thing I crave," she spoke softly.

Dionysus chuckled after remembering other people in his life. He sat down on the floor and gazed his cold stone eyes like a child. His pose almost seemed to resemble a child gazing up at someone he admired greatly. Dionysus admired anyone who daily had to fear death.

"Dying is something natural," replied Ariona, for the first time feeling more like a beast. The more she thought about it, the more she became disgusted with herself. "Before immortality, you take everything for granite. Taste, touch, and to be warm..."

She found herself trailing off unsure if she could continue.

"You are a fine pile of flesh..how do you possibly think your immortal" Dionysus said cheerfully like a curious schoolboy. Dionysus always had a soft spot for the insane. Ariona couldn't help but smile, wondering if this man of stone had ever met an immortal before.

"I live off the blood of others," she replied, feeling her face distort as she showed her now grown canines. Feeling them shrink back, she knew this was a time to put on a show.

"I have fast," she started, and disappeared from in front of him only to appear behind him and close to his stone ear. "Reflexes," she finished. Feeling as if she was doing a dance, Ariona appeared next to a wooden table she had despised Edmund buying.

"More strength than you can imagine," Ariona foretold as her paled hand balled into a fist before slamming directly down into the table and shattering it. Wooden bits and dust seemed to scatter messily around the room. As if this was had been her final act, Ariona took a seat on the couch before Dionysus with a catty smile.

"More so, I am a creature of the night...something humans fear since I have the power of life and death in my hands all by a single bite," she finished.

Dionysus let out a childish giggle as she broke the table. He claped his hands and quickly stood up. He walked forward and gripped her hand. He moved her hand forward and pressed it against his face.

"Your so strong" Dionysus rubbed his hand against her face and let out a sigh. He couldnt help but find some sort of hilarious novelty in such a petite woman being so strong.

He drew his hand back and laughed letting go off her hand. He leaned forward letting out more obnoxious laughter.

"many people tried to kill me...swords and axes and oh lord muskets and blunderbusses all tried to break this shell down...just as cursed as you little girl" Dionysus said calmly he could almost feel an odd feeling of connection to the woman. Now that he knew that she was as strong as him. However he was almost positive the girl was not as clever. Which always seemed to be Dionysus's greatest advantage over others.

"I have seen persucutions I once met a witch being burnt at the stake she told me god would save her and I told her I serve god...and the poor girl smiled at me....I just stood there and awaited its response and there was none...god bless her soul" Dionysus said calmly attempting to relate to Ariona. Of course this would prove difficult since he had burnt that poor girl alive at the stake.
